I like it. I think a free build around me card is great for the start of standard. Gives new players and free players a nice jumping off point (the free packs via quest help too).
I also doubt they'd do this mechanic again, at least so drastically. Perhaps on a smaller scale in an adventure similar to BRM did with dragons.
Looking forward to crafting a few followers and putting C'thun to work.
I'm going to be playing solely wild, and yep, now with BGH nerfed, the good doctor will be staple in most ever deck there is.
Isn't it already in most decks? I don't see how the BGH nerf changed anything for him. I'm actually hoping that nerf would open up a little variety in the late game. Though with Owl still mostly intact expensive drops still need to still 'do something now' to effect the board/game. So maybe not much has changed.
People may not play silence minions for the body alone, but when 1 more mana gets you +2/+2 I think you just might. The OP makes a very valid point
And 1 less mana means you can drop a bigger minion beside it. While +2/2 for 1 more mana is great normally I don't see it as the case here. Having the same effect on say turn 10 but being able to drop something like Dr. Boom beside it is stronger than the 2/2.
I would take what you said with more weight except that Arcane Golem got hit hard into oblivion. Dare I say Face Hunter is dead? If not dead, crippled badly.
Face will never die. For the good of the game it can't. Aggro has its place in a card game.
I do agree Arcane Golem got hit hard. So did Force and Blade Flurry. Not that they weren't needed and for force I would of git Roar instead.
I also would of hit Owl and Keeper a bit harder. I think they got off light.
I think they got it right with BGH and Giant though. Time will tell however.
And demon warlocks are running of Voildcaller's deck. It didn't get a working mech, Inspire, or joust deck though,
To be fair no one really got joust working and inspire is currently seen lackluster. I love Inspire it works quite well in some decks. Paladin is quite fun with the silver hand inspire card and Mukla's Champion.
Mech lock does work as well. Especially with the new gorillabot. The Fel Cannon is very powerful and I got lucky with a Mimiron's Head recently which has been a fun addition. Sure it won't hit legend but it is perfectly playable.
While mech hunter or paladin haven't taken off with a little support it can. The new Anyfin card made paladin murlocs a thing. I'm sure in time those decks will crop up.
Forget the stats, what's up with it being Legendary? Aren't legendaries named characters? What, did the Old Gods make it and say to themselves, 'hmm, what would be a good unique name? I know, Monstrosity!' ?
The art kinda of reminds me of those fog beasts from Pandaria. So it's kinda linked to Yah'sharajj and the mists (the sha of pride). Or perhaps some sort of seaweed elemental thing. Like those seaweed Vykrul guys. It does have a name. The Boogeymonster is kind of a unique name don't you think? His friends probably call him Bob though.
Anyway this card looks cool. Can't wait to mess around with it. Would be fun with charge, windfury or maybe Blizz will make a spell to give minions that cleave effect of Magnataur Alpha. Could be fun.
A card to help out Mech Hunter a bit. Giving them a midgame draw to refresh their hand but kept it a weak minion with stats that mirror the Starving Buzzard. Gave it a Reno twist on how the draw works to fit this weeks theme.

I can't imagine the Old Gods having pirate minions, kind of kills the "evil" atmosphere for me
I understand where you are coming from but game play does need to trump flavor. Continuing to support mech and pirate and beast is important.
Also the faceless are shape-shifting monsters. So if they want to be a pirate for a day you can't really stop them. Heck they got into the throne room in Stormwind. Yogg'Saron pretend to be a Vykrul woman. So shape shifting is kind of a thing.
I had to vote for Kripp here. The picture seems to be a water ascendant of some kind or perhaps the elemental monstrosity itself from the Bastion of Twilight. Probably a shaman card but curious to see what it is.

I had dislike the previous spellslinger already with the random spells. Now this with random targets and okay stats, just not my kind of card.

Tried to keep it simple. Not that many high cost Taunt minions. Gave it Fearsome Doomguard stats with the Drakonid Crusher condition.

Wanted to push Murlocs into another classes. Figured a Mistress of Pain style effect for Warlocks was fitting.

Favorite is easily Fel Cannon. Love my Mechano Legion deck.
Honorable mention: Mimiron's Head.
