Yeah, the bonuses should just be bonuses, so we get a bit more gold after the first part.
And if we count the xp you get on average per day it's 1857 xp per day from quest (If we merge daily and weekly), and if we add 400 xp per day from just playing, then it takes 87 days, maximum to get to the bonus levels. So if an expansion is exactly 17 weeks, as I have heared that it is, then you will have 32 days off bonus level. (Not counting achievements, and extra play)
Yeah I think it is to boost the "fun" for paying customers. Spread out during the expansion none win grinders, will kinda get the same, but most of it will be at the end of a expansion. I think they made the system like this mostly so those who buy pack will have an easier time in ranked, then free to play players, since free to play can't really get much gold until further in to the expansion, they just get a few small starters.
Yeah if you only count gold in the new system, and not the "gifts" you get an average of 1857 xp per day from quests alone and a max of 400 xp per hour, that is similar to getting the following:
52 gold per day,
11 gold per hour,
During the first 50 levels
and
62 gold per day.
13 gold per hour.
During the 100 bonus levels.
So players who only does dailies and play around an hour a day get somewhere a bit over 8000 gold and a few bonus gifts. (Not counting achievement xp). So it is why worse for the win grinders, however I you must have played more then 10 gold per day, since with the same calculation if and expansion is actually 17 weeks that I have counted on and you only do 60 gold quest, and get 10 gold per day then you should only get 8 330. So you should have received many more 10 gold wins, and if that was under less then an our, then the new system is way worse. But if you instead don't care as much about winning and instead spread out your play during different hours in a day, then you should be able to get around the same.... Yeeeeeeay....
I think they made the system like this mostly so those who buy pack will have an easier time in ranked, then free to play players, since free to play can't really get much gold until further in to the expansion, they just get a few small starters.
From 77 packs, I have gotten 8 legendaries and two of them were golden. So I think that's alright, (Only counting legendaries from the packs, not the bonus legendaries). :)
Well playing him on exactly four mana, can actually save some control decks. Then you can draw three of your highest cards at least before the rest burn. (If both player get their combo of on the lowest amount of mana).
Lorekeeper Polkelt can also be good to draw a seven cost card and then this legendary if the rest of your deck is lower.
SO I think that there are still a lot of reasons to play him.
Well as I see it, you can see hearthstone as a card game. In that case it's always been a thing to buy cards to play. Difference here is that it's a lot cheaper for them to produce these cards, that real cards that need to be printed and shipped out. But then again the packs are a bit cheaper to then most regular packs of cards. However in real card game, the high value cards can actually be sold again, when you tire of the card game. This is impossible here, unless you want to break some rules. So since your card will stop working if the game stops and you can't actually sell them, they should be way cheaper to buy.
You could otherwise just see hearthstone as a regular game. Most game cost 60 dollar, with some extra maybe 90 dollars. That is close to what one expansion cost for the average player. That is for example a lot more then wow cost, and when they pay they get a lot more.
So anyway what I'm saying is, not matter how you see it, you are getting robbed. But it can be fine, I like to support them too, but I'm not going to want to spend money on a game that makes me feel stupid for tossing money in a lake. They are currently trying to get as much for the higher payers as possible, but instead they could be focusing on lowering the prices so more can buy and play. And they would still earn enough money, and less people would feel locked out, or agitated by overpricing.
But yeah I agree that of course you shouldn't get everything for free, part of a card game is collecting, but it doesn't mean that we have to be satisficed with the prices of the product.
Yeah looks like it can be fun. :D From what I read from other users below these seem like fun targets.
Flik Skyshiv 6 mana, this 2 mana, shadowstep this, Flik Skyshiv 1 mana, this 0 mana, 1 mana Flik Skyshiv. = 10 mana kill three enemy minions permanently. (and with one more shadowstep you can keep this or play another Flik Skyshiv next turn) Heistbaron Togwaggle, this + shadowstep = 10 mana, three Heistbaron Togwaggle effects. (Also an extra time next turn with another shadowstep) Kronx Dragonhoof, this + shadowstep = 10 mana, three Kronx Dragonhoof effects. (Also an extra time next turn with another shadowstep) Leeroy Jenkins, this + 2 shadowstep = 10 mana, 24 face damage. Or with some prep to cheapen Leeroy or this before, then you can get 30 face damage in one turn…. Tess Greymane, this + pre shadowstep + shadowstep = 10 mana, three Tess Greymane effects.
With some other cost reductions cards and/or coins you can play Dragonqueen Alexstrasza two or three times in a turn. C’Thun two or three times in a turn. Yogg-Saron, Master of Fate C’thun, the Shattered

I got 8, so that's around one legendary per ninth pack. Yeah based on what I normally get from opening packs, I am rather okay with those stats.
Counting all bonus legendaries and things, then I got 11, soon 12 once I level up three more times.

Oh, that sucks, hope you still got something useful from them.

Then report it, and it will go to jail, and you will be placed in foster care with another legendary. :)

Well almost, but once one die it gives a minion deathrattle. So if all die, before it has passed on it's deathrattle then they are gone.

Fun effect, and can be eternal if enemies don't have enough silence or multi removals.

Right, for some reason I was sure this costed 3, not two, then never mind.
6, 2, 1, 0, 1. IT checks out perfectly.
