Good to know it's been useful. I have been thinking about crafting it. I decided to do Stampeding Kodo for my last craft. But I think I will do Bestial Fury as soon as I have enough dust again. I rarely get to play Scavenging Hyena to its full extent. It's usually just a bait card to get a Hex or Polymorph or another big removal out of the way.
I just had a funny experience playing as Priest against a Rogue that I wanted to share. It was a casual match, I was just doing my Daily Quest for gold. I have hardly played Priest, and only have it leveled up to 12. Playing Priest requires too much math for me. :p But here we go!
This was my deck. I'm sure it's not that great, but again it was my first time building a Priest deck.
Turn 6 - I played Gurubashi Berserker. [Me: 21, Rogue: 26] I thought maybe Rogue would be tempted to remove it versus going for my face, but....
Turn 6 - Rogue played Abusive Sergeant and Abusive Sergeant buffing Bloodsail Raider to 11/3 and hit me for -11, then hit me for -5 with weapon, and played Sinister Strike hitting me for -3. [Me: 2, Rogue: 26] Rogue emotes "Mistakes were made, I will be your death, and all that nonsense....
Turn 7 - I played Divine Spirit and Divine Spirit buffing Gurubashi to 2/28. Then I played Inner Fire making Gurubashi 28/28. I paused a few seconds letting Rogue continue to emote threats. (Why do people do that, anyway?) Then I hit Rogue for -28 damage. [Me: 3, Rogue: dead]
lololololololol
I decided maybe I should play Priest a little more. :D
If mad scientist gets changed beyond statline, it's going to be a pretty big change I think. It would have to be something like "Pull a random secret from your deck, play it right then for free or discard it" (but who wouldn't just always play it?)
I agree, the majority of the time it would be advantageous to just play the secret for free. I had the unlucky experience during one game where I played Snipe and my opponent then played Nerubian Egg. Whoopsie! Instant 4/4 for 2 mana for them. That's when I took Mad Scientist out of my deck. lol
I like Loatheb because he breaks up planned combos. I don't think he needs to be nerfed since his ability is just a Battlecry, it's only good next turn, and you can only have one of him in your deck. He's a game changer but not a game winner in my experiences.
No one is calling for Nerub'ar Weblord to be nerfed, and I find that card makes a bigger impact on games than Loatheb (except vs Mage), and you can have 2 of him. Coin into it on turn 1 and (if you're lucky enough to draw it again) play the second copy on turn 2. Minions with any notable battlecry are basically unplayable for the next 3 turns. :D I've never seen anyone but me play that card, and I can't understand why. He is so much fun! Especially in my Hunter deck, which has only 2 cards with Battlecry, so he doesn't affect my plays much at all.
I feel like conceding is bad manners, even if you have clearly lost. IMHO, you should finish the match regardless.
One thing that does annoy me is when I obviously can't win (ex. my deck is fatigued), and my opponent drags out my loss for 3 or 4 turns playing everything in their hand and just letting the deck fatigue kill me or whatever. At that point, I usually just get up and get something to drink/go to the bathroom/whatever, and let them decide if they want to keep sitting through 90 seconds after every turn just to play a superfluous card. However, I've also had a match where my opponent was dragging out their win, became overconfident and healed my hero. Knocked down my health in the next two turns, but I finally drew a card and killed them. (I was playing Hunter - had a stupid Angry Chicken in my hand from the Webspinner deathrattle, then drew a Kill Command. Suddenly, I love you, Angry Chicken!). I guess they either got overconfident or didn't really care whether they won/loss.
Not including disconnect losses, I've only conceded once, and that was during a game I was mostly likely going to win, but my opponent took the full 90 seconds on each of their turns making the game last FOREVER. I was playing on my lunch break, and finally I just ran out of time and had to get back to work, so I had to concede.
Mad Scientist - put a Secret from your deck into your hand.
I like this idea a lot. It keeps the flavor of the Mad Scientist without making it hyper-efficient.
I think making that change would make Mad Scientist even more effective. I have dropped him from my Hunter decks, because he would just end up wasting secrets for me (I only have 2 - Snipe and Explosive Trap). I would add him back in if the secrets went to my hand instead of directly to the board. Maybe I would feel differently if I had Flare cards, as they're a bit less situational (at the worst, you'll draw a card). I could roll with Flare being 2 mana cost though because all of the other Hunter Secrets are 2 mana.

Turn 1 - I played Mind Vision and received Deadly Poison. [Me: 30, Rogue: 30]
Super helpful.
Turn 1 - Rogue played nothing. [Me: 30, Rogue: 30]
Turn 2 - I played nothing. [Me: 30, Rogue: 30]
Turn 2 - Rogue used Hero Power and hit me for -1. [Me: 29, Rogue: 30]
Turn 3 - I played Northshire Cleric. [Me: 30, Rogue: 30]
Turn 3 - Rogue played Wolfrider hitting me for -3, then played Deadly Poison and destroyed my Northshire Cleric. [Me: 26, Rogue: 29]
Turn 4 - I played Holy Smite and destroyed Wolfrider. [Me: 26, Rogue: 29]
Turn 4 - Rogue played Assassin's Blade and hit me for -5. [Me: 21, Rogue: 29]
Turn 5 - I played Sen'jin Shieldmasta. [Me: 21, Rogue: 29]
Turn 5 - Rogue took out my Sen'jin Shieldmasta with weapon (-3 to Rogue), and played Bloodsail Raider (buffed to 7/3). [Me: 21, Rogue: 26]
Turn 6 - I played Gurubashi Berserker. [Me: 21, Rogue: 26]

Maexxna...interesting. I always have the dream of Houndmastering her, but it never works out.

Is it just me or is Captain's Parrot the most common beast you get from Webspinner? I would rather get an Angry Chicken!

Oh man. This is going to be a tough choice between Ice Crown, which I love right now.

I'm on board with that. I'm getting kind a little tired of ol' Ironbeak.

I would like to see more Dragon cards, and Dragon cards that interact like the Beasts and Demons currently do. Some Dragon cards that might be fun:
Anyhoo, just some thoughts.

Deadly Shot will take this out at any +/+ even with stealth if you can get it alone on the board.

I agree. I missed out on that one, unfortunately. :(

Awesome card back. I can't wait for this season to end so I can use it! :)

I love the artwork on this card. I hope the artist does more in the future.
