The 1 mana spell wasn't the problem.

The problem was that the Gnoll was able to be cheated out early and be evolved into a small pool of 10 mana minions since there is no 11 mana minion currently in Standard. The low-rolls could be another Gnoll while the higher rolls would be a 12/12 Deathwing, 8/8 rush with windfury, and the most offending one being Thaddius who is basically mana cheat incarnate.

Besides shaman has other cheap evolve spells that do the same thing, Blazing Transmutation is just a spell that makes it a bit more consistent. They could've printed out an 11 mana giant minion which would cut down on the highrolls.

Anyway here's my salt for the day, screw you Curse Implocks who spam curses to win against anyone who managed to survive their onslaught of imps.

    Fuck this game.

I used so many board clears just for this to happen. Why does Aggro have access to lategame options?

Unholy / Frost DKs and Implocks are straight up the most infuriating Aggro decks that I've ever fought against in my life. I'm not afraid to say that I'd rather fight pre-nerfed Pirate Warrior from Mean Streets of Gadgetzan than any of the decks I've mentioned.

SERIOUSLY WHY THE FUCK DID TEAM 5 THINK IT'D BE FUN TO PRINT OUT CURSE CARDS? FUCKING ASSHOLES.

It doesn't matter if I clear their board because they can just generate more resources like The Scourge to refill their board or they have a "totally interactive" way to kill you via Curses.

I know you shouldn't hate the player but really just fuck off if you're the Implock player that put in Curses in their deck. It's such an obnoxious win condition that basically fucks over Control.

Mage might not be such an incredibly invasive problem like "I summon an 11/11 taunt that reduces half of my cards to 1 mana on turn two" Shaman, but it is so annoying to fight them.

Most Mage decks I fight against revolve around the idea of cheating out Rune of the Archmage. Mage and Rogue both focus on cheating out their BS spells, but Rogue just does things faster while having less stall options.

It's pretty hard to deal with randomly generated cards, but it becomes frustratingly difficult to deal with randomly generated cards whose mana cost has been reduced.

Also I don't think Aggro decks should last until fatigue against Control decks.

The Discover mechanic really dumbs games down to whoever can find the "Get Out of Jail Free" card the most times.

    This game is so fun.

If your evolved Thaddius BS doesn't kill me, all you have to do is play your stupid Flamebringer Astalor.

If that doesn't kill me, then just play Brann + Bolner + Parrot to kill me anyway. Feels just like playing against Druid again.

Yea it's the Warlock one. It's especially annoying when they resummon Dar'Khan which is basically a mini Ragnaros to the face with lifesteal.

Also I honestly think Mograine is a core card to a Triple Blood DK deck anyway because it's much more guaranteed than the other ones. As much as I'd like to play Rivendare, it's somehow even more slower than Mograine.

Every time I'm about to kill a Curse Implock deck, I make extra sure to emote as much as possible to make the other person feel the same feeling of annoyance I get whenever I see them play a curse card.

    It feels real good.

I'm just going to say it: Resurrect mechanics are unfun to play against no matter which class plays them.

This is especially true given how this game's "graveyard" works with duplicate minions dying.

Once again, why are these High Roll decks so consistent? It's not fun to fight against these decks.

GOTTA FUCKING LOVE THIS META FULL OF NON-GAMES.

CAN WE REVERT THE NERF ON PRINCE RENATHAL? 35 HP IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO JUSTIFY LOSING DECK CONSISTENCY.

Love how they fucking buffed Aggro DK to a point where Frost DK is now running the 6 mana 5/5 minion that basically Astalors your board.

I love Aggro games in which Aggro basically can outvalue the Control deck.

My games vs non-Aggro decks in a nutshell:

After I've exhausted all of your fucking discounted & generated BS, I still lose because of more generated BS.

BTW, this Mage should've died ages ago but she got lucky with summoning a Blightblood Berserker from a Conjurer's Calling that she got from Tear Reality that was casted from a Rune of the Archmage which was reduced to 5 thanks to a coined-out Balinda Stonehearth. I've never been so outskilled in my life.

Whoever designed Rune of the Archmage, I hope you stub your toe on the door. There is nothing fun about getting hit with 20 mana worth of spells, especially if they only target enemies, WHERE'S THE COST/RISK IN PLAYING THE CARD?

posted a message on Why are so many people playing Blood DK?

I think it's because Blood DK can actually deal with a Turn 2 Deathwing/Thaddius with either Obliterate or Asphyxiate. This means that they have a good chance of winning against the highroll Evolve Shaman decks which can end games really early or just continue making huge threats later in the game.

The other reason is that some folks like to play Control so that they can play some cool cards like Rivendare, Warrider or Lor'themar Theron

Those are some reasons that I can think of that would explain why people like playing Blood DK (myself included).

This is the 3rd time in a row that I posted in this thread. I have to take a break from this game, I'm halfway through to getting the golden Death Knight portrait and I'm livid at the card designers for creating such a high-roll meta because it's an actual pain to have fun in a game in which you can die on Turn 2. I'm going to release all of my anger in this rant and take at least a week off from this game designed by Hearthstone "players" whom I assume don't even play their own game to test cards.

Implocks: This deck is already good enough from spawning so many imp tokens as well as buffing those imps to be massive in the early game. It can refill its board efficiently as well as having insanely good card draw to keep the pressure going. HOW IN HELL IS IT ABLE TO LAST UNTIL FATIGUE? Why did they give Warlock curses? There is barely any interaction for this mechanic besides the player having to hold as much cards as possible and getting milled in the process. Warlocks can easily spam the stupid curse cards so that the player is practically taking fatigue damage. Now, they are able to contend with Control decks even if their swarm of respawning imps don't manage to kill them.

Evolve Shaman: You can spawn an 11/11 Taunt that lets you cheat out other cards if left alive as early as Turn 2. Even if you "low-roll", you get an 8/8 minion early on the board and you can create more threats later in the game. The pool of late-game minions is small that practically any result is good enough. The supposed drawback of evolving minions is that you'll get random crap that could be worse than what you've got on board. I'm dumbfounded that you made Evolve Shaman so consistent in Standard. I'm not even talking about the new evolve card since they can just play the location as well and get a decent result. HIGH ROLLS SHOULD NOT BE CONSISTENT AND BE DONE SO EARLY. Even Big Priest had to wait for a few turns and they could whiff too on their shit.

I would talk about the other classes but a lot of the issues come from Mana Cheat and the LACK OF RISK from playing certain cards. This may sound blasphemous but very powerful cards should have a steep cost to playing them. I don't know why Rune of the Archmage was printed, it's a BS card. You should be punished for playing a card that cheats out 20 mana worth of MAGE SPELLS. There should be a risk to playing a card like that such as getting Pyroblast'd in your own face.

Random stuff can be fun and good, but when you make it consistently rewarding for players, it takes away the magic. I am not impressed by your ability to summon Thaddius, Monstrosity on Turn 2 because there was no special risk in it. You were practically guaranteed a good outcome whether RNG wanted you to have him or a Raid Boss Onyxia.

Do I blame the players? No, not necessarily since they were dealt those cards. I'm more upset at Team 5 for designing this meta. Sure, you guys initially didn't expect Evolve Shaman to be so effective. Yes, you guys probably could not have seen how Implocks would have incorporated Curses to contend with Control decks.

HOWEVER, why did you guys not adjust the Mini-Set cards? You had nearly two months to look at the meta and even play it for yourself to rethink about the upcoming cards. Why did you think that Implock would need more support by giving them Nofin's Imp-ossible to give them a sticky board? Why did you print Thaddius that heavily cheats out mana, what made you think that we wanted more mana cheating? I know you guys are capable of readjusting these cards since you guys nerfed Shockspitter almost immediately at the start of the March of the Lich King expansion. Even now you guys just banned Test Subject because players pointed out how it could be abused in Wild.

I hope balancing is faster than last time for all of our mental sakes. Have a nice month, y'all.

I'M DONE PLAYING CONTROL BLOOD DK.

LITERALLY FUCK YOU DRUIDS. I DON'T CARE IF THEY AREN'T GOOD. THEY ARE SUCH A PAIN IN THE ASS TO FIGHT AGAINST IF YOU DON'T PLAY AN AGGRESSIVE DECK.

JUST FOUGHT AN OBNOXIOUS MILL DRUID WHO JUST PLAYED THE WATCHTOWER AND ALL OF THE DEW PROCESSES HE COULD WHILE HAVING PLAYED GUFF. FML.

posted a message on Shaman needs nerfed yesterday

I honestly wish that every time a card is revealed in some expansion, they would tell us their thought process.

I genuinely am curious as to how they thought this Mini-Set would be fine. Like why would you make evolves even more consistent now? They already have efficient mass evolves through Convincing Disguise or Primordial Wave. Who honestly thought that printing Blazing Transmutation and Thaddius, Monstrosity at the same time would be an awesome idea? Especially since Shamans can cheat out a Goldshire Gnoll as early as Turn 2 thanks to Schooling.

    I hate this game.

Whenever I play Blood DK, I get steam-rolled by Implocks.

So I try to play Frost DK to try to kill them before they kill me. I fight against Evolve Shaman.

Look at this, he summoned a 12/12 Deathwing on TURN TWO.

IT'S TURN FOUR AND I'M ALREADY NEAR DEATH AGAINST A "NON-AGGRO" DECK, EVOLVE SHOULD NOT BE THIS CONSISTENT. Just add a shitty 11 mana giant minion, it's still good but not exactly game-ending. An 8/8 is still relatively killable in the early turns compared to a 12/12 or a 11/11 taunt that lets you cheat out more BS.

I mean this with all of my heart, Team 5. THINK AND TEST STUFF BEFORE YOU RELEASE THEM. I know mana cheating allows for fun games but it also makes it hard to play around it because some of us actually want to win without dying to random BS consistently.

    Fuck Shaman. Actually no.

FUCK ALL THE MANA CHEATING. EVOLVE, SPELLS, DEATHRATTLES. JUST ALL OF IT.

Thanks Team 5, remember how we complained about having to fight early 10/10s on Turn 3?

Well thanks for giving Shaman even more consistency in evolving the stupid gnoll into an annoying threat.

    PLAYTEST THE FUCKING CARDS.

It's stupid how I practically concede as soon as the Shaman plays the dumb piranha card on turn 1 and I don't have a cheap hard removal in my hand.
