posted a message on Anub'rekhan Needs Another Nerf

Needs to go down to next 2 minions cost armor instead of 3 minions. Also since Team 5 decided to do nothing about another year of insane druid armor gain why didn't Platebreaker come back. Seemed like a no brainer to me it is a dead tech card in so many matchups but counters druid and sometimes warrior perfectly. And guess what neither of those two classes die in standard with this card existing. They just need to be more careful about when the armor ramp. Platebreaker saw almost no use in when it was in standard rotation. Why not bring it back?

The stupid druid combo of Anub, Jailer, and Tony counter any control or combo deck aside from maybe priest who has a chance of stealing the combo. Not to mention the the hero power armor and attack cards help survive most aggro decks. Somehow I face this deck all the time even though it's not that high in popularity

posted a message on Tony and Fatigue Issues

Trying to figure out a warlock deck That uses Tony to put fatigue damage from warlock cards onto the opponent. Warlock has three new cards from this set Baritone Imp, Crescendo, and Crazed Conductor. Along with those cards warlock has several immunity cards in Void Virtuoso, Felstring Harp, and Mal'Ganis. I don't understand how this combo is not working as it seems like it was intended. If I build up fatigue damage through those cards and then actually hit fatigue after playing The Jailer and then swap decks with Tony why would my opponent not take that next fatigue and instead only takes 1 damage?

posted a message on Class Specialization like the Rune System

After almost solely playing Death Knight since it's release with 500 wins and assuming at 50% winrate but probably a little less. I've probably got around 1000 games played. Mostly with Triple Blood, then triple unholy, and lastly triple frost and few highlander versions I feel like DK is a really well balanced class and has clear direction with archetypes due to the rune system. I posted about this early on in the expansion but I do believe a class spec system for each class would be a big quality of life improvement and In my opinion a lot more fun for each class.

I would say some classes already have some clear cut archetypes like Shadow Priest or Imp lock (demonology). Maybe I'm just speaking for myself on this whole topic but I get tired of seeing every class having access to all of the most powerful cards in their deck.

Take Hunter for example, class specs are Marksman, Survival, and Beastmaster. Right now Hunters are mostly playing big beast and shockspitter decks. Right now both deck types rely on weapons, which are more of a survival spec card, to either reduce cost of their best beasts or boost the damage of shockspitter. I think if a class specialization system was implemented then decks like these could still be viable but not able to consistently use the best of both worlds. For example, Death Knights can only discover cards outside of their majority runes used with neutral discover cards, however, I do not think DKs should be able to discover higher runic power cards through neutrals than what they are using in their deck.

Example: If a 2 Blood 1 Unholy or 2 Blood 1 Frost plays a neutral discover they shouldn't be able to discover a triple blood spell or a double Unholy/Frost spell.

Another good example of class spec cards is last rotations' Warrior had the Bulwark of Azzinoth which was one of my favorite warrior cards ever. A true Protection warrior card that mitigated damage. Right now Paladin has the closest card to something like in the Cariel Hero card which is clearly a more powerful card than the weapon. Armor gain is also core to warrior and like Death Knight there are certain cards that don't adhere to the rune system so they can be used in all class archetypes.

Curious on anyone else's thoughts on the Death Knight rune system and how it might be applied to the rest of the classes in the future.

posted a message on 25.2.2 Patch Notes - Buffs and Nerfs in Constructed and Battlegrounds

Why can't Team 5 just admit that they made a mistake with bringing Brann back to core and letting Shockspitter go face? Nerfing the mana does nothing when they still use dredge weapon and ram that discounts next beast. The Same combos still exist. At this rate Astalor should do damage to enemy minions only. If players wanna do crazy damage they should still be running Denathrius and he's a lot harder to bounce back to hand/duplicate effects.

posted a message on Problem with the most recent Neutral Legendaries

100% Agree. I would also going to include Mr. Smite. These neutral legendaries are flat out ruining the game. They give every class a win condition that should not belong to them. If i get burned down by an opponents class cards I'm coming away from that game going I need to tech against or counter this minion. But for two expansions straight these cards were fun for like a week and now they're honestly boring af but they're necessary auto includes in so many decks because if you don't run it then you don't really have a competitive deck. That is not how standard HS should be played and that's not just my opinion that type of logic is the same thing Team 5 developers have stated that cards like these create unfun win conditions. For a long time the biggest exploits were neutral charge cards or infinite OTKs. They went away, they came back and were still a problem, go figure. Now we have cards that build damage in hand so you're now punished for clearing the board countless times or making smart trades.

I think bringing back rotated cards to the core set was a fantastic decision. However, some of the cards that were approved to go back in to standard do not mesh with modern HS. On top of that the ideology of just letting certain cards stay unbalanced because they will rotate soon isn't an effective strategy and seemingly not an effective business decision because you push players already frustrated by the game even further away.

posted a message on What does a balanced meta look like?

I think team 5 approaches it from the perspective of option B but that inherently leaves certain classes in the dust. For as long as i can remember 1 to 2 classes usually seem to have the spotlight where they're just the most dominant class with a couple of top tier deck options. Then they get nerfed into oblivion sometimes or a rotation occurs and the meta decks are gutted.

Tier 3... Yeah sure thing lol

Yes, tier 3. On both Vicious Syndicate and HSReplay, Ramp Druid is listed as a tier 3 deck with a win rate below 50%.

I can't imagine why you think it's better than that. If you ever tried to use it, you'd see how bad it is.

It's not about deck tier or winrate it's about deck popularity meaning you face it more than most decks. So when you lose to the same combo over and over again at high ranks you know it's due for a change and Brann is the only card that creates the combo

Druid doesn't come anywhere close to Blood DK in terms of popularity. Frost DK and Thief Rogue also outnumber it by significant margins. My guess is, you're playing one of those, which is why you're so mad about Druid. NEWS FLASH: Those decks are also annoying to play against!

You should actually rejoice when you see a bad deck become popular -- it means you can score a lot of easy W's by playing a deck that counters it. In this case, that's just about anything that is even slightly competitive. Sure, it probably feels bad when Druid beats your slow-as-molasses homebrew, but that's not really a nerf situation.

If you're a "never aggro" player, then this is 100% your problem, not the game's. You choose not to punish a bad deck. You choose to play a slow deck that is even more popular than the one you're complaining about. You deserve to lose a few games to Brastalor along the way.

Since the early nerfs this expansion Ramp/Combo druid (it's called Ramp on HSreplay) is a top 5 most popular deck from Diamond 10 to Legend. IT IS the most common druid deck played by a long shot and you're stacking it up against DK which is a brand new hero class of course it's going to be popular and it's still not by much. Thief and now the Maestra Miracle rogue is nearly identical to Ramp druid in popularity because it's a great counter to druid.

It seems like you think people want card nerfs purely out of frustration. That is never the driving force behind nerfs. it all comes down to the playrate/winrate when team 5 makes their decision that is why some if not most of the cards listed in this post will be nerfed. If certain cards consistently create an "UN-FUN" experience then they will be addressed. This is not my opinion this is a fact of how the developers read into the data of this game.

I agree instead of a mana nerf the interaction between Maestra of the Masquerade needs to be fixed. it needs to be the interaction of how many cards from another class are added as rogue and not the fake class.

Also i believe Serrated Bone Spike should be nerfed to 2 damage down from 3. that card is consistently killing too many early targets. makes it the perfect counter to the most common 2 mana minions being played right now

What's the point of nerfing Astalors final form to 9 Mana? everyone plays it at 10 Mana anyway because of manathirst

because a hero power or more powerful mana discounted card can be played alongside. It's the same reason they nerfed Archivist Elysiana to 9 mana so a second card couldn't be consistently played with it forcing it to be kind of a dead turn

Blizzard added a way to report your last opponent.  I suggest you use it when you see signs of botting.

as far as we can tell like most report functions in games this one does not work. or they are going to wait a certain amount of weeks/months to do a big ban wave.
