I would agree with the general assessment - no win conditions and too passive. Hence I would suggest a minion priest, as someone posted a build here a few months back.
Personally, I run a shadow minion priest (with the 2-attack hero power), but in control style. About 2/3 of my cards are minions (since I can’t use holy spells) - and many of these minions are low cost (and a few generate cards).
Priest have a number of good value minions, and I actively play them… playing a tempo style compared to a passive spell priest. And I use the 7-mana guy that double minion stats, which helps to pressure warlocks.
I’m at diamond 5 now with > 50% win rate. Try minion priest for a few games (with dirty rats to fight odyn warriors, warlocks and mages), and see if this suits ya better.
But ya, games take 10 minutes, and I don’t like playing against priest for 20 minute games (yes, the irony).
I had this game when I copied his Sif randomly, and used it on turn 7. He used the mage skill to cloned my Sif (oops) and proceeded to hit me a few times. I survived because the spell damage was not much.
Then I used whirlpool on turn 8 to wipe the Sif off his deck. Had a great game after knowing he lost his win condition
Ask yourself… if you don’t come back, what will you be doing with that extra time?
I took a break from hearthstone for a year, and found myself with more time to build my (neglected) business and read more books.
But if you stop hearthstone and use that time to err… play another time consuming game, then seriously it’s not much of a difference. Every game has its fun and flaw…. So come back and play for free, and see if it’s really worth the experience
So I guess most of us are keeping renew and taking out wandmakers? Wondering what to replace them with. I’m facing mainly shamans, but I don’t think I want 2 oozes, haha
Awesome build. I’ve got up to diamond 5 with a control shaman build. I found dragon breath x2 to be crazy good against aggro (even though I only have 4 dragons).
I had squallhunter to replace Phoenix because I’m greedy and it works better with landslide (6 mana AOE, which can clear the Murloc prime for paly, and also the treant respawn deathrattle for druid)
Now making comparisons to see how I can better my build with yours. Really helpful, thank you

Blizzard will just increase the mana for Odyn to 9 mana. =p

Gonna be useful when paladins and death knights use the new cool ghoul (4 mana 3/1 divine reborn guy)
Instead of trying to attack it 4 times to kill it, just kill it for 1 mana.
Pretty useful should divine shield paladins and frost DKs become meta.

I like robe of protection. Then I fought tons of buff paladin who didn’t care about it. God is fair.

Sorry Guys, but any answers to my 4 questions? =)

Thanks samiwinch.
Noted and agreed on all 3 points, thanks for the clear explanation.
Gotta get used to life without condemns, been too dependent on it. 😅

Nice deck, and thanks for sharing! =)
3 questions
1) I use wandmakers in all my priest decks, love all the 1-mana spells. Would you recommend that in this deck... say, replacing desperate prayers?
2) I use AOE in all my priest decks. Do you not need them because of the meta not being Aggro?
3) Can I cut apotheosis to 1, wondering if it become a dead card in many matches if we don’t have board control and blademaster?

Had fun using mountain giants on turn 3.
struggles against fast aggro, but superior against control

Same. I lost polymorph. Restarted the game and it’s back

I like this guy. Too bad I was never good enough to play Cho to his level. He’s a very intelligent gamer
