I would not take the ogre because of all the late game you have already, and really its a toss up between wrath and power. I would probably take power because the minion buff can win you games.
I might sound like a dick but deck ain't too great, I'd say 6 wins if you play it very well.
I agree, a few other lacluster minions as well. The hellfire actually has antI-synergy with this deck which is going to rely on a quick start. maybe you're a really good warlock player and will know how to stretch this deck, but I would guess 5 wins.
This is a solid draft. 3 spot is a little light, but if you can stay even till you hit those 4 drops, I think you'll win. I would think 10 wins with a couple loses due to poor draw.
There's litterally whole decks built around it... That doesn't limit deck variety.
What I meant was there are very few decks that can actually include Molten Giant. And for those very few decks, people need to include things like BGH in every deck they make. I'd prefer if it was potentially good in any deck, and it didn't force everyone else to fill up card slots with things they don't want.
If te idea is to make a giant good in every deck, then every deck will still need to run BGH, so I dont see that it solves that problem. Unless youre trying to say that your ok with this, and you just want to guarantee that your BGH wont be dead? I'm having trouble following the logic here . . .
I decided to get my golden shaman portrait today and went on a 8-game winning streak at rank 3-1 with a midrange / control shaman without any weapons. After playing priest almost exclusively for the past week, it was good to summon totems again, and I think the meta has become a little better for shaman - at least it appears to me that the number of mages has decreased, which is good for the shaman class.
For an excellent shaman list, I'd recommend looking at Loyan's deck (11point5ft). I think the mech-cancer-shaman is horrible in comparison, even though it is unstoppable with the perfect starting hand it is too inconsistent for my taste.
I had been trying to fool around with a no weapon shaman earlier this week, but couldn't make it work. Im going to give this a try, but I'm surprised by the number of one off minions in this deck. Do like the argus inclusion though.
Yes, actually got legend with my own decks multiple times. How's your struggle?
Seriously, how about you just start your own thread to brag about how awesome you are instead of hijacking this one. Some of us are interested in actually talking shaman and not ourselves.
It's not just you, I've been getting crushed playing as shaman this week as well. After a short period in the sun, looks like the meta has passed by shaman once again . . .
Early in the arena run, I want to go first. This is generally when you go up against the weakest players, and they generally use the coin poorly. I've seen so many coin out two drop on turn 1, hero power to no effect on turn 2 plays that make no sense . . .
Later in the run, I prefer to have the coin for some of the reasons stated previously (helps to smooth out curve, allows tempo plays, etc.)
This deck has way too few 2 drops, so you likely get crushed in the early game without a good draw. There are also several weak cards, like rifleman, corehound, etc. I would think this deck would be closer two 5 wins . . .
Do you play the 1 mana drop? Is it good to bait out the coin in order to hero power the 1 drop? This deck also hand a decent amount of 3 drops to draw into.
I ended up not playing the Young Priestess and I got out-tempoed bad. Seems like this play could have made all the difference, but I generally don't play 1 health minions against classes that can ping in this situation.

Drafted him in my latest arena run . . . I don't even care about the wins, I just want to get him out with a full board and watch the madness.

Agree, foe reaper, because fun.
if this deck had one more flamestrike, you would wreck everyone.
even as is, you should do awesome. I wish I got to play this.

agree, sea giant! it has great synergy with paladin hero power. you don't have the early game to support lay on hands.

That draft had a great start, can you post the full deck and result?

Im sure this has been discussed before, but I searched for the thread and couldn't find it. Here is the scenario:
Arena, Turn 1, going first.
Opponent is a Mage
I have Young Priestess, Shielded Minibot, Truesilver Champion and Silver Hand Knight in my hand.
Do you play the 1 mana drop? Is it good to bait out the coin in order to hero power the 1 drop? This deck also hand a decent amount of 3 drops to draw into.
