Truffles20 posted a message on I dont understand why people use this site so much?Posted in: General DiscussionI mainly use this site for the news regarding new expansions or balance changes. Also this site is very good at scrolling through the cards in general in each expansion. There are good informative players on here and the mods are good and there are people who are just interested in the game and even ask for advice. However I think only Reddit is saltier than these forums to be honest. A lot of the threads in the forums tend to turn into a huge saltfest.

Psy_Kik posted a message on Is Hearthstone Pay to Win?Posted in: General DiscussionAny free to play model that doesn't just sell cosmetics (See Path of Exile) and sells things that tie directly to/potentially improve game mechanics and power is p2win.
Therefore, like nearly all f2p games with a competitive multiplayer element, hearthstone is p2win.
I win most of the time in hearthstone and I have never spent anything on it, this does not invalidate the above, people have a poor understanding of the definition. Games companies of course love this, and encourage the blurring of the lines as best they can.
Activision would love to create a world where they can sell single and multi-player games where they can blatantly sell you in game power, without the game being trashed by the user base and press. They were careful at first with DLC, now season passes come with every AAA game release, including theirs and there is no doubt they pull content from the initial release to pad this out.

You're doing good, I'm stuck between 19 and 16 :)))

I'm definitely dusting Corridor Creeper and Patches the Pirate. These cards have been made completely unplayable.
No reason to dust Bonemare as it's just a common.
I'm not sure about Raza, the Chained. I believe it may be still playable in Wild.

Highlander Priest. In the history of Hearthstone there was never a deck so boring.

I can't believe they are bothering us with this mandatory account merge. I don't watch Twitch, don't care about it, and now I'm forced to make an account there. Not fair!

I have 0/3 so far. My opponents constantly get best possible minions. Feckin RNG

This is so boring. Totally RNG and wastes SO much time on discovering a card every turn

NO. This looks like the worst expansion ever in the history of Hearthstone. I don't like anything about it: theme, mechanics, currently revealed cards.

It's a fun card, but not very good. Hunter's most powerful weapon is Steady Shot hero power. The inevitability of 2 damage per turn. That's how Hunters close games. And stupid DK removes that and gives an opponent a chance to stabilize at low life total and win the game he shouldn't have won.

I didn't bother because the reward is so poor: Additional hero for the class I rarely play

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Druid is my favorite class. Whenever it becomes good, they nerf it!
