Inner Fire or Divine Spirit should rank higher on priest nerf list than Mind Blast, IMO.

posted a message on What’s your least played class?

Hunter is my least played, as I have yet to hit level 60 and it's the last one I have left to do so, but I have fewest ladder wins with warrior (just 12).

I play control but never had much comfort with warrior.

Most played: 900+ ladder wins with priest, 600 with mage, and about 103 wins away from a gold warlock. Thief Priest and Treachery Warlock have been my favorite decks to play, while Big Spell Mage is probably my most successful (I run into aggro far too much).

posted a message on Year of the Dragon Expansions Guessing Thread

Image 1: Dalaran (Purple, cement). I can see it being alternate universe Shattrath too.

Image 2: Ulduar/TItans theme (stars, runes)

Image 3: Here Be Dragons (fire, fire, fire). Btw, is there an Ouroboros at the edge of the circe? And that it looks quite earthy? Maybe we learn how Blackwing got corrupted -- dragons vs. the Old Gods, anyone? Or maybe it's Chromie and the Bronze Dragonflight, with Hearthstone doing a time-travel thing (perfect good-bye to a then certain outgoing Mage legendary).

Next year image I noticed: Year of the Dinosaur/Tyranosaur

posted a message on Huge Announcement

Genn & Baku -- Part of me is like, we didn't get to see potential for say, druid, priest, odd warlock, but the other part of me is sick of the potential already shown. Hopefully they don't become a giant problem to wild players. Really makes Day 1 of the next expansion an exciting mystery (unless the card previews underwhelm).

The G&B package cards -- Good: I have a golden stag, so that means that gold epic gives me a free legendary in dust. Moth was worrisome but never came to pass.

Divine Favor -- Year late, but still, good riddance to anything aggro.

Naturalize -- Good to go with Skulking Geist gone; limits OTK/Combo Druid we've all come to hate.

Doomguard -- seems like a year late, but maybe there's a big mechanic in the wings that would make things worse. I assume. Does make discard decks weaker (and they finally got around to being somewhat playable).

    Cards that should've gotten hit:

Leeroy Jenkins -- If Doomguard went, so should this POS. The Hearthstone pack gods gave me a gold one, so I'd like two other legendaries' worth of dust.

Bloodlust -- I hate garbage minion aggro even more. Flood the table, play this or evolve, win game. Lazy.

Inner Fire -- the inverse of the above; just need one big minion to survive and win game. Lazy win condition for priest, which I got my first gold with. Rather have shadow effects as win condition. With Skulking Geist gone, I'm a little worried this might find a way to exploit the meta with Topsy Turvy as backup (see Wall Priest).

    Other stuff:
Arena -- I don't play it, but I might check it out if Mean Streets, League of Explorers or Karazhan cards come in -- I returned to HS during Kara.

Random card back -- Awesome, and I like Kripp's suggestion of a random "rainbow" deck -- all your cards have random backs.

    Legendaries with upswing after announcement:
Hexlord Malacrass -- Odd out, this might have potential in various mage decks. Question is, what does mage want encores for and will it be enough?

Akali, the Rhino -- Control-ish warriors now looking more to embrace rush.

Prince Liam -- Does Hakkar come into play next year? Does Aggro Paladin use this as a fallback/Renounce Darkness meme deck?

Bwonsamdi -- If aggro decks are weakened, does Thief Priest make a star turn? Hasn't been viable or fun to play since Un'Goro era aggro killed it.

posted a message on Your Resources For The New Expansion?

I'm wondering just how the yields will be. Mammoth cards are like 70% of most decks.

1,800 gold (would be 2,000 but I was three packs from legendary on the last expansion -- got Loti, shrug)

Expect to be at 90-100 packs with preorder by April.

posted a message on Brawl of Champions Round Two Is This Week's Tavern Brawl

Warlock IS OP this week. Got my wins easy through ragequits on turn 4 cataclysm and a 2mana 3/4 overkill rush demon that discards.

Did draw that nasty Gadgetzan-era demon that gives you 5 damage per minion added though.

posted a message on Should they make the Lich King permanent?

The Skulking Geist and Stonehill Defender have better arguments for staying. So many bothersome or essential 1-mana spells, and a good multi-use tool.

Lich King is the outgoing Dr. Boom of the Mammoth years. Wouldn't be surprised if power creep has him too slow to be effective in a few months. It happened to Ysera and Boom in wild.

posted a message on Dean Ayala Asks: What Would Get You Back Into Hearthstone?

Make aggro decks weaker and their cards more expensive. Too much aggro is a poison, and makes the game boring. Every deck has to carry far more anti-aggro tech or it just isn't worth trotting out, for fun or wins.

Make control decks cheaper, so more players can use them.

More ways to break up OTK decks. I found Rin+Howlfiend lock in wild fun just for this reason. Doesn't need to be as oppressive as coldlight rogue.

Return DK Rexxar to its original setting (can only select WotLK and older beasts) or limit/prevent it from getting miracle mixes of cave hydra, poison lifesteal rush in one beast, etc.

Monthly nerfs/buffs to shake up the meta. And maybe a new card or two. Marin might have struck out, but it did get people to experiment for a week or to.

posted a message on Weekly Card Design Competition 9.05 - Submission Topic

A reckless Dark Iron Dwarf archaeologist last seen in Un'Goro in WoW. Flavor text: "Used a Bull Dozer to find a porcelain cup. Also keeps digging up this Jeklik troll."

The card spared for both players is random. An all-in tactic that is another way to mass-spawn returning discards like Jeklik, and a sure-fire OTK/Combo prevention, though there is a chance of backfire on say, their Mecha'thun surviving or essential cards remaining in their deck.

The damage to self and friendly minions, as well as the mana cost, are set to keep aggro and Jaraxxus-turned warlocks from taking advantage of the card.

posted a message on What should I craft?

Wait. Majority of decks are made up of cards going to wild in April.

That gold can go to new stuff and the dust to whatever you will need from new set or Witchwood, Boomsday or Rastakhan cards that finally shine with all the old reliables gone.

PS you can use the dust toward HOF crafting, as a few cards are expected to go away to wild. You get reimbursed by Blizzard. (Leeroy? Malygos? Preperation? Divine Favor? Inner Fire? Bloodlust?)

posted a message on How to beat Big Priest

Treachery howlfiend warlock is no guarantee, but is sure as hell fun to send them a Doomsayer to screw up their spellstones or as a response to Barnes.

Because of silence and entomb, send Rin in if you can guarantee her death before his turn, via your spellstone at level 3 buff, Rin plus coin plus treachery-Doomsayer combo, or when he tries a spellstone and a doomsayer pops out. Big Priest doesn't fare well if you can get the ritual spells as they often don't have the ability to immediately and/or constantly pressure you from casting them to eventually destroy their deck.

Gnomeferatus can get lucky and take out something vital.

Howlfiend combo is tricky. Big priest rarely has chain reaction clutter. But if you can get it, it can be devastating mid or late game, eliminating rez spells and such.

posted a message on Give me some fun to play deck

Not many wins but fun against OTK/Control:
Shudderwock Shaman that uses Saronite Bombers and elementals. Thijs used the deck last month in one of his videos and it got me into playing shaman -- and even crafting Shudderwock post-nerf. Druids, Paladins and miracle rogues will enjoy all the bombs you put in their deck.

    For some wins:
Treachery Warlock in Wild. Because of slower decks and OTKs, you'll find happiness in giving the gift of Howlfiend to C'thun Rogues, Renolocks, Aviana Druids, and DK Paladins; Doomsayers to Big Priests, etc.
Rin, Skulking Geist and Gnomeferatus can help you kill their deck as well.

Both of these decks suck against hunter, btw, but wild sees fewer of them, thankfully. (Did beat a secret hunter with the latter deck last night)

posted a message on Censorship of Jaina - discussion and poll

Well, Jaina had nothing on Shadowverse's Veteran Alchemist card artwork (powered-up version) ... and probably several other cards from that game too.

I'll let you Google Image Search that one, if the mods here are touchy as you all say.

posted a message on A small cleanup. What to DE?

There's a pinned thread on the current viability of standard and wild legendaries on Hearthpwn.

-- in case it didn't pin correctly --
    https://www.hearthpwn.com/forums/hearthstone-general/card-discussion/205920-legendary-tier-list-crafting-guide

Also, don't dust Rin; I'm having fun taking apart slower wild decks with Treachery Warlock. Made the past few weeks enjoyable to get away from Standard Hunterstone and Odd Paladin sheep flocks. Guide says Rin is Tier 2 in wild. Hm.

You should have dusted Naga Sea Witch when the card was taken out back and shot in the head by Blizzard nerfed, btw. Would've gotten 800 dust.
