Priest players did this to themselves. All your stupid douchebag control pushed the meta to hyper aggro. I don't like playing dumb fast aggro, but was left with no choice because of you turds.

I agree with the hyper agro statement. However, I played pure control warrior to legend last season riding hunter, rogue and paladin. So there IS a choice.

I'm 10-0 so far day one with the same deck.

Maybe if you've been top 1000 it could should your personal best ever.

As pointed out if you hit legend on an expansion there's a chance your 35000+

But if your top finish was 45 legend in a season if be happy to display that.

My personal highest finish is 16 when I grinded alot. I'd actually use the legend card back if it displayed that.

Cool interaction but meme at best.

You may get all the spells but they got to play them for free +any minions summoned created for the tempo.

I still see this as auto lose button, so ahh meme concede?

posted a message on The D5-Legend grind

At OP the meta is in a very poor state ATM. While DH received nerfs balance isn't really a thing.

Hi roll druids, RNG mages and priests and then face hunter, rogue and arguably pali - looking at you first day of school.

If all you facing are hunters play the counter. I went control bomber warrior in the end and Teched in 2 owls.  Had above 90% we against rogues and hunters, the owls kept paladin in check l, and the bombs steam rolled mages. Priest was by and far the worst match when RNG hit me like a truck, but there are really few priests I personally ran into.

Easily hit legend after making the change.

That said the meta right now is a salt one, it doesn't feel good losing to stupid or like wise winning because of stupid. And the amount it happens is higher than its ever been. T5 is definitely catering to the lowest form to maintain player base at this point. Which is bad for the game.

Everything has a counter and in the current meta libram paladin says hello and would love more priest matchups.

It's hard to judge this card ina bubble, because its power level spikes in combos, combos require multiple cards, mana management, setups... pre turn planning and can be countered.

Example the best way to counter a t5 steal is build a board to lower the odds of the giant getting stolen. If you drop an 8/8 on an empty board turn 5 into a priest, well I'm sorry to say that's just bad play and you asked for it. The following combo isn't OP, you just failed, even when you knew the potential outcome.

Also, this card does little to nothing against agro decks. It's just a dead card in the priests hand, even with no combo it just delays by a turn and doesn't prevent buffs or deathrattles. So the frost nova comparison is poor at best.

It's just a different card and I think the mana cost is fine since it's situational at best and is easily countered or baited out by good players. Out of all the things some could complain about priest, this card is not an offender.

Thank you for your thoughts Scorpyon. I am suggesting that the ranking sytem would be updated daily (potentially even more often, hourly, why not the data is available and this is a digital card game). So yeah people may net deck but when that deck does become popular then players will be forced to change the deck they are playing shifting the meta this is what I would like to see rather than week 2 of an exspansion and playing the same super refined stealth rogue deck over and over.

Meh even if people net deck, it still creates a meta shift.

This is definitely one of the better and more refreshing ideas.

It's essentially a seasonal highlander effect. More power for sacrificing power.

posted a message on Why can't Blizzard just add a new gamemode to keep us occupied?

Wasn't battlegrounds exactly what the OP is asking for?

I'd prefer a better maintained ladder making it more playable and enjoyable than adding more game modes that suffer long turn. I present arena as my argument, a dead mode.

Blizz caters to the lowest common denominator and has a wonderful habit of stripping it's games of quality to benefit the bottom line. Especially in the last few years this behavior has increased dramatically.

Ysera unleashed  was a stupid stupid card...I bought it up recently in a post on here in refernce to auto-pilot decks.

I appreciate that Blizzard likes to help those who might not otherwise stand a chance against skilled opponents a genuine chance of winning, but cards like this go too far. There is just zero skill and zero nuance to the card, it does the same thing every time you slam it down, its powerful and fucking boring at the same time - it acts very much like a late game jade druid package, providing 2, maybe even 3 boards full of minions that absolutely must be answered immediately or its game over. Yeah....no more of this shit please.

But you realize it wasn't nerfed at all? They merely removed Nozdormu from the pool and only because due to long animations of the portals it could have skipped your turn. Other than that it remains the same and is arguably stronger.

I've actually lost count of how many times this outcome happened to me... When the first portal creates Noz and I miss lethal because of losing my turn.

The number of times this outcome come should be plausible is zero. I'm losing interest in playing because of things like this. Where RNG and autopilot has become to potent and skill is negligible.

posted a message on Why Does Everyone Get Off On Being a Douche Bag?

At high ranks most players do this, I never thought it was to tilt but rather to show your hand.

Like oh I didn't misplay because they had lethal 3 different ways... It's a good learning opportunity. Or look back at previous turns to see if there had been a way to play around this outcome earlier.

It feels better tbh knowing I got beat legitly rather than some mage RNG spam fest.

Some people may do it to try to tilt others but I always thought it was a consideration. What I don't understand is players obsession with the shortest matches possible. And if that's really what's getting you, like has been said already, just concede if you know lethal is coming.

I've been playing a ton of Maly rogue lately and I run 2* sap plus 1 owl for this very reason.

It even feels like Vanish should be un'HOFed as it would not be overpowered in this meta, Infact rogue feels short on removal tools ATM.

Pure pally is a tempo deck deck. It aims to play multiple buff cards per turn to build a big board and end the game before plague of death can be played. Libram of justice and consecration does make it a control deck.

Are t4/5 wins considered tempo now? Sorry, I'm falling behind in the conversation.

So libram is Tempo/control/agro depending on your Mulligan?

When it CAN win is not the most important imo, it is rather about playstyle, when the swing-turns happen and if it is attacking or defending in different matchups.

Pure paladin is absolutely tempo in my opinion, as it relies on a board to stick and buff it up from the early turns. Odd paladin is also tempo imo, but slightly faster.

Some times, obvious tempo decks are called aggro because they are the fastest decks in the metagame, and are indeed the aggressor in almost every matchup.

Common CCG knowledge says there is always a "beat down" and a "control" deck in every match. A control deck typically needs to be the "beat down" against combo decks, killing them off before they can gather their pieces. Also, a very fast aggro deck can end up be the "control" deck against and ever faster deck with more burst and less board presence.

I was being sarcastic, I agree it's tempo. I believe RenInFriend mistyped and wrote 2 cards DOES make a control deck.

However, on your comment, in most matches libram has to be the aggressor to win. Against druid, priest, warrior, combo decks currently in meta, the pali losses the mid/late game, if they aren't looking for lethal early.

Paladin becomes playable for the 1rst time in 1 year and here come the 12 year old crybabies...

I've been running Maly rogue to counter the tortoise mage, however, turns out the 2x sap I'm running wrecks Libram palis too.

That deck should be left alone, if you let your opponent build a 10/10 and drop 2* braggarts you deserve it tbh.

100% agree. Card draw is the culprit. Over the top hand refill and value in agro is why this is happening.

It's my opinion that Skull of Guldan was the and still is the worse offender in DH decks, and Blizzard refuses to address it. Consistency is key and agro decks depend on it most, if they can draw their entire deck by t10 they will find the answer everytime.

Control was dead last expansion too, tempo, with RNG and unlimited value pretty much killed it.
