I tried this, but Arthas just suicided the last soul into Public Defender after an unlucky roll. Seems like a good, cheaper option if that doesn't happen though.
That seems like a GOOD thing. If you're playing this, you're almost definitely playing the quest. In which case having 2 drops bait Polymorph or Hex means you can get another offensive Adapt instead of needing to pick up spell immunity.
I feel like Silence/Hex/Polymorph on this shouldn't be too much of an issue. I mean, when Galvadon was revealed (and let's be honest, if you're playing this, you're probably playing the quest), people were saying it was garbage because of those things. So I actually like this card being perfect bait for them.

Hey, y'know that thing we had the Lich King do to cripple Hunter players? What if we tried to push it as a deck archetype?

Things like Shaky Zipgunner, Grimestreet Smuggler and Hidden Cache's effects.

Even if it gets hit with one of those, baiting out potential answers to Galvadon is still pretty good.

It sounds like they actually mean Timber Wolf going by the token bit. And I guess it doesn't see much play because it's just a 1/1 on its own?

Firelands Portal is one of the prologue cards, yeah.
