That is actually incorrect. Deathrattles trigger after the minion has died, so therefore the secret comes into play after the Mad Scientist is dead, meaning that while Effigy is in play, the Scientist did not die and therefore cannot trigger Effigy.
Welcome to rogue! First of all, no your deck is not s h i t, it is a relatively strong midrange rogue feel to it. Many of your card choices are also quite strong, so good job on that!!!
I threw something together that should have a similar feel, but with more consistent card choices over-all. One thing I did notice in your deck was an abundance of what we in the Hearthstone community call one-ofs, cards that you only play one copy of. In many situations, this leads to a more inconsistent deck. (there are exceptions to this) Primarily, I simply replaced your one of's and added in cards that are stronger versions of cards you had chosen.
I strongly recommend that you craft the cards in the deck. All of them are solid cards, especially for rogues (especially Azure Drakes). Feel free to hit me up on NA at Stormfrost#1765 if you have any other questions.
I also recommend trying to put together an oil rogue. The deck is completely top-tier, and requires no legendarys. Most builds of oil only use Loatheb, who is easily replaceable.
While Bloodmage certainly is the most boring of the legendaries listed, he is extremely versatile and very effective. Unfortunately, additional lighting will become necessary in most of your decks, due to a lack of candles.
I'd personally craft VanQueef, but I'm probably just biased because I love rogue.
This isn't a dragon deck, its a freeze mage, and the issue with freeze mage is that Alextrasza is very, very vital. Nowadays its fairly easy to win games with Malygos + spells, but not nearly as safe as you would be with Alezstrasza.
On the other hand, if you want to try a dragon mage with Malygos, try something that looks more like a typical dragon control mage but addin Ice Lances to be used with Malygos. Freeze mage is too narrow of an archetype for dragon cards.
You can find the decklist under my profile, but I've found that the only things you have to save for your Malygos are the Sinister Strikes. Cycling Eviscerates and Preps with Auctioneer is fine, even if you use them on the face. I also use one Assassins Blade in order to either add face damage or control the mid game, because auctioneer can't really be played until turn 7 or 8.
Yay! Looks like I'm not the only one trying to bring back miracle rogue! :D
However, I've been using Thaurissan + Malygos as my finisher, which has been super fun and relatively effective. Will give this a shot when I get home.

You cannot replace Alexstrasza, except maybe with Malygos.

Freeze mage does rather well also, if that tickles your fancy ~~~

This decklist might not be serious, but Eric's deck is very serious on nights like these.

I would definitely shy away from naturalize. Very, very dangerous card.

Hope that helped!

Damn rank 5! I didn't think the deck was consistent enough for that, but I guess I was wrong. Could I see the list you were using? That's impressive.

Also, Jaina seems interesting, because if you silence her, you get to keep the hero power. Maybe make it an effect while she's in play?

Azgalor seems really OP if he eats a Doomgaurd O.o

Isn't the 5 damage on Nordrassil Inn Attendant a little good in comparison to Keeper's 2 damage? Same mana cost, same body, 5 vs 2?

I wouldn't bother, I think yours is better I was just missing Vol'jin + Cabals.
