most players will earn more gold
Still incorrect. Most players aren't earning more gold.
you're likely to earn more gold now than under the previous system
That's wrong for anyone playing little and min/maxing quests only, and very wrong for those that farmed gold. I expect to earn 5k less gold than before on expansion cycle.
You mean 40k dust reno decks are quite fair?
The problem isn't everyone is getting XP per time played now.
The problem is winning is not rewarded properly and this demotivates many people like me. Give us 5 mana instead of 10 gold, but give us something. This is a PvP card game, not Sims. Not rewarding winning in HS properly would make many players lose interest with time.
As I already wrote in another thread - all the Math behind what level is achievable is only one side of the coin. The other is the player motivation. Cutting the gold for wins was a misstep.
That's a good start Blizzard on OUR fans' rewards track:
You get 10 XP with this move. If you want your pack (our money) you have to grind the rest of the 4000 XP.
Include what people and fans said in those thousands of posts and you'll easily do it. Otherwise, you know, no pack for you and sad investors (no matter how shiny your corporate toilets are).
not getting a levels or a long periode is imo bad game design when u want to reward player
True. No one needs 300 gold at once when there isn't an offer for 4 packs for 300 gold in the shop.
They can make different paths - such with fast steps between rewards - 100 - 100 - 100 - OR the case now but with less XP required than the 3x100. Also, paths with gold only instead of packs would be nice too. Let the player choose his path depending on what he wants...
redo the math
There's one problem however - Math is only one side of the coin. You'll understand this when your current level is way lower than the expected after 3 months.
incompetent and detached
They have absolutely no big vision about how the game should work AT ALL. Duels prove it too. Combine this with the greed of their bosses and you get the mess we have now.
We need one here at the site - just like the Pack Opener simulator.
The gameplay mechanic would be simple:
1) Show us 2 hidden options - one is for win, other for lose
2) Then show us 10 hidden options - these would be the turns
So the player knows whether he won and how many turns it was. Based on that is calculated the amount of time the game lasted and the XP given for the Rewards Track.
Hourly quests we can re-roll once. No XP limit per hour. No cap on level. Let us race the Rewards Track Simulator, collect gold, open packs and build a virtual collection of cards!
P.S. You already have the code for pack openings, just improve on it.
P.P.S. This post is not a joke. Such game would be played a lot. Do it Hearthpwn Team!
Yes, I have tested queing and going to toilet. I don't know how much XP this gives, but I suppose if I visit the toilet frequently enough I'll be good and I'll reach the big pile of rewards in the end.
