Just to name a few decks that have beaten my control warrior within the past morning (I mean, it's afternoon right now but earlier today this is what I faced):

Tess Rogue, Zuzu Hunter, Murloc Paladin

Tess Rogue is garbage.  And I can't think of another deck that is more capable of fending off Murloc Paladin than CW.  Seriously, your whole deck is removal, you have like 7 AOE's.  It's not exactly Rocket Science.

 Tess rogue isn't garbage when piloted by players who know how to set her up. I think you're dismissing it really quick. I wouldn't say it's Top tier, but I also wouldn't say it's garbage. 

Murloc paladin can spiral out of control pretty quickly if I don't have my warpaths or brawl early on.

Just for laughs, tell me how Tess Rogue deals with Murloc Paladin.  Because "the game can spiral out of control pretty quickly if Rogue doesn't have it's AOE's", and Rogue doesn't have ANY AOE's.

I thought the same but guess who got equality and consec out of his rng drops and guess who ran 2 copies of Fan of Knives....there you have your laughs.

Vs control warrior I always go all in, just push out all threats hoping they don't already have the answer in hand. I even dropped an inner rage Grommash on turn 8 and luckily some of them weren't able to clear it.

Of course that's uncommon but it happened to me sometimes.

Nice bundle but:

1. I'm not a wild player

2. I don't need to have all cards in my collection

3. My pity timer would eat me alive

4. My wife would then beat the hell out of me for spending money on this

I hope they will rethink the format, it hurts to watch this for some reason.

I have to admit from a business perspective Blizzard is playing it absolutely brilliant.

Selling online tickets for an event where they promote the stuff they later sell. 

Agreed. This was one of the driest tournaments I've watched. I was once excited for a specialist format. Now I prefer the old way with multiple decks and the ability to ban one of them. This tournament reminds me of why I got bored with MtG. back in the day. All the mirrors.

We did, and as I mentioned before I personally informed Flux of our plans for Hearthpwn (I offered for him to join us but he declined, as Out of Cards already existed).

We've had to demote mods due to abuse of power happening, from certain people upset by the change of ownership. I'll repeat it just to make it crystal clear: If anyone feels wronged by these events, reach out to me (DM or Twitter). We're here to make friends. But abusing mod privileges to vandalize the site is not acceptable, so as a measure of security during the transition, we demoted all mods and are reinstating those who wish to stay on HearthPwn.

Their ultimate goal is for every class to have fun archetypes to play that you can be excited about and feel good about playing.

Are these archetypes meant to be just "fun", or are they also supposed to win at least one in ten games? And are they supposed to feel unique?

I mean, we do have archetypes for every class, sort of. Like Spiteful Druid, and Spiteful Priest, and Spiteful Mage and Spiteful Warrior. And some classes even have more than one type, like Even Paladin, and Odd Paladin, and Murloc Paladin, and Aggro Paladin. But I guess people are having different opinions about how good they feel about playing them, and more importantly playing against them. And I think "excited" is the wrong word to describe the experience playing the game right now.

All jokes aside, Peter is a nice guy, and I don't want to be cynical here. I'm just curious if that "ultimate goal" is something in the far distant future, or if we are supposed to be halfway there already. My guess is the far distant future, and I'd be a bit worried if the devs think we are halfway there.
