posted a message on Boomsday is actually really cleverly made

Yeah the design for this set is definitely super interesting so far, and the fact that the class spell and minion don't synergize only reinforces that.

Lots of support for both old and new archetypes and we've only seen half(little less than half actually) of the total cards.

Very excited to see what decks emerge and how boomsday shakes up the meta.

i remeber when everyone was gonna craft a golden The Darknesson launch day, imo crafting golden legendaries is the dumbest thing ESPECIALLY on launch day with no idea of the future meta

I only craft gold legendaries(and cards in general) that I like the design of and will play in friendlies and wild regardless of if they slot into tier 1 or tier 2 decks. Anyone who is crafting gold legendaries expecting them to be staples without waiting to see how the meta shapes up after a week or two is just being reckless.
Also jesus, the darkness? I never saw any of those people saying that at K&C launch, but I pulled a gold darkness from the free daily pack during this recent event and that thing is dust as soon as witchwood launches. It's just a boring pile of stats as far as I'm concerned. The only interesting effect it has is the ability to shut down highlander synergies in wild for a few turns by adding dupes to their deck, but I still just don't like the card.

Definitely going to gold craft that hunter card that gives a minion +3+3 and shuffles copies since the copies will also be golden.

Gotta try some kind of janky stonetusk boar or angry chicken deck with it haha.

Tess Greymane is also on my list for a gold craft even if it's just for wild burgle memes. :)

Idk, hand druid looked interesting enough to me. Then again I'm biased because mountain giant has always been one of my favorite classic cards and I like decks that aim to have a pretty large hand size and options for plays each turn(old hand lock and current ctrl lock for example).

I'm mostly happy about the almost strictly better shield block they gave druid and witching hour which works really nice with that new 12 hp taunt and can even bring back the big spooder in my Hadronox taunt deck with some luck.

I do agree that most of the druid cards seem to be pretty low in terms of power, but I still think rogue got shafted harder. Tess\burgle rogue will be fun in wild where like 60% of your deck can be made up of thief cards, but in standard there's no way that deck is anything other than tier 4-5 memes. I'll still play it nonetheless. :)

It's more than that really, they are at least experimenting with new possibles archtypes when they designed cards for other classes. Hand druid, divine shield pally, minion based mage, freeze / totem shammy, mid-range warrior, etc. They just keep pushing rogue into miracle / burgle decks over and over.

Well they tried to do deathrattle synergy for a while but a lot of people complained about blizzard "dumbing down" rogue by giving them a generic midrange archetype or something to that effect.

Quest/bounce rogue was also another archetype they had until it was gutted. Sonya helped that deck out a little, but it's still nowhere near competitive imo, and certainly can't compete with the likes of aggro pally, cube lock, or secret mage.
At least this expansion gave us a weapon buff for kingsbane, but since it's tacked to an understatted minion, requires a combo, and naga corsair+southsea squidface are both cycling with coldlight oracle being hall of famed, I think it's safe to assume that kingsbane rogue is dead on arrival.
Really doesn't look good for rogue tbh. I've got much higher hopes for druid personally.

As people have said they told us she'd be the new hero a bit ago, but yeah I did enjoy hearing her emotes on the stream today(until day9 squelched her anyways:P)

Definitely a lot better than Smug-furion that's for sure haha.

Yeah this is definitely insanely good for Deathstalker Rexxar.

Any beast with rush, charge, or an effect that deals damage stitched together this little 1 mana 2/1 with lifesteal is going to be a pretty solid card and will help you stabilize in the mid/lategame.

A neutral card with ok status for the cost have this ability without condition.

A fucking class rogue card with ok status for the cost have condition.

Why Blizzard hates rogue so badly? WHY???

     1. Naga Corsair costs 4 this costs 3
    2. Naga Corsair gives up on 1 stat point for the effect
3.Naga Corsair is a card from the LAST expansion of the year that means his time in standard is the least from any other cards so their power level is higher than the power level of a first expansion of the year card.
    4.Naga Corsair is rotating out.
    5. Rogue always find a playable deck, the class was never actually out entirely of the meta.
The reason for bad expansion rogue cards is the power of classic/basic set rogue cards.
tempo rogue 2 months ago? mostly neutral cards from KFT, kobolds and classic set cards.

Uhhh #2 is wrong. 5/4 and 4/5 are premium statlines for 4 drops, and Naga Corsair just has an extra effect tacked on which is typically only the case for class cards which get an extra stat point over neutrals.
No clue why blizzard decided rogue should get an understatted 3 drop that also requires you to combo for the same effect, especially when the best current rogue decks are tier 3-4 and few if any of their new cards look competitive.
Oh well. At least Tess burgle clown fiesta rogue will be fun in wild.
