b1ak1ce posted a message on Arena Card Reveal - 14 New Cards!Posted in: NewsMaze Guide: Random and low impact so bad
Natural Causes: Fair, but standard cant play fair cards
Bog Beast: Sludge Belcher for 1 more mana with better stats, good in 2014 not good now
Muckborne Servant: Wide variance on the Discover, but if infuse paladin is a thing, this is decently curved with a cycle effect
Batty Guest: These "DR: get a better minion" cards have been around forever, however this one very good for aggro hunter. if Face becomes place again, I can see this fitting in.
Frenzied Fangs: The Infuse time cost is a bit too steep I think, but an optimal situation where you can get 2 3/3s for 3 isn't the worst in the world. Its still not worth the space in constructed.
Forensic Duster: Its like Cult Neophyte, though I don't think its as impactful, however, if swarm paladin (or any wide archetype) becomes a thing this will be a good tech option to delay for a board clear or regain board presence.
Sketchy Stranger: Secrets arent good right now, so this isn't that good.
Sinrunner: Arena card with very little impact on play, its a winmore
Spirit Poacher: The Variance kind of sucks, and its delayed impact stinks too. None of the spawns are really that aggro friendly (outside the stag but 3 turns of waiting), I don't see it fitting in any constructed
Famished Fool: This is the infuse card that people have been waiting for, its the Gorloc Ravager for any minion-centered deck. I think it also could be good in any warlock.
Bibliomite: a 2 mana 4/4 that's drawback can be a boon when you have a situation where a high-cost card is bricking your outcast. DH has enough draw and cycle to make this drawback negligible even in situations where its not. Sure its a negative 1 card on paper, but it has a lot of decent applications for a 3.5 mana costed vanilla card for 2.
Serrated Bone Spike: Prolly the best card of this bunch, will definitely see play in any rogue tempo build.
Suspicious Alchemist: Seems every class is going to get one of these (priest got one with guessing a legendary), stat line is good for cost but I think it might be an easier guess for your opponent. -

b1ak1ce posted a message on Arena Card Reveal - 14 New Cards!Posted in: NewsThe Maze Guide argument is probably correct, you are on average going to be getting a 2/2 with high rolls for tol'vir. The only comparable standard card is Murloc Tidehunter which is 3/2 of stats for 2, so you are getting a better deal most of the time.
For Bibliomite comparison isn't comparable for 2 reasons:
1) Discard is worse than shuffle back
2) Discard was random, this is controlled.
The potential to unclog your outcast flow early makes it better than felstalker
But what do I know, Im getting a negative score on my comment for giving an unsalty take on the presented cards. I must be wrong -

YoavSig posted a message on Full Core Set Year of the Hydra - With All New Additions!Posted in: NewsPlease don't use golden cards for posts that include a mass of cards. It takes a lot longer for all of these animations to load, and it makes the page utterly inaccessible if you try to open it on mobile or if your internet connection is a little slow.

I thought dredge meant: "discover a card from the bottom of your deck and draw it." -

Rippy posted a message on Rise of Shadows Card Reveal Kickoff LivestreamPosted in: NewsThis reveal is so embarassing.. I'm seriously worried about the future of this game. I miss the old team5, this guys seems to don't understand this game that much..This expansion looks like Boomsday 2.0 and it's really underwhelming.

MalusCrabus posted a message on Miniature Warfare Returns As This Week's Brawl - But We're In The Brawliseum!Posted in: NewsI really really like this brawl, a lot of fun, very quick games and just overall silliness.
WHY is it a Brawliseum??? Seems absolutely ridiculous to demand people pay money for this kind of high-roll nonsense....

Shroomscavate
okay excuse me but how is this a Shaman card now lol. Yeah Windfury + Paladin buffs was a stupid combo but they just gave up on the fact that this card is a dual class card lol.

How silly of me to expect Hearthstone players to be able to read I guess.

According to the people here and Reddit, this is brawl is better than construct a deck brawl because its a prebuilt or random deck...
Extremely boring

"Prebuilt decks brawls are better than build a deck brawls"
I seriously doubt people enjoy playing this brawl for more than one win

“Once per game”
I can’t believe it, another “Once per game” effect. I am so proud of Blizzard for finally thinking ahead for some of these card effects

You’d have to play a 2 cost card for the mini version to work as it wasn’t in your hand when you play the 5 mana version.

It only took them 10 years to add (Once per game) battlecry effect. Harth Stonebrew battlecry pretty much confirms to me that Rogue's Shadowstep will never ever leave the core set. Leeroy is back in the standard core set so you know what that means, Rogues decks will definitely try to fit in Shadowstep x2 + Leeroy from the start of the year until either Leeory gets nerfed or the year ends and Leeroy rotates out.
Anyways, enough rant about Shadowstep. I am not really a fan of either Harth nor the gifts and I kinda wish what they do was more on the quirky side than viability.

Rogues and Priest are finally straight up stealing huh. Took like what 9 years?
Decent removal. Should find its way as a single copy in highlander decks I believe.

All this wait for her to be finally added to the game and her effect is something we’ve seen printer twice already…
Couldn’t they just made up some Rando the Elemental character for this effect instead?

I really scratch my head trying to figure out what people like about prebuilt or random deck brawls.
You win this brawl with a coin toss. You either get good cards or don't.
