Those are just some general thoughts. Are there any particular game situations giving you trouble right now? (For example Mage's Flamestrike?)

posted a message on Can we have an 'Automatic End Turn' option?

Sometimes after I've played all my options, I take a few moments to think about the plays I made, what my opponent's counters will be, what cards I will play next turn, before hitting "End Turn".

Those are always great moments. So long as you're not the one losing 30 health in 1 turn. :p

I use her in my Priest deck. She is definitely a late game card and can swing games in your favor. Or not help at all. Just depends on the situation. If you get her on the board and get 1 card draw out of her, sometimes that's worth it because her cards can be awesome.

Ive heard of things like this. Are either of them Apps?

For stats, check out Hearthstats.net. You can enter in your info manually, but there is an application that will do it all for you. It's very handy.

For the deck tracker, check out Hearthstone Deck Tracker.

There are others, of course. Those are just the two that I use at the moment.

Maybe he meant legionnaires, in which case, it's a very good thing that he doesn't have it. XD

posted a message on 90% win rate pally deck

I played against a Paladin last night who used an Echoing Ooze, buffed it with Blessing of Kings, then taunted it with Defender of Argus. Two 6/7 taunts on the board among other things. Fortunately, I had Mass Dispel in my hand, so that saved me. If I wouldn't have had that silence, however, that could have been a very sticky (get it? :D) situation as I only had a Dark Cultist buffed to 8/8 on the board. But I played Mass Dispel, played Divine Spirit then Inner Fire [/card]on my [card]Dark Cultist for a 16/16 and hit face for lethal. I think we were both just as surprised with that outcome.

They were also running 2 Avenge secrets. Hmm.... Did you happen to be playing last night in Ranked, Pun_Int3nded? Haha :p

I guess it wouldn't have been you though, since your deck isn't running Defender of Argus, and I never saw Secret Keeper or Sea Giant come out of theirs. But it was quite similar, and it was a very challenging to keep the board manageable. Those Avenge secrets can really throw a wrench in your strategy. If you are still thinking about dropping the Mad Scientists, I think Defender of Argus might have a place in your deck.

Anyway, if you would like someone to play this deck against, feel free to add my battletag! I had a good time playing against the variation I faced.

posted a message on Blizzard should make seasons last longer (2 months)
    Quote from Asuryan »
I'd like to see Blizzard add something in-game to show you how well you're doing on the ladder, compared with everyone else.  Until they released the percentages yesterday, nobody knew how many players reached legend.  If they put that in game, people would feel better about reaching Rank 5 etc.

+1. This would be so beneficial. I don't know if extending a season would work. If you hit legend early, then what? You don't have much incentive to keep playing the rest of the season unless you want to get a better legend rank. I think this is where leaderboards for every rank would help. You could see how many people are in each rank at any given time or even just at the end of the season, which gives you a better idea of how well you've done compared to others.

posted a message on Do you feel nervous and worried whenever you play hearthsotne?
    Quote from ghostygirl »

I get nervous in any PvP situation.  I have it in WoW and it's the same in Hearthstone.  In WoW, I just avoid any PvP situations as much as I can but that isn't an option in Hearthstone.   In Hearthstone I just force myself to do it and it usually eases up after a match or two though it's worse in Arena where I actually have gold 'invested' so there's extra pressure to get at least 3 wins.  I usually just play Casual once I get my rank down past 20 to get the card back because then I feel less pressure to win on top of the usual PvP issues (though with most of the dailies involving winning, there is some pressure there too).  Part of the anxiety is more related to the thought of embarassing myself or doing something that will make an opponent dislike me.

No need to feel embarrassed. The only one who sees what happens is you. Even if you're opponent was screenrecording, they wouldn't see your complete battletag, so you still have your anonymity. There's nothing you can do to make someone dislike you unless you are letting the rope burn every single turn after you've made all your plays. If you want, you can add my battletag. We can play some friendly games where mistakes don't matter, and the goal is to just have fun. :)

First of all, you're probably a better player than you think you are. You're unfairly comparing yourself to others who are more experienced at the game, more knowledgeable of the cards, more adept at a certain play style, or, in my case, who are much better than I am at math. XD

My suggestion would be to set more reasonable short-term goals. For example, my goal each season is to achieve 1 rank higher than I did last season. It doesn't matter if I don't end the season at that rank. I attained it, and that is an accomplishment. I took a screenshot this season when I hit rank 13. I was super proud. It doesn't matter that it wasn't legend or even rank 12. I did better than I ever have (highest was rank 18 previously). I played a few more games, and won and lost, and I ended the season one rank lower. So I lost out on 1 bonus star for this season, so what? I broke my previous record and even surpassed my goal of getting just one rank above last season! I feel great about my performance even if it wasn't "legend."

Maybe putting some of this in perspective will help you take the pressure off yourself. Let's look at the August stat report from Hearthstats. Based on a sample size of around 130,000 players. The class with the highest win rate on ladder is Warlock, and that win rate is only 53%! No one wins every game. Even the top ranked class in constructed only wins around 5 out of 10 games. Hitting legend is quite literally a matter of TIME.

Take a look at this awesome chart someone on Reddit made. If you have a 55% win rate, you have to play 555 games to reach legend. That's about 18 games a day, of which you'd win 10 and lose 8. You will lose 250 games during your ladder climb. How many games did you play last month? Did you play enough games for legend to even be a possibility? Personally, I don't have enough free time to play 18 games a day.

Plus, guess what? Next month, you'll be at bottom of the ladder again anyway. (Or slightly higher, depending on your bonus stars...)

posted a message on Can't decide which of these two is preferable for my deck...

At 1 health Priestess is just so vulnerable to low mana minions/spells/etc. -- Stonetusk Boar, Smite, Earth Shock, Frost Shock, Mage hero power, Drain Life, a 1/1 Paladin summon, Hounds, Arcane Shot, Shadow Word Pain, any silence, any AOE spell, Dread Infernal battlecry...

Personally, I get more mileage out of Argent squire. It's like she's a 1/2 really. Except better because you can run her into a Sunwalker or whatever you need and she is still around, plus she survives AOE and that can be crucial sometimes.

If you're looking at Priestess because you want the health buff, I would go with Blood Imp because it has stealth, so it sticks around longer.
