There are people blinded with pride about where they come from everywhere, it is really quite silly. The world is a big place with plenty to offer. There is good and bad everywhere. We are all human beings and that is what is important. I think the best thing to do is to ignore the pride-blind, because they are very troll-like in nature, ignorant.

The statement about the release time amused me. "Hey, we're going to tell you when the expansion won't be released by, and now we're going quickly switch the topic, what is the best of the worst?" 

This is a troll thread meant specifically to ignite flaming just like every other thought-devoid thread that OP has made. Just check his post history. He then says to "lower the salt" and asks that everyone makes sure to "participate in the poll", which the silly assortment of options OP presents cannot be considered because it is severely biased and lacks the integrity of both options and option wording needed for a remotely statistically viable assessment. Due to my troll feeding rule, this will be my last input here.

What is this thread going to achieve other than complaints about certain types of players? The actions you observed have been going on for a long time, observed by others, and already discussed at great lengths.

I did the freakin preorder, because there is no efficient way to get the new packs from arena, so I wanted the headstart to make arena profitable again, as the value difference between the sets isn't soooo big anymore after opening 80 packs (have 3xxx gold atm). Still I absolutely HATE the fact that I kinda support their shitty marketing strategy.

Personally i also feel that this game is not worth the money that they are charging. The developers are doing a poor job at game balancing and customer service. It's an awesome game to play for free, but when the thought of spending money on a low rate game like this crosses my mind, i shudder.

Stopped reading here. If the game isn't worth your money, stop playing. You're a leach off of people who actually spend money to play this game, and you're entitled and shitty about it at the same time. When I read comments like this I just picture the same type of people who are able bodied, standing in line at the unemployment office collecting money from tax payers because they're too entitled to get off their asses and find a job.

If you can't afford to even spend $10 a year on this game, you shouldn't be playing. If you can afford it and don't think it's worth it, you shouldn't be playing.

"More than half the fun is building the collection - like I used to with football cards as a kid. Once the collection was actually complete the whole thing stopped being any fun at all. I truly regret the packs i bought - arena all the way from now on."

I'm just farming dust in arena atm, and filling holes in my collection. I ain't in no rush of getting all new cards, since we all know there is 4 months between old gods and next expansion, thus I'll take it slow.

The OP is exaggerating to add zest to his 'argument', so much so, in fact, I suspect he delights in tormenting his opponents with emotes. Fair enough.

Depending on the actual context and order of the actions you describe, it seems to me that a winner, acting as a good sport, should not initiate an emote, like 'well played'. period. 

Why? because 'well played' at very least sounds more like 'I win!' or 'game over', especially when directly preceding the killing blow. In fact, this is how it is used and what it really means in this Hearthstone context.

Moreover, no one losing a match likes to be 'congratulated' for losing, no matter how they played, if that 'congratulation' is unsolicited.

Why? because it comes off as condescension, not 'being sportsmanlike'. For a good sport, winning the match is enough. period. It is always a choice to be a dick and rub it in, just don't expect the 'good sport' award.

The argument that 'people can interpret the emote the way they want' is BS too, unless your opponent is a known friend. Of course they can 'self-interpret', but the point is about good sportsmanship and good manners, both of which require one to be circumspect about one's own behavior. This means one considers how someone might interpret your emote.

Consider if you don't emote. Would the loser say to himself, 'That dick!. He didn't recognize my valiant struggle.' I don't think so.

That being said we all know etiquette and manners are games in and of themselves. One can approach them earnestly or not so much.

The OP is being disingenuous expressing incredulity. Anyone with the experience and intelligence to post a 'question' like this one knows exactly whats happening in this dynamic and actually wants affirmation and 'permission' to be a jerk. Fair enough.
