Is anyone else repeatedly looking over their expansion and thinking that they should've done something different, or is it just me?

I think I should have had Broeck1's idea xD
I don't know if I will advance to the finals, but I am proud of my set :)

@Mods: could this poll please be advertised on the front page?

All entries are so well done and you can see every single contender has put a huge effort in making this a great competition. It would really be a shame if the finalists are decided on having 5 or 6 votes (given by other contenders..). Not really speaking for myself, but for the rest; they deserve views and votes.

Great idea. I kinda of voted on everyone xD

Oh My... Sorry for my absence lately. The first week at university was crazy, a shitload of pranks xD
I apologize for not giving further feedback to the lovely people that helped me early on. If I advance to Phase V (which I really hope to do, as I really want that sweet thing around my avatar xD)  I will make an effort to be more helpful. Wishing everyone luck, there are so many great expansions that the voting was a really though decision

    Lore:

The Critters Carnival is an awesome event in which the greatest heroes of Azeroth can see the most exquisite creatures from all around the world! Spoopett, Carnival Master loves all types of creatures and wants everyone to see how incredible they are, that's why lots of Exhibits are organized during the Carnival. The most wonderful Beasts, Dragons and Murlocs are displayed on the Carnival, but they aren't the only ones being shown. Amazing Totem carving can be seen, and Goblins & Gnomes like to compete to see who can build the best Mechs. Of course, things don't usually calm down for the heroes of Azeroth. Some unexpected ruffians have found a way to get into the Carnival...

    THE KEYWORD:

So, how does this mechanic work? Well, X is replaced with something, such as "Murloc" or "Secret". Let's suppose I play a Dragon with Dragon Exhibit, if I control no other dragon, the ability will activate. Unlike BattlecryExhibit triggers after the minion is played, so they can affect themselves. When you are holding an Exhibit card, it will have the Yellow Glow if the Exhibit can trigger.

    THE CARDS:

    • Night Watcher is a creature of the night, the perfect early game tool to make your Hero Power more pro-active.

    • Shadowfang Drake is ready to serve its Shadow Priest master, being a powerful tool to deal with small prey.

    • Elder Demonologist is an expert on the demonic arts, being able to call Demons from the depths of your deck.

    • Tainted Claws is the healing tool Warlocks were craving for. It infuses their Demons with powerful vampiric abilities!

    • Drakoning Peacekeeper is a servant of the Holy Light, eager to protect its Dragon fellows.

    • Lightlord's Apprentice is strong early game card, but it still needs to learn how to properly use its healing powers.

    Q & A:

    • Q: If I were to play Uncaged Felhound on turn 4. How many Mana Crystal will I have at the start of turn 5?
    • A: While it is on the board, you won't start a turn with more than 4 Mana Crystals. You also can't use The Coin to get Mana Crystals, as its effect would trigger and it would get +1 Attack. Only after it dies would you be able to get new Mana Crystals.

    • Q: What happens if my Hero Power is Mind Spike and I play Night Watcher?
      A:
Since you were already in Shadowform, nothing would happen.

    • Q: Isn't the Exhibit mechanic a bit anti-synergetic?
      A:
Yes! I want to see more decks mixing different types of minions than decks that choose one type to build around. Yet, some cards with Exhibit would still see play in decks with cards of the same type just because of how powerful they are. A card such as Southsea Spearman works better in decks without weapons, but it is also a Pirate, and many other Pirates benefit of weapons, so you might consider running it in a Pirate deck that runs weapons, as the other Pirates benefit of it.

    • Q: What types of Exhibit can be done?
A: Beast, Demon, Dragon, Elemental, Mech, Murloc, Pirate, Secret, Totem, Quest and Weapon.

    • Q: How does Blazetail Mouse's Deathrattle work?
A: Basically the enemy is in control of wheter this ability triggers or not. If I play an Elemental and then the enemy destroys Blazetail Mouse in the following turn, then the Blazetail Mouse can be revived.

    • Q:  How many cards can have their cost reduced by Spoopett, Carnival Master?
A: Up to three cards, a 2-Mana reduction to each minion type.

    • Q: How can I visualize Holyscale Drake effect?
A: Glad you've asked! It works as Jadescale Drake and Stormborn Titan. Check the image below!

Alpha concept for Hunter Legendary 3

The minion will be a hydra (to fit with the Greek mythology theme). Names will be thought of later. In terms of statline, I don't know. My first thought was 8 mana 6/5. It is comparable to King Mosh which is a 9 mana 9/7, granted that will kill your own stuff too, whereas this will probably only kill one (MAYBE two) of your own minions tops, if any.

I think it is more comparable to Deathwing than to King Mosh, as the former needs no set up while the latter needs some Whirlwind effect. Deathwing seems little play due to its huge drawback while King Mosh is goddamn slow. I would try to balance it in two ways.
    1. Drawback - A mostly one-sided board clear needs a huge drawback. The closest thing I can think to compare your card with is Dragonfire Potion, so we can assume the battlecry is worth at least 6 mana. One easy "drawback" is make it poorly stated. A 10-Mana 3/3 or so. Or maybe it discards some of your cards, that's not Warlock exclusive, Tracking is a basic card :p
    2. Set Up - Yeah, cuz Hunters and their sick card draw is great for set up stuff. I can only think of a fitting Hunter requirement if it is something like "If you control a Beast", but maybe you can think of something cooler, and harder, as having a beast all the time is the staple in Hunter.

Side Note: Do you guys think my set is good already or do you still think it needs some more balancing? Comment #198

I'm still not exactly sure on which classes to pick, but I think I'm going for the same structure as before. I'm going to choose one class from each category.

    • Class set that heavily and clearly supports a certain archetype with a major and minor theme: Warlock, Druid, Hunter
    • A group of cards that support a hybrid archetype with two themes that equally focused on: Paladin, Warrior, Mage
    • A bag of miscellaneous goodies with 3 or more themes: Priest, Shaman, Rogue

My plan is to have one set with at least one Elemental class per phase (Paladin, Shaman, Mage).

How does Druid, Warrior, and Shaman sound? Here are their themes:

    Druid

    • Major Theme: Stabilize
    • Minor Theme: Battlecry/Deathrattle synergy (works really well with Stabilize!)

    Warrior

    • Enrage/Damaged synergy
    • Armor synergy (We only have Shield Slam!)

    Shaman

    • Central theme: Opposite positioning
    • Removing Overload
    • Elementals
    • Totems
The only one I am ot fond of the "Central theme: Opposite positioning". As I said before, I think it adds more complexity than Hearthstone seems to go for.

Okay, so I've been throwing together my mage class xD it's kinda messy right now but here's where I'm at.

Oh, and my warlock and priest stuff is above, at post #165.

    • Mysterious Tome - "Discover a Secret. Secret Exhibit: Put it into the battlefield". Oh, wait... Jokes aside, nice card. Perhaps too good tho. If you place the secret it's crazy good. I would up the cost to 3.
    • Winter Wanderer - Seems OK, but I not fond of the "opposite" mechanic myself. I think it adds a complexity Hearthstone isn't going for.
    • Crazed Archmage - There's enough Secret support T-T
    • Wicked Witch - The first iteration of my Spectral Defender had a similar effect. But you really nailed the wording! I would just change the card name. I think Wicked Witchcraft would be a more secret like name.
    • Naga Seductress - Now that seems to be a healthy card to support secrets. How would it interact with Explosive Trap?
    • Chilling Gaze - HOLY... That's a powerful Hero Power! But you don't profit for playing it a second time, so it probably wouldn't be a double of in the deck, which means it won't be drawn so early most of the times. I think it is OK, but isn't an easy call.
    • Naga Queen Azshara - Yay... secrets :/ It seems balanced because it's super slow. But... yay... secrets D:

Cogito and I are giving you divergent feedback, Livienna? xD
The idea of making Greater Wind Spirit into a 3/4 is quite decent.
But regarding the Saddistic Succubus I still think it could cost 6 mana. A 6-Mana 9/9 isn't really that impactful (Constructed wise, I think that would be a REALLY good arena card) and Warlock needs a nudge right now.

Been pretty busy, but got a couple of cards to show off. I'll be submitting Druid, Warlock, and Warrior classes this round. As always, feedback and balance concerns are appreciated! I'll try to be more active in feedback this weekend.

    Druid (6/7)
So in my last submission, I said that Hunters are setting traps to fight against the monsters that lurk in the darkness. Druids are a class that represents these monsters. Beast synergy with some ramp and token focus.

Warlock (7/7 but I want to rework Terrorize)
Of course, Warlocks are always the antagonists. Demons such as Varimathras are always scheming, looking to take advantage of the holiday. Synergies are all over the place, with cards to support zoo, discard, and hand/control.

    Warrior (5/7)
Like Hunters, Warriors are on the defense, protecting the villages from the Horseman and the beasts of the night. But they aren't all Taunt and Control cards, cause those are boring. More enrage synergy! Tempo and midrange Warrior is coming back!

    • Rabid Brute - Nice early game card for Druid. But I don't think the art really shows a beast, I don't think beast-like humanoids are considered Beasts. I am no lore expert, but Houndmaster and even Shaky Zipgunner ain't a Beast for example.
    • Alpha Prime - Seems really weak. 5-Mana 1/6 with an effect that only get better if you buff it? Too weak IMO. I would buff to have at least 3 attack.
    • Terrorize - I would make it cost 3. If it doesn't kill and enemy minion it's a really pricy SWP.
    • Dreadlord Insurgent - I think it's too pricy at the moment. 7-Mana 4/4 is really weak, a card with such a huge stat drop must have an insage effect. This one is good, but not even close to being insane.
    • Varimathras - HELL YES!

The cards I said nothing I like as they are.

    @Livienna and @Snorlax

I'm just about to review your cards, but tell me if there's anything important I should know e.g. a noteworthy interaction between one of your Neutral cards and your class cards.

Also, SnorlaxBR, didn't I already review your entire 3 sets on post #122? My opinions haven't changed much. What change should I pay attention to?

EDIT: Hold that thought, something came up. I promise I will review you guys' cards later. I should probably make my own cards though because you guys are almost finished, and I haven't even decided on which classes I'm gonna choose XD.

Calm Cogito, there's no rush. I just changed/balanced a couple cards. If you're in a hurry. Work on your cards first ^^
No crazy interactions within my Neutrals, but some cards that would go well together in the same deck: Neutral Set (Actually my Phase III post)
