And that was one of the even variants I tried. Also had a Kathrena/Spellstone version with Dire Frenzy (Highmane/Devilsaur and Vicious Scalehide drawn by Witchwood Piper ), which I deleted from my decktracker so I don't have the exact list anymore.
Cards so far are looking.. decent i suppose. It is definitely not enough to tell me anything about how the game will look. But atleast the flavor is nice. I also like the villain thing and hope for good 'heroes' on the other side (Vereesa Windrunner for Hunter would be my guess).
So, yeah, I'll be 'hyped' about new cards, theorycrafting, deck brewing and getting surprised/stomped by new creative decks. Only on new releases i play alot, because it's the only time where people have to use their creativity (if they didn't copy the newest hottest theorycraft or one of the old working decks). But this phase ends way too early sadly. I'll be gone after 2-3 weeks probably and then only come back sometimes to play my favorite decks I build in the first weeks, like I do since I switched to Free to Play in WotG. Oh and I guess for the PvE experience. I hope they do a good job on it, especially because it's a paid thing.
(I also have to get lucky that the only class I play right now gets interesting cards, but that's a whole different topic)
I tried to do my own version while keeping the spirit of yours.. and I'm still not convinced it will be any good. But if it works for you and is fun (which it certainly seems to be) that's enough i guess. What it lacks most is impactful minions in my opinion, so I added some taunts and minions that do something if you actually manage to make alarm-o-bot work. Also slightly lowered curve by putting in 2 Stonehill Defender, which will (hopefully) generate big minions instead of you cluttering your deck with clunky big minions, while defending your hero portrait from mouse cursors. If and when you keep altering this deck, just keep in mind, that the minions that you try to cheat out actually need to have impact on the board. Better even if that is defensive impact (is that even a term..?) for you, like taunts/removal etc..
Doesn't really fit into the classic tempo/midrange hunter in my opinion. A classic approach to these decks would be stronger than one build around this card i think.
But a midrange/control hybrid would love to play a card like this.
I had a great/fun run with a Mage/Rogue. Tons of spell damage with 2 cheap shots, low cost rogue and mage spells, questing adventurer, Gadgetzan auctioneer.
Also played every Hunter/xxx combination. Liked Hunter/Mage the most.
Tried Warrior/Rogue once, got 2 spellstones, needless to say it's broken.
I always thought that packs (like lootboxes in Overwatch and HotS) are generated on acquisition. Which means you won't find any new cards in them.
They are not... storing that much stuff on server for no apparent reason is very inefficient...
As I said Overwatch does exactly that. When new skins were added to the “classic skin“ pool, old classic boxes did not contain any new items. I just guessed it would work the same, because both are Blizzard/Activision games I guess.
You are right though, it's a lot of unnecessary information to save, Overwatch probably just flagged old boxes to not contain new items instead of generating the box on acquisition.
Spending 80$ for a fraction of an expansion destroys any kind of reasonable pricing for pc games. [...]
I agree. More than a full price game and you don't even get the full expansion. And an expansion != full game, not even close.
The increase in prices for (all kinds of) games will only escalate further in the next years, if this goes on. And if people keep buying and buying this will never stop. It's nice that you personally can afford your hobby getting more expensive, but some others don't.
Why? the Pack prices are normaly higher than the bundle was (in my country it was 80€ for 80 Packs) - seems decent to me - and if i got the money and willing to pay that - why not ?
Just because something is cheaper than it normally is, doesnt make it a reasonable price. 80€ for a RNG based portion of an expansion. Does not sound reasonable at all.
And for the second part I'll quote myself from this post: "It's nice that you personally can afford your hobby getting more expensive, but some others don't."
Since when does Hunter want to play a card that has nothing to do with boardcontrol? If they fall behind they loose.
There is no reason for a Hunter deck to generate value (or draw cards) if it doesnt help snowballing or controlling the board. Of course if those generated cards help you regain the tempo lost or finish your opponent then this doesn't apply. See Rexxar DK or Tracking for example. But I don't feel like random Mechs will be able to help with that, as long as they don't have any useful battlecries or rush/lifesteal/whatever.
If Hunter does not get any tools to regain board control after the tempo loss of this card it will (probably) have the same impact as Infest. None.
Tbh, speculating on this card right now doesn't seem very useful as we don't know anything about the other Hunter cards and Neutral Mechs. I hope this mech thing works, because if it doesn't Hunter is stuck with a another mediocre archetype.. again.

How are Even Rogue, Odd Hunter/Druid meta though?
I run this Odd Hunter. Also a Quest variant, which is just not that good sadly.

EDIT: That's how my Kathrena/Spellstone version looked like iirc

I'm losing braincells.

I don't like this card at all. A boardclear that can be anything between a 0/10 and 10/10 depending on RNG. The RNG range is way too big.
Well, that's just typical Hearthstone i guess.
