None of those cards deserve nerfs.

Dunscot posted a message on Hearthstone Patch 12.2 - New Dailies, Hallow's End, Welcome Bundle, New Keyword, Bug FixesPosted in: NewsIt's not that I want more free stuff but why don't they give the players that have already passed rank 25 22 packs as well? It's something we couldn't get back in the days. They keep giving new players more reasons to play the game but they only give free rares or a golden rare once every 4 months to older players.
Consider this:
When a basic card is nerfed, you likely have all the means to compensate for it. New players start with crap like Warsong Commander, Starving Buzzard and Charge and have to open better stuff first. You maybe got to enjoy the days when many basic cards were pretty solid. They never will.
When a card goes to the Hall of Fame, you can either reap free dust or craft them (golden) without losing dust. New players can never, ever open these cards in packs again, and they can't craft them for free anymore either.
If you ever play Wild mode, or a Tavern Brawl like the last one comes up, you can actually enjoy using old cards because you had the chance to get packs for all those old expansions, and maybe you even got to play the adventures. New players have to dump several hundred dollars for that, either buying old content with money directly, or buying new content with money to get all the dust for crafting old cards. C'Thun still can't be disenchanted or crafted, making him a card that can ONLY be obtained by new players when they pay at least a few dollars.
Not to mention, how much stuff you got from promotional bonuses, like free packs, card backs, hero skins... Back in the day, everyone got the first Wing of Naxxramas for free, then you had to pay 700g for it, and now you have to spend money for it.
And I'm not even getting into detail how 22 Classic packs are not doing much to give you a chance on the real ladder or in casual.
This should tell you that new players need all the help they can get, and that the developers never considered to retroactively give you things you missed out on. The game never treated all players equally, in that sense. At the very least, this should not be a surprise to you.

BlueberryQ posted a message on ArtifactPosted in: Other GamesValve just announced that Artifact is getting a couple of basic features, like chat and a colorblind mode. The Artifact sub has gone ballistic with hype. It's the saddest thing I've ever seen.

Infirc posted a message on About how expensive HS is..Posted in: General DiscussionI actually go for the opposite extreme, you only need 30 cards to make one deck :D, it doesn't matter if you have a full set you cant play all your 400+ cards in a single match, so you use those 30 cards you intend to rank with and that's it.

I'm also noticing a TON of packs with doubles and triples of cards.

YourPrivateNightmare posted a message on New Card Revealed: Glacial ShardPosted in: NewsI unironically think Shatter might become a useful card to put into your deck. Let's make a new kind of Freeze Mage...a literal one....or let'S call it ice Cube Mage....or Frost mage...or frozen Nipples.

hebbe84 posted a message on [YOGG-PATCH] - Slimjimm's Curator-Portal Druid [+GUIDE]Posted in: [YOGG-PATCH] - Slimjimm's Curator-Portal Druid [+GUIDE]Seems absolutely turrble, a mishmash of completely different directions in the deck which has no real synergy with eachother. I mean, double Mark of Y'Shaarj with 2 beasts in the deck, seriously?

The fact that they reverted 2 buffs shows that they absolutely know what they are doing.

I didn't get the card back :(
Edit: Ok, apparently I already had it because it was given in 2015 :P

1st of July, the same day that the Magic Core Set 2020 is release on Magic Arena. Not the first time this thing happens in the card-world :P

Don't think of the present, think of the future. If they are doing this is because there are some cards in the new expansion that would be a cancer with Vanish and Mind Blast.

I have been playing since the release, but I was never interested in Wild. This week I decided to try it and I got really surprised: after being bored by the Standard metagame, I was able to play with and against some of the decks and cards I have loved the most. Seeing old good Reno again made me feel old :P I think I will change to Wild until I get bored again.
PS: Ironically, I tried Wild because of the Toki bundle... even if I didn't buy it because I already have most of the cards :D

Me: "Great! I have only one classic Legendary left, so next one I get will be finally Captain Greenskin"
Blizzard: Lol, no.

I was wondering if this could be the best offer for a player that has a big collection, even if he doesn't play Wild.
I don't play Wild but I have most of the cards (I never disenchant in case I change my mind in the future). I wonder if this offer will give me a huge amount of dust for the best prize ever, and therefore is better than any other offer with Standard packs.

I think this would be a great idea for new accounts. They would have a huge amount of decent resources to experiment and learn, and would be able to focus on grinding/buying the other expansions. A great way of getting new players.

Turn 1 Pilfer, turn 2 Underbelly Fence. If the archetype becomes playable that will be an amazing start.

I love being able to buy a deck for 2 or 20 dollars. If Magic had something similar, I would comeback for sure.
I am interested on seeing how these changes will affect the market. I expect a drop in prizes (that we were already seeing, with Ax falling from 30 dollars or more to like 6 dollars). Prizes were affected by two facts: 1) No free packs and, especially 2) No nerfs (so far the only thing they had said about nerfs is that they didn't want to do them for obvious reasons).
I will play again for sure and see how the meta changes. As I have said is a game I like, but the complexity and game length make me want to play 1 match a week instead of 5 matches a day like HS.
