We passed from a game that stayed the same year over year to this game that I hardly recognize. It seems to me that they're throwing everything but the kitchen sink, rushing most of this changes, just to grab the players by their tail...
Yeah my dude, the "meaning" of a full collection is being able to play any deck you want, no matter if it's tier 1 or the hottest meme you can think of. If you're in for the gameplay then you can play literally anything you want and if you're in for the collection portion then congrats, if you own every card then you're already set until next expansion and there are some achievements for collecting cards.
I wish I had. I stopped collecting all the cards at Rastakhan. The changes they made to the game made it impossible to collect every card unless you spend a lot of money. I used to pay the advanced offers like 50Eur for 70 packs, but after the change, the droprate was so abysmal and the number of new card they release each year has changed too much for my pockets.
If you are a longtime player and you have a lot of cards, you should feel like you can do so much more with them, and not just have 300 pages of cards you'd never even consider using.
In short: I see no "reward" for the faithful players that have been playing this game from start and that collected every possible card in the game (as it was suggested, in the beginning, being this game marketed as a "collectible card game")
So: what would be a way to implement in the game something to do about it? Back in the old days, having many more cards that casual and new players had, meant being able to build better decks for single player adventures or try new decks in game (this was before the wild/standard change and the now standard single player games where you are given every card and your collection is irrelevant).
I am just thinking there must be something that can be added to the game to give some meaning to our collection, the money we spent and the time we poured into it? Any ideas?
I wish they never left this expansion format: 100% cards available as a single buy. Until they were available, I always finished my collection. Now, I haven't even finished all expansions from 2020....
The "returning mechanics" is something this game badly needs since years. I never liked to see new mechanics to be added then forgotten in the arc of a single expansion, while others (like Deathrattle or Mech Tribes) to be used in every expansion since their introduction. Instead of adding new mechanics every expansion (and many poorly designed ones, like "Corrupt") they should just reuse them.
I disagree, although I see your point on it having a special button. But it's a space suited for a weekly event. The event could perhaps change now and then, but i digress.
The reason as to why I disagree has to do with the classic pack reward. Firstly it's more free packs for those that don't have the entire classic set. Secondly, even someone like me that have played the game since the start and I have spent a lot of money buying the expansions, (I've even bought 'classic' bundles), I still am missing a few cards (legendaries). Yes I have the resources to craft them, but I'm garanteed to get one of them within the next 40 packs. I'm not in a rush. I try to be as economical as possible, save as much dust and gold as I can and only spend it on what I want and need.
Just having an additional alternativ way of playing does not hurt anyone.
Sure, I (like many others), usually play the TB once and then we're done with it for that week. But every now and then there is a brawl that i find really fun to play (like the co-op one) and I play it several times.
I welcome all additional free resources wherever they come from, and all additional ways of playing the game.
It would be nice if Blizzard gave us 1 pack from Tavern Brawls and let us decide what expansion it's from
Probably a bit of an exaggeration, but it feels like there have been no new brawls in 2020 at all... The current state of TB does not warrant its existence. There is absolutely no point in just recycling old sh*t. If this is the plan, just dump this mode altogether and give a pack for starting a Duels run - they are trying to desperately promote it anyway.
I don't even see the reason to devote a special button to Tavern Brawls. They should be moved with the other alternative gameplays like Battlegrounds. Also receiving a classic pack is really a downside (I completed the classic set long before the 1st expansion)

I am totally against this card back return. It was the only thing that we beta players had over others

each patch transforms this game into something different from what I liked in 2014

That's exactly the feeling I have

if you share the account with your family, it's doable!

I just checked: 255! But I admit my brother does a lot of work for me!

400 wins and I am at 40K (played since beta. also: secret paladin was a steamroller, as you can see!)

usually a company should not punish the faitful players that play and pay for your game for year. ignoring 52 pack each year is not a smart choice
