When you die with the cards that would finish your comp frozen
Same thing, but this is less salt and more... old bay? Kinda like salt, but you want more of it? Yeah let's go with that... Anyways, when you build a really good comp, but you're like 2 cards away from an INSANE comp and then you win... it's like "ahhh I just wanted to finish that!"
This would give dragons 13 cards / supports which is right with Demos (12) and Murlocs (10) but would probably play similar to beast where you want to continually upgrade the tavern every few turns since it gradually gets better and better. I think one way or another it will be based on hand buffing which is certainly going to make Dragons skill testing with knowing when to hold em and when to fold em
It's a better Flamestrike ... but Flamestrike isn't played right now... might be more of a card that feels good when you get it off of Hagatha the Witch ... but Hagatha isn't played right now...
Any card modified by Blizzard should give players possibility of full dust refund simply because they sold them something and alter it so the sale is no longer valid (it's up to the customer to decide if he is happy with the change or not).
So yes... but using that same logic if you pay for a $60 console game & they patch it or add content or something to improve it the same thing would apply
to currently get every card for an expansion you need to open ~300 packs & that is with dusting the dupes and crafting the missing legendary cards. If we assume that it is roughly $1 / pack then you're looking at $300 for every card in an expansion. each expansion is 4 months long so that $75 / month... From a pure business standpoint that means for every "whale" there is now they would need to get 3 people to go premium.
Last year Hearthstone was estimated to bring in $1.5 billion and they hit 100 million players. That is just $15 / player... now assume that like most games, Hearthstone gets its money from just 10% of players. That now is $150 / player. You're suggesting that people would pay twice that to have all the cards. More importantly, you're suggesting that 3x as many players would pay that much for all the cards... not gonna happen... It's an interesting idea, but it's not gonna happen...
Another big reason it won't is because you get that dopamine spike when you open a pack. This eliminates that spike and makes expansions less exciting as a result. If the game is less exciting then you're more likely to quit playing as a whole sooner rather than later and then Blizzard gets no money from you which makes them sad too.
So its a 2 mana 2/3 with "taunt" in that your opponent needs to kill it, but the only cards you can play with this (currently) are Wrath and... no just Wrath
There is a card draw aspect to it as well... I feel like it is good if there were / are just more choose one spells that you want to play.
Honestly for Druid I feel like Raven Idol would be perfect, but it would definitely be too strong for the Classic set, so reprinting that, but at 2 mana would work, but they really don't seem eager to reprint cards. Nonetheless I think a choose one would be nice here for class identity. Maybe like a 2 mana 2/2 Choose One: +1 Attack or +1 Defense
For Warlock it can be a bit more powerful since it is a rare. Perhaps a discard mechanic since you do lose a bit of discard synergy with Doomguard so because of that maybe a 3 mana 4/4 discard a card would work and fit into the theme of over stated minions with a "downside"
Finally we have Paladin... I've never really been a fan of Paladin because I have no clue what their class identity actually is. I feel like an Aldor Peacekeeper twin but setting Health to 1 would maybe be neat, but with the Silver Hand Recruits that might be too strong at 3 mana. The other thing I was thinking that could fit the theme is just a 6 mana 5/5 give your silver hand recruits +1/+1, but the basic and classic set don't actually have anything that directly calls out silver hand recruits.
What do you guys think? I'm sure we will see what they actually choose to add back in at some point this year
Yeah I don't think it's even that bad for 2800 Gold though - It sounds like they're really committing some major time and resources to this. Trump said it was basically Dungeon Run + and he knows details about it that we don't.
From a purely pack standpoint it's 15 packs + a golden pack (which should maybe be worth 500 gold?) Call that 2000, so then you're paying 800 gold for the content.
From a money standpoint the packs are worth about $20 sure so there it is kind of like the content is free, but then you're also paying for it.
Idk I think it's a decent value either way and if you don't want to pay for it then that's you're prerogative. Either way people will be voting with their wallets and then Blizzard will take that information and roll with it.
As stated it's too soon, but I always love speculating... so if I had to guess... Masked Contender up to 4 mana, while it will feel weird the Paladin upgraded HP to summon a 2/2, and then I would also be open to this Lesser Emerald Spellstone reworking (not sure what it would be though)

Just looking at what dragons might end up coming into play and here is my prediction
Hero: Galakrond - HP - 1 cost: Give all Dragons in your hand +1/+1
1 Star: Twilight Whelp & Wyrmrest Agent
2 Star: Hoarding Dragon, Midnight Drake, Twilight Drake - I feel like Hoarding Dragon would be a 3, but it feels like it would be more fun at 2
3 Star: Dragon Speaker & Tasty Flyfish
4 Star: Sleepy Dragon & Chillmaw
5 Star: Dragon Breeder & Cobalt Scalebane - I feel like Scalebane would be fine at 4, but since it could buff anything 5 seems more likely
6 Star: Emeriss & Scaled Nightmare
This would give dragons 13 cards / supports which is right with Demos (12) and Murlocs (10) but would probably play similar to beast where you want to continually upgrade the tavern every few turns since it gradually gets better and better. I feel like they're setting up a big update that will include dragons?

I use 'well played' at the end of every game whether they played good, bad, or a deck that I despise

Reminds me of Sylvanas, but quicker because you could prep the spell or play that and the spell on turn 9/10

Hey Everyone,
I was thinking about what cards they might make for replacements for the Classic Hall of Fame Cards we are losing from the Classes
Naturalize
Doomguard
Divine Favor

Good with Hunter's Mark, and with how much Fire Fly is played this could be interesting as a one of in spell hunter
