Dude, you're about 18 months late to this conversation. In short, you are wrong. It was the best move for the overall health of HS long term.
If they didn't introduce the rotation then we would have the problem of always having to get new, more powerful cards to replce the best ones from the prev sets. So there's a chance people would still be running Piloted Shredders and Shielded Minibots. Unless they actually gave us cards that are more powerful than those which would be ridiculous. Same for Totem Golem, Haunted Creepers, Nerubian Eggs, Emperor T - the list goes on and on. You cant just print more powerful cards to replace others. I mean how do you make a 3 drop better than Muster?
Rotation forces the meta to change and shift and that's a good thing. Yes it does get stale like a month after a new set but that's a different problem. Imagine how stale the game would have been if we never had a rotation in the first place.
Aside from tons of salt your post offers nothing constructive. Wild is actually awesome and there's a great variety of decks on the ladder from ranks 15 to 5. But you either don't play it ever or you're one of the top legend players where yes, there is less variety. I know which one my money is on.
Saying that the devs are lazy etc is a rubbish argument. It's not even an argument actually. They do their best to balance the game. Sometimes they make mistakes but they're getting better at reacting quicker and fixing things when they notice it. Now people will jump to Barnes nerf three years too late but the truth is, Big Priest's win rate isn't an issue ito power. It was just super crap to lose to. Anyway, this conversation is so 2016...

Wanna talk about 1 mana 1/3 draw when heal minion??

With the recent premiere of World of Warcraft Classic I thought it would be a good idea to restore old vanilla meta, in for example Brawliseum, where you could only play with Basic and Classic set cards (with un-nerfed cards only for this Brawl).
Would you like to see such an event? What do you think about it?

So i look at the current decklists in hsreplay.net. Also filter only decks Legend-5. From Latest Path to today there is 17 archetypes that overall winrate is over 50%. Also 2 of these are stated as Highlander, so from these 15 archetypes there is only 3 that add Zephrys the Great. This is Quest Druid, Murloc Paladin and Tempo Rogue.
Why Druid? Because it has some draws (Nourish, Wrath, Crystal Merchant and Ferocious Howl) and mostly play long enough to pull King Phaoris. Even that Zephrys the Great is in this deck it is played in around 12 turn and have 55,6 % winrate when played (third worst).
Why Paladin? Because Tip the Scales and Prismatic Lens combo that pulls most of your deck. Even that Zephrys the Great is in this deck it is played in around 9 turn and have 46,2 % winrate when played (fourth worst).
Why Rogue? Because Myra's Unstable Element sometimes is played and sometimes didn't discard him. Even that Zephrys the Great is in this deck it is played in around 7 turn and have 48,1 % winrate when played (the worst worst).
I don't think that Zephrys the Great is that good in non-singleton deck. "[...]there are Aggro Warriors and Tempo Quest Druids that don't have ANY resemblance of being a Highlander deck[...]" There is not a single Aggro Warrior that have Zephrys the Great and is not a Highlander and Quest Druid is Tempo deck? Man, you literally skipping your first four turns and kill them with 10 mana King Phaoris.
Sorry for my English. This is my secondary language and I hate learning languages.

Secret Mage is only good in Wild and Cyclone Mage has a nerfed Conjurer's Calling.

I would like to add that if you want to maximize your dust, you never ever want click "Disenchant Extra Cards" button because cards that dust refund from nerfed cards include extra copies. If you really want dust to craft some deck i recommend checking if that card is played in meta. If not (and if it is from Year 1 expansion, basically you don't want to disenchant any card from Year 2) feel free to dust it.
