I suspect they aimed a system that would be most FUN for the noobs, but in that case why not make it quest-like.
For example, each day you draw 1 side quest from a pool of ladder quests and you can maximize on it during that day - be it a streak bonus, or no stars lose bonus with reno decks, or triple win bonus for games over 30 minutes... Something different each day so that it makes the noobs log-in, see the quest and climb with different deck depending on the quest. Such system then is logical and could be extended to 100 ranks for the noobs to grind each month and have fun.
But for the players in legend wanting to compete and measure their MMR/ranking the system now is useless until the legend rank itself and the bottlenecks are NOT solved. Something the new system should have done.
Yes, everything I wrote on these forums in the past days proved right - from people losing more time on average to climb up instead of quitting and "co-oping" with others to the absolutely unnecessary climb with the bonus pool for those which MMR is pretty well known based on previous month games.
This ladder is illogical and everyone will understand it sooner or later for themselves.
Here are some tips when you have the bonus pool:
- You can quit on turn 1 depending on the match-up and your hand - it's faster when you have a bonus pool since you lose MMR (this usually means weaker opponent next game) and don't lose time to play an unfavourite game.
- You can stay at the "safe floors" and give free wins to others to lose MMR and then get the big bonus streak vs weaker opponents.
Just as I predicted - you can quit on turn 1 depending on the match-up and your hand - it's faster when you have a bonus pool since you lose MMR and don't lose time to play an unfavourite game.
Nah, they wouldn't use the word "cycle" if it wasn't meant to be 2 years. I agree it's not precisely stated, but it's 95% to be interpreted as 2 years.
I guess most people are confused, because the previous BG QoL lasted until next expansion.

Yes, absolutely worthless with the bonus.

This is not logical when they give so big streak bonus and players reach rank 5 fast.

Yes, but the purpose is not clear at all - why go from zero each month when they know our MMR?

That's the whole idea of this thread - to show the flaws in the ladder system so they change it to a full MMR one.

Exactly because of this everyone can start doing it when they realize it's faster.

Did you had a streak to legend?

There is some legendary minion with windfury that attacks your lowest attack minions first (skipping taunts).

Yep, and deathrattle: "Add a 1 mana Zilliax to your hand", so people could play it on each turn besides playing it in each deck.
ZILLIAX EVERYWHERE, GET IN HERE

Zephrys has to be 4 mana, Zilliax has to have its magnetic removed, Loatheb is quite fine.

Zephrys has to be 4 mana.

If that's the case they are toying with the playerbase with that text line. I hope they blue-post CLEAR official details until this comes out.
If it's 2500 gold for 4 months then you have to be 10k+ MMR to get this and it to be worthy for you.

Zilliax is most broken legendary for sure, after the Zephrys.
