Because BG is absolutely free and nothing to collect. While mercenaries needs a lot of coins. If they dont give you coins for ldder it would he even harder. But I agree that they need to do something for pve to make it more engaging. Some weekly chalenges or dungeons for example.

HatShapedHat posted a message on Balance Changes Coming Next Thursday July 15thPosted in: NewsI was curious and looked into the spread of Discover across all classes and neutrals since people always complain about it and here's the distribution:
- Neutral: 25
- Demon Hunter: 2
- Druid: 8
- Hunter: 16
- Mage: 20
- Paladin: 8
- Priest: 15
- Rogue: 14
- Shaman: 8
- Warlock: 7
- Warrior: 7
ALL Discover cards were counted, including those that directly summoned minions, tutor effects and those affecting hero powers. Cards with multiple instances (such as Tracking) were not counted. Tri-class cards were counted in each instance too.
Now when people complain about Discover generation in Priest, you can point them to the fact that Mage and Hunter have more Discover cards than Priest.
That's just not a good argument....like....at all. Pure quantity of Discover cards means absolutely nothing because you can't judge their validity in a vacuum. There are far too many other variables which feed into the effectiveness of the Discover mechanic depending on the class.

Demon723 posted a message on Wailing Caverns Mini Set - More New CardsPosted in: NewsI love that we’re getting more hand disruption cards. It’s frustrating that the only option to stop big plays is to play aggro and beat them by turn 4, or making the game a race to get your combo out before your opponent and breaking it down to just luck

Pizzacats posted a message on New Paladin Epic Card Revealed - ConvictionPosted in: NewsGreat.... this is absolutely insane in odd Paladin. If you leave even 2 minions on board at 10 mana, you’re dead. Leeroy + 2 of this card on 2 minions that stuck is 24 damage from hand. What the fuck. So this is why charge rotated to wild I guess.

fusilli posted a message on Changed Core Cards Will Replace Legacy Cards with Same Name - Discussion OngoingPosted in: NewsGood to see hearthpwn reporting on this :) Personally, I'm in the 'make new version' camp, but I can understand blizz' point. I think it sets a bad precedent to take old cards and change them for pulling into STD. Tracking is arguably a nerf (dodged a fair few bombs that way!), for example. I'm also suspicious of the 'boar caused more cards to not exist than any other' - whilst I don't doubt the quote, I don't think blizz think too much about Wild balance when producing new cards. Their reaction to Hysteria - leaving it for over a week, despite seeing the combo pre-release and wanting to see how it shook out - screams that they either did it deliberately or didn't see it and talked a load of bull. Now that Boar is not standard, many more of those cards can be printed anyway, because the power level in WIld is generally significantly higher.
Flip knows how Jaraxxus will work, due to different card type. Still holding out faint hope for double Jaraxxus. Main reason not to have multiple cards with the same name is UI and customer interaction; if it's underlying systems then somebody has programmed it stupidly (not to mention that they've done un-nerfed cards before, and will with classic mode).

SoloSnacks posted a message on The New Core Set Revealed Cards - Old, New and Reimagined.Posted in: NewsQuote from Garlicnerd >>this operational definition of playable you're using is completely meaningless. 99% of the time when people are asking if a card is playable, they mean is it good in actual high-level decks, like could you play it at legend. there aren't any unplayable cards at Chicken rank so defining playable in the way that you are is meaningless.
FWIW - your own definition of the term seems far too restrictive. Lots of cards can be "good" without seeing any play at all - Sparkjoy Cheat is an excellent example. The card is clearly good, though there isn't currently a deck that plays the card - a few other Rogue decks are simply much better than Secret Rogue.
In addition - you are the only person using a merely "operational" definition of the term. For you, "playable" means "actually seeing play right now" and nothing else. Rotnest Drake currently isn't seeing much play - but the card isn't "bad" or "unplayable". Indeed, judging by the HSReplays numbers, Rotnest is simply underplayed, enjoying one of the highest "played win-rates" of any 5-drop in the game. But if playable only means "seeing play right now" there isn't much room for discussing most of what is interesting about card games - how best to leverage advantages against the top decks in the meta-game by testing under-played but over-performing cards.
etc, etc . . .
GLHF.

4 mana?! this what you call meta pick!

OH NO! The crazy one is here in Hearthstone! T_T (I'm so happy)
1
this the 'power creep' we've all been waiting for - feels bad Stormpike Commando
2
pretty good in Big Rouge in wild early tempo
4
Thanks for the cool facts man! xD

I think this card is definitely made for wild and best played in later turns not on curve (that's a naive plays we're used to) its expected to be combo around decks that use abusive cards like Seaforium Bomber or C'Thun
1
ikr i hope he atleast chages the tittle to have some repect for the deck at least
3
True, I don't fully aprove of the tittle, but the deck still good in the current meta (since the nerfing of cards)
4
this deck holds its own i hope blizz makes better updated cards for mechs just like murlocs
