Dume85 posted a message on Coglorin's Number 1 Legend ShamanPosted in: Coglorin's Number 1 Legend ShamanIf this guy got rank one with it he probably did it by A getting lucky and B starting from rank 2. There are so many things about this deck that just don't make any sense. 2 frost wolfs why? 2 earth shock why? Heal bot seems odd too. This was probably done on the day when ranked was nothing but face hunter shaman still rekts face hunter.

unprime posted a message on Master of CeremoniesPosted in: Master of CeremoniesBecause it's Spell Damage, you immediately think Mage, but this could be keystone for a spell damage Rogue. Which doesn't really exist, but rogue has some decent damaging spells. A 6/4 on turn 3 is going to get your opponent's attention pretty well, possibly keeping those spell damage minions alive longer and getting some better use out of Shiv, Fan of Knives, etc.

user-12915183 posted a message on Ancestral KnowledgePosted in: Ancestral KnowledgeExcept that's not how it works. You can't add upp overload and the mana cost and say 'Well it's 4 mana for 2 cards' if you're on 9 mana (yes I just used this comparison above) and play this card and draw boom, you can play him. If you were to play arcane intellect you wouldn't be able to. It's 2 mana this turn, and the next turn in exchange for 2 cards. That's a pretty damn good deal. Especially since shaman has been lacking card draw.

user-12915183 posted a message on Ancestral KnowledgePosted in: Ancestral KnowledgeYou can't just reject a card because another class has a smiliar card with different mana costs, this is a fantastic card because it's exactly what shaman has been lacking for a long time now. And another thing, if you're on 9 mana and you play this card and draw boom, you can play him. If you used an arcane intellect on turn 9 and drew boom, you wouldn't be able to play him.

The amount of people who are wrong about this is amazing.

This card is disgusting.
2 of auto include in practically everything outside aggro.

You missed off 'Yes but I totally regret it' as an option.

I need to talk to my therapist about this place. You guys are always so quick to denounce interesting cards that force even the slightest element of decision making or, heaven forbid, ingenuity over netdecking. I can so clearly imagine all the people who shout and scream about cards like this being bad bashing each other over the head with Prenerf Eaglehorn or Doomhammer+prenerf Rockbiter Weapon, drawing cave paintings of prenerf Undertaker whilst touching themselves reminiscing about a time before Golakka Crawler.

In before people realise this is absurd because of Lifesteal and that this dramatically offsets the harm the discard mechanic currently inflicts on Warlocks. Consider a few things:
1. Discard isn't going away and this buffs the mechanic substantially.
2. Warlocks that can heal reliably are disgustingly powerful. Consider the reason Warlocks are trash tier currently - they can't gain card advantage over all the randon card generation their opponents have without killing themselves. This helps offset the clock Warlocks have to put themselves on.
3. Prince Keleseth and Prince Taladran exist...buffing discard further.
4. It's a huge removal target just by the threat of buffs alone. Zoo is going to run this and if highlander lock can get this behind a wall...
5. We haven't seen everything yet.
6. SPIIIIIDER ICHOR!

Why are you talking about this like it needs discussing. Theyre pigeonholed because of their hero power, as Dinomancy shows.

Thank you for promoting cancer, Hearthpwn. Truly, you are glorious in Ben Brode's sight.

I don't normally share my decks as I usually experiment with cards that I like to play and then don't progress very far because the decks I make aren't busted aggro decks.
However, given that Rogue has always been my favourite class from the days when you'd run Shattered Sun Cleric and Dark Iron Dwarf through to trying hopelessly to get Burgle Rogue to work, I'm gutted to see that it's now finally competitive again (yeah, Miracle Rogue is boring though) because it now has one of the most obnoxious deck l ists since Undertaker Hunter. Honestly, give me Undertaker Hunter AND Secret Pally over this Quest Rogue crap.
To that end, I wanted to share a deck I've been trying with some success on the ladder. I've included a brief writeup that I'm expanding on as I experiment. The decks I'm seeing most are listed in the writeup too and I'm climbing steadily. Fellow Rogues, please don't succumb to the cancerous Quest aggro crap and try something a little more complex and fun!
Feedback welcome, give it a whirl and tell me what you think, this is by no means the 'best' list as I'm still tweaking it.

Nice to see someone trying out this archetype too.
Let's share our ideas and experiences and try to steer people away from that Quest Rogue B.S.
My version with a brief writeup:
