I still have no clue why anyone would accept a request from a recent opponent. C'mon, people. Feeding the trolls just makes them think it's effective.

I have added people who just wanted to say GG and talk about deck ideas depending on the matchup.

I did the exact same thing the other night. Played a SUPER close game with my Druid vs. a Pally and we were both swinging life totals by 10 or so each turn through healing and damage and such. After the match (which I did end up winning) I added him because I wanted to talk about how damn close it was and compliment his deck. Never accepted the request even though I wasnt spamming emotes or anything. Made me a little sad actually. Really hate that the trolls have ruined that aspect of this game.

Haha, excellent game. That sea giant really gave zoo a taste of his own medicine.

The way you play and your explenations are great. But I'd say, luck was on your side on this game. We need a more even game to learn how to play the deck.

I agree completely, that equality draw was right on time, so I mean it was a little bit of luck to go with the deck being solid. I also feel that there needs to be a couple more videos to demonstrate the deck vs. the big decks, not just zoo. I mean handlock, druid, priest, CW, hunter, etc.

posted a message on What was your favourite class when you first started playing and has that changed?

When I first started, I loved the warlock and how it could just draw and draw and draw... but I was so new that I didn't actually know what a control deck looked like in HS, so I kinda scrapped it and then I saw priest. I thought wow, the value minions, card draw, and healing? Im in! That didnt work out however because I didnt have a ton of dust to craft everything I needed, so I put together a trap control Hunter that was... interesting... but it got me to rank 8 my first ranked season so I guess it was decent enough. I took a hiatus and now im back playing Handlock and Ramp (SR/FoN) Druid and loving them both.

*Edit* - I would like to point out that I started playing after leaving MtG (too expensive) where I had played semi-competitively for quite some time and loved mid-range and control decks.

Although Tirion is too slow, it's amazing in such lists, because it's a win condition by himself. I see Avenging Wrath being equally slow to Tirion and I'd feel Tirion would be better in most situations that you are just force to late game.

Thanks for sharing the deck and congratulations on hitting legend with something different than the typical pala.

The difference between Tirion and Avenging Wrath is that Avenging Wrath does something instant, while Tirion, the same as Dr. Boom or Sylvanas, presents a puzzle for your opponent to solve and which can be solved in various ways.

Alperon, this explanation of your reasoning is literally the most clearly and accurately portrayed explanation of what you were trying to say and I just wanted to say good on you!

Also I wanted to say that I really like the deck, I have thought for a long time that most of the paladin minions are really strong for their cost and the ones with Divine Shield make their curve close to even ramp druid (for the first couple turns anyway since they can match a turn 2 or 4 yeti or something of that nature). Im glad you have made it work and congrats on legend!

posted a message on Will we be able to trade cards one day?

Cards being tradeable is a very bad thing for blizzard. Why am I gonna buy packs when I can buy the one legendary I need? This game is already "F2P" so they "arent making money off it," making cards tradeable would be the death of any profits they see from this game xD While yes, I would love for them to do it, I dont ever see it happening.

posted a message on Druid is doing bad these days, isn't it???

I saw this earlier, read all the replies, and went back to playing my Ramp/Mid-Range "I-play-all-the-four-drops-on-turn-one" druid and can honestly say it is one of the most consistent and powerful decks I have played. I also play handlock, and my Druid is so much more fun that I have basically stopped playing handlock all together. I also wanted to note that it dumps all over basically every control deck I have run across and if you get the right hand it can shut down aggro pretty well too. That is barring some of the insane starts that some of the hyper combo aggros can get, but still. I am not going to do a shameless plug with my deck however, unless anyone is interested in it. Warning now, it is a pretty generic FoN + SR combo, but I have some tech cards and put my own little flare on it. Helps me sleep at night xD

Just wanted to put in my 2 cents that Druid is very much alive.

posted a message on Why is EVERY Single Mirror Match Up Horrendously Boring?

I just wanted to point out that having played MTG for quite some time, 30 minute games are fairly normal for me. I actually like the extra time since it lets me plan ahead for a lot of the contingencies that could be in my future. Plan out what I'm going to do 2 or 3 or 4 turns ahead, that way what you do is just waiting on your opponent to alter that plan. Coming up with a few plans of attack is a great way to make the game run smoother. Also, the mirror is only rough for certain classes. Mid-Range Innervate druid is really fun to mirror match since you get this titanic battle of value creatures being played on the early turns that just smash into each other and you just wait and see who is left standing when the dust settles XD

posted a message on Spam posts...

So I'm sure I'm not the first person to make a thread about this, however I wanted to anyway due to not seeing one on the current first page.

These spam forum posts that are popping up with the strings of numbers and indecipherable insanity seem to have come out of nowhere recently. I know that it isn't a super big deal or anything and I know this isn't new, however I really enjoy reading the forums on this site and only just recently have I seen them popping up (literally the first one I saw was last night, where I saw 2-3). I am only making this thread because I feel it is really dumb for it to be happening when I would much rather see a thread on people's thoughts or ideas about something that pertains to Hearthstone. Does anyone know why they do it? Is there anyway to prevent it from happening? I report them as soon as I see them now, but I would love if there was some form of proactive approach to keep them off the front page.

    Thanks for your thoughts!

posted a message on New Class/Deck Archetypes

So I'm sure there is already a thread out there talking about all this new stuff, but I felt I should try anyway just in case.

Everyone has seen the new cards we are getting in GvG and I for one am beyond pumped. I really wanted to touch on some stuff that I think is either important, or I think people have reacted differently than I expected about.

    Warlocks -

Playing a warlock occasionally (all aboard the handlock wagon!) I am excited as hell for demonlock. I am gonna try my damndest to make it work as best as it can. Mal'Ganis plus Floating Watcher, at least in my opinion, is gonna set off this archetype and let it run, even if it may not see competitive play.

    Shamans -

Shaman Aquarium seems like a very interesting archetype to me. Everyone is pissed off that their class legendary "sucks" and that murlocs lose if it gets to turn 7 anyway. As soon as I saw it, my first thought was "this is exactly what murlocs needed to be played outside of Warlock." Aqua-lock as well as Zoo-lock runs so well because they can constantly fill their hand with cheap minions each turn. Now someone tell me how getting a 7/7 (almost a giant) PLUS refilling your hand with minions that all synergize with each other is a bad thing? Yes, murlocs struggle past turn 5-6, but that is the point! They can't always kill in that range, and the reason they have to is they run out of steam/cards. This not only provides a large body, but also gives you MORE murlocs. It doesnt take from your deck! If you play your 2 Warleaders, you still have a chance at another one off him. Perfect for Murlocs imo. The drawing murloc also deserves mention, because I feel it is super strong as well.

    Hunters -

Right now everyone hates Hunters right? They are worse than Zoo-lock in their raw brutality and efficiency. Everyone is upset that they haven't been nerfed to the ground yet. I think with the new cards, control hunter will be a thing again, which I used to play, and I think it is a really good answer to the zerg type decks (looking at you cancer hunter and zoo-lock), hence why I ran it. The new archetype will shove the cancer hunter to the back burner, or at least I think. While no, it wont get rid of it, it will make it much harder to just bandwagon it and run it to legend.

In summary, these 3 classes are gonna be affected a lot by this expansion (obviously my opinion) and I am ecstatic at the changes.

posted a message on Next card or cards on the nerf wagon?

I would like to point out that as part of the "stop complaining and adapt crowd," I do not, nor have I ever, play(ed) Miracle or any other deck with it's draw engine as Auctioneer. That being said, my original post stands. Quit bitching and get better.

posted a message on Next card or cards on the nerf wagon?

What I can't stand (and really one of the main reasons that I left WoW) is that Blizzard caters to the whiners. People have seen that if they complain enough, Blizzard will hold your hand, nerf it to the ground, and tell you everything is going to be ok. Now I completely understand the need for recurring power checks and balances, however some things that get asked for are just ridiculous. I'm sorry, but nerf Gagdetzan Auctioneer? As if Miracle didn't take a large enough hit already. Let people complain all they want, but when I see the call for the eradication of a deck type. no matter of how I or someone else feels about it, it just makes me laugh. No one is allowed to play that deck because you think it is OP? Where was it on the competitive scene? Where is it on the big name streamers? The deck is just a gimmick, something to have fun with, why should it be killed? Ever played against Zoo? It's really fun to play against right (the answer is no, it isn't)? Should Blizz start dismantling the deck? Absolutely not. Control warrior is annoying as hell to play against, with it playing 7+ legendaries that are all really strong. Should Blizz start taking shots at that deck too? People need to stop crying and start adapting. When the Leeroy + UTH combo was big, I played hunter. I also played neither of those cards, I played secret control and it performed wonderfully against that deck. It also had decent match ups everywhere else. So when the deck got nerfed into oblivion, know what I did? Found a new deck to play. It's called change people. I am so tired of seeing people call for an entire archetype to be wiped out, it really is starting to ruin this game for me.

Curious as to a replacement for Bloodmage. I have pretty much all the other cards, and I really want to play this deck since I have been reading about the success that people are having with it.
