Every minion you play with +2/+2 is like getting two free mana. So you lost 3 mana per turn but you gain 2 per minion. So you would have to play two minions a turn to get positive value. But this would require more low cost minions which means the deck would be terrible if you didn't draw it. And the more spells you include the less value it has. Bad.
Krip gave it 1 star in his review. (He joked he wanted to give it 0 stars). He makes the argument that against aggro it is just an expensive dead card in your deck which is horrible. And warlock already has combo disruptors it can use.
My understanding is that Quest Rouge has been keeping control decks at bay because they couldn't beat it in the long game. So who knows, this may slow the game down.
I love this card. And I don't think it's just for f2p players. I've been playing this game for years, doing my quests and buying preorders and I still don't have the legendaries and epics to play most of the deck recipes. I will enjoy trying them and I love the random element. It will also make the ladder more diverse when you see these decks popping up.
I think it will be easy for someone to hit legend with this early in the season during the experimentation phase when things are chaotic.

If "fresh and new" is the goal, why not also do reverse nerfs on a few weak cards that don't see play?

Ok playing against this deck was the most annoying thing I've ever experienced. I conceded after about a half hour of torture.

How do you actually win the game?

Druid decks are like Taco Bell. Take the same old ingredients and recombine them in different ways.
