It's sort of strange how they continue to make so many situational legendary cards when "add a random legendary to your hand" is a common theme. One which is held back continually by the situational nature of the legendary card pool.
Now, I think even removing the low roll chance of getting Lorewalker Cho, Nat Pagle and Milhouse Manastorm improves that pool immensely anyway. To the point that it might be worth it for a card like Brightwing. But... it's still a strange trend.
As someone who's been trying to make midrange and tempo priest work for like... a month, this card frustrates the hell out of me.
It's kind of the perfect priest card.
1) Isn't traditional card draw 2) Thins your deck of things you don't want to draw and have to play 3) Has great deathrattle synergy.
Sigh. C'est la vie, je suppose.
As a card this is great. Love it. I don't get the Hooktusk comparison. This has a better stat layout and can be more reliably built around. Deathrattle minions are just also generally better than pirates.
Obviously this is pretty good. The synergy with broom is kind of insane.
It's sort of difficult to imagine the card in any other context? Like it's got a very powerful effect, but I'm having trouble imagining a scenario where without broom it's not easy to just play around.
This can trigger multiple times, and the only card that gave +2/+2 was Fungalmancer. It was 2 more mana than this, and was one of the strongest cards in hearthstone ever.
The only thing holding this back is that tempo druid has never really been a thing. Token has, but this is less effective in a token deck I think.
Rebuke is different. It's more for disrupting your opponent's counter plays when you play a big board. This is anti-tempo. So it's disrupting your opponent's board pre-emptively. Either they play cards, and if they have taunt or deathrattle, they're disrupted. Or they don't play them.
Meaning if you have lethal attack power in your hand. You guarantee a through line next turn.
I don't even really care about the taunt disruption, it's the fact that you can invest in a big deathrattle or buff a card and the Demon Hunter just kinda laughs at you. Affordable silence effects are just annoying. Especially since MOST modern buff strategies are about building things up over time.
Also I AM SO TIRED of these ridiculous Demon Hunter bots that just sit there and hero power your face over and over and rope. What a waste of my damn time.

This seems super powerful, but I'm not sure what rogue deck runs it. Probably something more tempo oriented. Maybe C'thun Rogue can be athing finally?

Seems kinda like... I'm not gonna say a meme, but one of the more "fun" mechanics of the set, though I think it's ladder viable.

...why Anetheron? That's so weird.

Playing a great game with my deck, managing to keep up with my opponent really well, have them on the ropes.
Then my mage opponent primed into potion of illusion. Which allowed him to play another one. Where... he got another potion of illusion.
Was really enjoying the match until then.

You're right, all the core set cards have had their schools identified, and Innervate is nature. So is Mark of the Wild.

Showstopper is a totally different kind of card. It requires a lot more set up and can be played around with spells.
This just silences everything at the start of your turn.
Going for a buff strategy? Putting up taunts to prevent the DH from hitting your face with weapons?
Too bad. All negated by one 0 mana spell.

I mean if you play two nature spells, this is a 3 mana Fungalmancer that can hit the same target twice.
Kinda nuts.
Doesn't even need to be token druid, you just need to have *a* minion in play.

I give up.
I thought they were cutting down on silence effects in order to make big threats more viable, but nope.
...this is such an obnoxious card.

Just played against a Paladin who thought he was the hottest shit because he played a super discounted Libram of Hope.
Can this class please get SOME kind of nerf already? Cripes. It's been a year since Ashes of Outland came out.
