Phithis posted a message on New Hunter Legendary - Professor PutricidePosted in: Card DiscussionSo 6 mana and 2 cards at the very least for a 2 mana random secret? Kinda meh, but the card itself has decent stats even without a secret in case of emergencies. Could fit into mid-range secret hunter or maybe even control hunter with secrets, if either of them are ever a thing. Not too bad, but not too good either.
Weird that Professor Putricide is a hunter card tho.
Very weird. Since when are mad scientists hunters? "For my next experiment, moose hunting!" -

DropDeadCynical posted a message on Hearthstone Live Tournament NewbiePosted in: TournamentsCheers for the replies. I wasn't really looking for tips on decks or play (I have no real expectation of doing well, I really just want to do it for the experience). I was more looking for just general things about playing live that I might not have considered. But I guess Zamper is right that every venue/tournament is a little bit different so I might be better of just getting there early and asking around.
What kind of entry fee do these things usually have? I don't really mind if there is reasonable one, but if it's over £50 I will probably pass and just play the side events instead.

Brawl, Abomination, Lorewalker Cho, Mana Wraith. I wonder how it would make the board state if you Mana Wraith + Molten Reflection and Counterspell
It would be slow to set up, but interesting to try! I'd like to see more anti-battlecry cards too. Generally they're way better than deathrattles. -

Thervandrus posted a message on Turtle Dragon PriestPosted in: Turtle Dragon PriestI see. I just got Hemet from my last pack and I kinda have this mixed feelings about running him, because while he thins your deck so you could have smoother card draw, well... he thins your deck. So unless I have an almost sureway to win the game after I play Hemet, I would have to consider running another card for my deck.
A question for Tortollan Primalist, when he (it?) discovers a spell, does he always cast it to multiple targets? Because the wording says "on multiple targets" and I also like this little turtle but if I'm gonna craft him I need to know how good he is...
And finally this is more of a suggestion than a question, because I'm not seeing any clear win condition here besides Ysera and Mind Control. Even Deathwing seems like a gamble, because you'd lose your hand and people can still take him down. I think you need a more concrete plan to make it work, don't you think?

First. They gave us free dust.
Then. They gave us free cards.
Then! They gave us free card packs. Not pack. Packs.
And to boot... a one time... here's a legendary and card packs for a small amount of money.
Blizzard (especially the designers, programmers, and game testers... lets not mention the artists, sound techs, networkers, and so on) people play the game too. They want to make the game fun and exciting and give us stuff for free.... you know... stuff you dont pay for...
And they get shit for things that are probably not in their control. It's random for a reason.
My point?
Eat pizza, drink some iced cold Mt. Dew... and grab a chair in the tavern.... and play some games....

I see people mentioning Wild Packs. That's not a bad suggestion whatsoever. While I don't know about making the Wild Packs cheaper as it would require significant amounts of programming / coding to facilitate that kind of change to the current Hearthstone application I could definitely see Blizzard being happy because of the extra income and players being happy because of the additional shop options by doing the following:
Wild Pack / contains 8 cards. (or even keep it at 5) Guaranteed Epic or Higher.
1 pack 200 gold
2 packs $4.99
7 packs $11.99
15 packs $21.99
38 packs $49.99
58 packs $69.99
Basically for maths I just applied an additional amount. I'm no mathematician or Ian Malcolm for that matter. :) Just saying... I'd totally buy

It's funny how you're complaining about shaman considering how lackluster they were for the first few years of Hearthstone, but nothing is said about Hunters or even SMORC Warriors. Seems a bit biased. No offense meant.
I also agree with another post on here where they said that aggro is needed as it balances out card games.
There are generally 4 archetypes when it comes to kinds of decks people play.
Aggro, Midrange, Control, and Combo. It's the Circle of Life.

In my personal opinion; I can't say you're off your rocker. I think the art direction as a whole for Blizzard has always been created to cater to an audience in the best way possible as a whole.
Now with that said..
It would be interesting to have a feature added that would add neat little artistic features to the client side. I personally feel it would just make the experience more personal. I like the idea you present.
On the flip side...
The rating for the game would have to go up even if it was client based.
I agree with you...
This same suggestion was made in the April Fool's Day Patch Notes and not a single person complained about it. We probably all laughed about it. I beg to differ how your post is anything but just a person trying to be creative. I give you kudos.
I disagree with you...
I think even small additions to the game board, such as blood, could cause the system to require a higher based computer setup. (More like a what if, but you catch my drift.)
Overall...
It's a great idea. I love concepts that allow you to go outside the box, to be different / unique, and heavy customization.
I don't see Blizzard doing this.... but it would be pretty sweet to see if they did.

Haha! Definitely noticed the Control part. RIP Death's Bite for sure!

That's a really tough decision to make. Personally, and as another person said, they'll still be in my collection and I most likely will stick to playing Wild format until I feel comfortable going into Standard. With that said; these are the cards I'll miss (regarding the coming format.)
Sludge BelcherProbably one of the more annoying cards to deal with. He has saved me against many Face Hunters (cause they didn't have Ironbeak Owl. RIP buddy.
Antique Healbot One of the best neutral heals. Hands down a top favorite. He will be missed terribly.
Dr. Boom. I probably am not going to miss him, but those amazing little Boom Bots that NEVER hit for 4 damage unless it was against me.

Elise has caused some slight issues with the deck. (Not playing her, but having someone play her.) I tend to try to burn their cards if they do play her.
To be honest with you... if you feel Elise would give you a bit more extra "omph" to get the job done... by all means man, use her. The reason for Holy Fire is simply for the additional heal and to take out a chunky minion. I like the way you're thinking though. "Outside of the box" and that's what this deck was meant to be. :)
Best of luck to you.

This seems like a pretty awesome card! This with Shadowflame for a potential (coined) 8 turn board clear of 4 damage (of course Spell Damage makes that higher). For other classes and as one of the guys mentioned above; the potential is there!
The more they reveal WOG the more I just want to play it already.
