I had the same issue a couple of days ago. I started playing ranked, then switched to casual to try out a few decks.  I came back to ranked playing exclusively with a control Warlock deck and I wasn't gaining any stars, nor was I losing stars when I lost.  I logged out, restarted and nothing changed so I logged a bug.  I then switched decks and started playing spell Mage, and that seemed to fix it.  

145 packs and 6 legendary... none golden.  Feels bad man. 

67 Packs, 4 Legendaries. Pincess Talnji, Zul'jin, Captian Hooktusk, War Master Voone.  Meh. 

Preorder + buying another 40 -60 packs. Hopefully with this and the 5 free packs, plus the dust for Sylvanas Windrunner, Ragnaros the Firelord  I should be good. :)

Not sure I understand this logic...I haven't "invested" any time beyond the amount I normally play the game (a few hours a week) and I'm at 5500 gold already.  The only "investing"  needed is in willpower not to spend gold as soon as you acquire it.

Your argument is perfectly valid, and I would have loved it if I could buy enough packs every new expansion from gold I collected through normal play every day. Everyone simply doesn't have the same amount of time available.

 

The second part to consider is this: do you only want the relevant cards, or a complete collection? For someone like me who enjoys the card collection as much as the moment-to-moment gameplay, and who won't mind a complete collection at some point, grinding gold is just never going to be enough to get me there.

Definitely agree that if you are a collector then there is no way you could grind enough gold...it's just not possible.  If you are just getting the relevant cards then just playing the game does that for me.  Like I said, I only play this game a few hours a week which I would wager is the amount any casual player would play.  But again, that's only to get the relevant cards, so point taken.
