I think the achievements system sounds the best, because it doesn't disclude anyone, and therefore nobody can complain about it. People complain about exclusive card backs, but if you have an achievement system where theoretically anyone can achieve any of the achievements with enough time, then there is no reason not to include it, really.
What would be the downside? (Besides the time spent making it, obviously).
That sounds like a great idea! Card Packs could be a great way to get caught up with older expansions, either by giving older expansion packs away, or by allowing you to pick what pack you get as a reward (which should be implemented in the Arena ASAP).
I think the problem with an additional card back is that people would feel screwed out of getting it, and complain a lot, if they kept trying to rank but fell back below 10. And of course, anyone who can't consistently achieve Rank 10 would oppose the idea.
Always interesting to see their thought processes in designing the adventures - and interesting to hear about where that Mutation Hero Power disappeared to. Was so confused when that didn't show up at all in the fight.
Well i've just had an Explosive Sheep kill my Imp Gang Boss and the Imp it spawned died. Even though the death of the sheep was not by hitting my Gang Boss. So the sheep's deathrattle went off, killing my imp gang boss, afterwhich my imp should have spawned and stayed alive, for the deathrattle damage had already occured, I guess...
There is a difference between Deathrattle and effects that activate upon taking damage, like that of imp gang boss.
Since taking damge lead to the death of the creature, and therefore to the deathrattle, logicly the damage taking effect applies first , spawns an imp , which then against get´s killed by the deathrattle.
Btw, this also applies for effects like knife jugglers. If you have an Imp Gang Boss or Grim Patron alongside Knife Juggler, and you enemy plays Blizzard for example, the knife juggler is still going to throw a knife, since the minion spawned while he was at 0 hp but before he was dead.
I think you misread what he typed. He said that the sheeps deathrattle is what damaged the imp gang boss and killed it, therefore the spawned imp should not have taken any damage. While I haven't personally had any problems with this card, I can see how these inconsistencies could be frustrating. Hope they get fixed soon.
I don't see what the problem is. Sure, the game can be decided by turn 4, but that's no reason to concede if you're behind by then. Often you'll be able to stage a comeback, or your opponent might misplay, or you might not even be as far behind as you think.
And even then, you could just be a really good guesser. Without being able to see both hands, you can't have known for sure which player was ahead, so to say that you are 85% accurate doesn't really mean much.
Well what is then? I think that it makes perfect sense as it is currently worded, and you're the first person I've seen who has an issue with it. This is the best way to word it as far as I can tell, and it isn't unclear (in my opinion) what does and doesn't cause it to trigger.
The cards that give immunity has to be the answer... I thought maybe the Warrior 'Less than 12 Health' cards, but there's only Revenge and Mortal Strike.
I can't... I can't figure out what they have in common. As far as I can tell they're just 5 random members who happened to get the achievement. Some of them don't post that much, they've all been registered for over a year. I thought it'd be easiest to figure out from emi, but I genuinely have no idea.
The above four responses are pretty much what is happening if they are actually playing cards instead of just roping (usually).
In summary:
1) To show off some of the cards in your deck, perhaps more unusual ones or the last ones in your hand. 2) To earn more XP from the match - maybe they're close to levelling? 3) To show you that they had multiple ways to kill you - maybe they feel you won't be as rage-y if they show you that you definitely lost. 4) Quests. This I feel is the most common - it's why I do it most often, anyway.
And as was suggested by other people, if you don't want to wait for them, just concede - just remember that by doing so, you give up the opportunity for them to screw themselves out of lethal.

Ah, I always love seeing the different decks people come up with - proves there's more than one way to beat the bosses :)

Yes. So?

All of the above. Minions and Heroes attack; Spells/Deathrattles/Battlecries etc. inflict damage.

I'm so glad this only took me a few tries - I tried the gimmicky OTK Druid Millhouse vs The Arena, and it took me two hours XD

This frustrates me :/

Well, it's nice to be able to play hearthstone on the toilet now :D
Had a bit of a connection issue, but my internet was being buggy that day, so I' sure it was just that. Seems pretty good :)

Okay, I'm stumped. All I can think of is Eye for an Eye, and that's only because of the first line XD
