Reason for Vectus is to draw the deck faster gaining the death rattles of loot hoarder and salhets pride to get to the point where you can go off with pen flingers. Also as a base 5 mana 6/6 it's just decent tempo. Still not sure how this compares to just going big with the libram buffs but it's something i'm experimenting with.

PHILAROY posted a message on Lifaithght - Midrange Paladin 71% WR at legendPosted in: Lifaithght - Midrange Paladin 71% WR at legendIn my opinion its a win more card which you have to work for, even at 0 mana its a wisp worth of stats and yes if your board sticks and you liadrin its amazing but if your board sticks 2 turns in a row you win anyway regardless of wisdom shenanigans.
So pay off is good but not necessary and to facilitate that pay off its going to be a loss of 2 card slots and some tempo early on.

Landister posted a message on [LEGEND] Stowaway PiratesPosted in: [LEGEND] Stowaway PiratesGromok is easily the worst card in the deck, mostly just messing around with him. And Kragg is fine but also totally replaceable.
Actually my current version already kicked out Kragg and I think on of the Buccs for the 2 new 1/3 pirates and it seems to be working. Currently rank 2 with only one loss.
Edited to my current list. You may be able to change out Krag for leeroy maybe... But honestly, I would go either another 1 drop pirate to give you an even stronger early game. Or do your favorite 3 drop, that tends to be the turn you have the least to do if you don't ball out in the early game.

Cyborg_1911 posted a message on Mecha'thun - Legend #90Posted in: Mecha'thun - Legend #90Against mill decks always have low amount of cards in your hand. Don't use your hero power once you have 6-7 cards in your hand. Use your early minions asap including spells like dark skies to free up more hand space (even if it's a waste).
Once you have your combo peices in your hand, burning some cards won't be a problem.

During my climb, I encountered two of them, lost to one because he got lucky and crushed the other. If you suspect this kind of deck, keep in your hand the most small minions and play plague of flames.

Apologies for the delayed reply. This deck will be nerfed quite a bit tomorrow so my advice isn't particularly relevant.
For starting hand mulligan: On the coin usually keep Spirit of the frog. Hare Evolve or just a Sludge Slurper is always what your looking for and the rest is matchup dependent, e.g. Look for devolve vs Paladin and Mogu Mutate vs Shaman.
As for lacking 1/2 plays, Invocation of Frost and Sludge Slurper is usually enough.
This deck will be significantly weaker after the nerfs, however still worth exploring the archetype.
Good luck on the ladder.

May I ask why is vectus included in your decklist?
Do the whelps get the libram of wisdom deathrattles, or are they there just for drawing cards (loot hoarder, salhet's pride etc.)?
2
ok i believe you bro hope i'll get legend with this
2
Would you recommend crafting this list?

Cool deck, just wondering how good are gormok and kragg? I'm always down for playing interesting decks but 3200 dust is a bit much to spend right now.

lightforged crusader could work well in this deck
2
Why zandalari templar though? Do you get healing off crusader often enough to make it worth?

I don't like the secrets package in highlander hunter because drawing phase stalker and hyena alpha are difficult. But then I kept losing to those running secrets (0-3). The irony ouch.
I think a light secret package (phase stalker and 2-3 secrets) might work better than cards like big ol' whelp, because even though it's more friendly to stormhammer it can be a dead draw. I appreciate the inclusion of albatross, meanwhile troll batrider hasn't proven to be very useful since not many people are running spirits now.

Did you actually hit rank 1 legend with it? Clickbait titles are really not appreciated anywhere.

How important is the malygos combo?

Not sure about zul'jin with 5 spells, rest of the list seems solid though
