    http://db.vanillagaming.org/?object=177241

This summon is also in vanilla WoW.

    Balance:

    • Effective stat line is 5/5 for 4 mana
    • Gave it 4 mana because of the weak body but added effect of being resummoned if not dealt with.
    • Phylactery summons on the start of your turn rather than end to prevent up trading with no down side, forces the opponent to deal with the minion twice on their turn.

    Balance/Rules:

    • If the opponent wins the joust they put their minion into play under their control.
    • Effect works like Deathlord where it's removing the minion from the deck.
    • Difficult to balance the mana cost so I went with 4 similar to Mindgames.

     Edit: added more information.

    Mindbender Ozron

This was difficult to come up with and I don't think it's a competitive card but I do think it's fun.

Any minion with a Mindbender attached to them has 1 attack and 1 health and immune. All other effects are negated. Effect is persistent and will effect any new minions summoned.  When Mindbender Ozron is removed all other minions return to their original state. See spoilers for more details.

Over thousands of years in the deep depths of the oceans of Azeroth the old god N'Zoth has been twisting and manipulating mighty sea creatures. Mindbender Ozron was created to instill into the hearts of all creatures their weakness. Waiting in the shadows Ozron continues watch for his moment to assert his dominance over the denizens of Azeroth.

    Example and Explanation:

Here is an example of a minion with a Mindbender attached:

Please ignore my lack of photoshop skills.

Rules surrounding minions with Mindbenders attached:

    • Minions effected are not transformed they stay the same minion.
    • Health and attack will revert back once Ozrom is removed.
    • The 1/1 immune minions can be used to kill off Ozrom.
    • Battlecry effects still trigger.
    • Minions lose Taunt, Divine Shield, Stealth, Charge, Silence, Windfury, Inspire, Enrage as well as any other effects listed on the card.
    • When Ozrom is removed all minions are restored to full health and regain Divine Shield, Stealth, etc...
    • Minions are not effected by any buffs applied before or while a Mindbender is attached. Those buffs will take effect after Ozrom is removed.
    • Minions can be destroyed with hard removal like Shadow Word: Pain immune doesn't prevent that.
    • Hex and Polymorph still work on minions with Mindbenders attached. They will still get 1/1 and immune while Ozrom is in play.
    • Cards like Savage Roar, BloodlustPower Overwhelming, and any other end of turn effects can still be applied to minions but won't change any stats but the effects don't wear off until the end of turn after Ozrom is removed.
    • Treants from Force of Nature will stick around until the end of turn after Ozron is removed.

I think this covers most of the strange interaction this card can create.

     Edit: Minor corrections to text.

     Eager Ogre

    Explanation and balance below:

    • Unlike other Ogres this one has a 50% chance to attack your own minions rather than the wrong enemy.
    • Similar to Maexxna but with half the cost and 1 less damage but the down side of a having a chance to kill your own minions.
    • Won't hit your own face.
    • If you have no other minions on the board it will always hit the intended target.
    • Intended for early game control play.
    • Could be abused by Inner Fire play but no more than Deathlord does.

     Edit: Spelling/Grammar corrections.

    Arena already awards gold

Yes but if you win you get 100g instead of a pack

If they award gold to buy a pack people will more likely just use it for their next arena run, making it easier to pay for arena runs by playing the arena. Maybe they could create a new card pack voucher that is given as an arena reward, that way you can select the pack you want.

Edit: Voucher idea was already mentioned so +1 to that idea.

I think it's bad. Arena does not aim for "new" players, it's probably the highest and most demanding form of playing the game. Should be always the newest set. And giving players the choice only complicates things for no reason.

New players should get their cards from the store. It even highlights the classic packs and tells them "best for new players" Maybe a discount for the first X classic packs bought with cash makes sense so they learn early its ok to spend some money on the game instead of being a f2p bum.

Arena is actually a really good place for new players to start playing. Arena is harder in the sense that you have to know and understand all the cards in order to build a good draft, but as a new player there is a a big appeal to be able to play competitively even though you have a small library.

This also has nothing to do with a players choice to pay or not. In the end it is a F2P game and everyone has the choice on if they are going to pay with time or pay with money. The only reason F2P works is because companies know that there will be people who don't want to pay. They also know that there will be people who will gladly pay and even compensate for those who don't. I've probably spent around $100 on Hearthstone since I started playing during the beta but there is still plenty of Epics and Legionaries that I don't have from GVG and Classic. This can prevent me from being able to create a lot of the decks in an effective manner and this can be off putting for new players who have even less cards available.

    Chromie

Basically Lorewalker Cho but for minions.

Edit: Also keep in mind that it triggers off of played and not summoned so spells that summon minions do not trigger the effect.

Does have a beard and damage effect.

    Vengeful Berserker

    Clarification/Balance:

    • Can attack twice in a single turn, like a pseudo Windfury that must be triggered.
    • Can't be triggered more than once per turn because of Bouncing Blade.
    • Can be triggered on multiple turns.
    • Can attack on the same turn played if triggered.
    • Can attack on opponents turn if triggered.

posted a message on Tavern Brawl 4. Don't play minions people use Spell only decks.

I was shocked at how many people I ran into who were trying to play a deck with lots of minions. Seems a lot of people thought "Oh lots of spells so Flamewaker Mage must be OP". Also seen a bunch of Rogue decks that reminds me of the old Miracle Rogue, but that could be just because a lot of Rogue spells are cheap.

Lets start making more mostly spell decks so we can get that good variety of RNG going!!

posted a message on Perfect Opening Hand (Brawl)

I try not to gloat on the forums but since it was all RNG and had nothing to do with any skill on my part I think this is alright. I just had to share the luck of this draw and the result:

The Coin + Innervate + Power of the Wild twice =

    Opening Hand

posted a message on attention:bad tempo mage players
    Quote from batanete jump

ok,maybe i came off as a bit more "aggressive" than i intended, but this is mostly due to frustration of how many games i played where this happened today on my freeze mage.my bad i guess.

Guess you need to work on your aggro posts!! eh... eh...!! Sorry just had to do it.

I think the biggest problem that leads to a lot of frustrations is that while you can play an aggro deck well, that with RNG you can still keep a decent win ratio while playing bad. This turns into people thinking they are good and in turn they don't try to fix their bad plays. When they lose they just blame RNG for the loss.

posted a message on Make a Hearthpwn Mobile App Already !!!

I haven't had any problems with using the site on my phone, I don't use it often but when I have it did what I needed it to do. Most mobile apps out there that are based on an already existing website basically that site put into a frame. Maybe with a custom navigation bar but if it's running poorly on your phones now then putting it in an app won't help because it's the same thing.

Glad to hear that they are working on the mobile side of it.

(Information based off my own knowledge gained from working in IT for a web based company that also has a mobile app.)

Want to link the other thread? Also I think it works well in a browser on my phone what do you need an app for? 80% of the time phone apps are just said website in a frame and it doesn't do anything different other than add push notifications.

Well Hearthstone is an RNG game. You will only win or lose based on RNG. Deck building is just about making sure the odds are in your favor.
