The problem with Malygos is that it a dragon and can be summoned by the stupid Druid card. Then you get alextrazad int double swipe from 30 health and opponent had no board. Not interactive or fun or counterable.
but no, sap is the problem.
Maly isn't the problem, high damage spells going face in a game with no counter to it is the problem. In the war on Charge we forgot about the spells.
Wild is so incredibly stale, it's no fun at all anymore. If Blizz don't shake up the format somehow it'll be the same few boring decks forever. Only bots enjoy playing virtually the same Secret Mage list for years.
Good luck, we've been begging for this for years. The problem with Resurrection has always been the fact that there is no actual graveyard to pull from, meaning they can resurrect multiple copies of a minion regardless of how many copies of it have died.
You're comparing the monthly cardbacks to a cardback that actually requires you to achieve something. This comparison is flawed. The only objective you had to achieve was to be a player back then. I'd say an effort would be an achievement you put deliberate energy into getting it, not "Just play the game!" or "Buy packs!"
So far, it doesn't seem like they're going to return Event cardbacks, or those you had to spend money on, but rather the monthly ones. Don't really see why that's controversial.
I said it's the same in principle, which it is. Fulfill these requirements, get cardback.
Your argument is that simply being a player back then isn't worth anything, I would argue that it should be, especially to Blizz. I'm not pro or con, I'm just saying I can see why people who have supported the game for a long time would feel cheated by those tokens of appreciation being devalued.
Would it be okay if they put the Legend cardback in the shop? The principle is the same: you are required to meet specific conditions in order to obtain it, just like any other. Whether it's the Legend cardback or the Twitch one, the preorder ones or the Secret Level one or whatever, I can see why people would think it disrespectful to the players that actually made the effort to get them.
This has been said a hundred times but I will never understand the thinking behind taking a tier 1 deck into Casual.
I always treated it like a place to mess around with homebrew decks or lower tiered decks that aren't really competitive but are fun to play. I just faced a Legend card-backed aggro Demon Hunter, followed by a Bomb Warrior. Eye-rolls all round. I wish there a 'yawn' emote.
You need to learn to recognize there's some people you shouldn't bother with. It's like trying to talk a racist into equality.
Interesting analogy, and one you have entirely backwards. In this discussion, I'm the one trying explain why black lives matter. But I can't be bothered to try anymore, they have made up their mind and there is no room for reason.
It's not OP at all, it's very inconsistent. Most decent control decks counter it.
Consistency has nothing to do with it. Imagine situation where referee rolls the dice before the game. One dot means team A won. Two dots means team B won. Any other result means normal play. What are the chances of getting 1 or 2 dots? Not that big, but you think such a system would be fair?
Consistency has everything to do with making a high roll dependent deck fair. And you're suggesting that the high roll isn't counterable, which it is. Priest pretty consistently beats Druid. I'd imagine Bomb Warrior does well against it too.
So you think this (first game) is acceptable?
Druid won coin toss as early as turn 3 and the game was over. That's fine, right? So why wouldn't Blizzard just print a card with such mechanic: If you draw it before turn 4, you win the game? It's basically the same thing, game decided by RNG.
You're using a worst case scenario and implying that it's the norm, which it isn't. There are plenty of decks that go off with seemingly nothing you can do about it if the cards come out exactly right.
I get the impression that you have made your mind up that it's especially oppressive (it's not) and no amount of logic or historical evidence to the contrary will change your mind. And I have no interest in arguing with you about it.

It's subjective opinion. I'm sure a lot of people would cry Priest whereas I am convinced that Mage has always been the Blizzard darling.

Pyroblast and Fireball. High damage face spells in a game with no way to counter it has always been bullshit.

Why are all Mages pieces of shit. What is it about that class that attracts the piece of shit personality.

I don't mind the card but I'd like the animation sped up.

Oh yes, well done crybabies. Thanks for Paladinstone. No really, bravo. Dickheads.

I'm guessing both the constructed nerfs are based on the performances at GM where Illucia seemed strong.
