I think the fact that they are putting in a building for mercenaries that levels up your mercs for you passively like so many mobile games do is proof that that's the market they are targeting now. That and the whales that can afford to put tons of money into the game to have easy wins in duels, mercenaries pvp, and constructed.

Honestly, it seems like the AI in this Brawl is significantly worse than the Adventure AI. I'm starting to think that they intentionally made the AI do stupid things to simulate the "actors" being uncooperative divas or something. Either that or they just didn't bother coding them for these specific decks/cards, so the AI just play them willy-nilly like idiots.

Might also want to consider throwing in a couple of Vilefin Inquisitor and Crystology to make it even more likely that he destroys his own hero power.

Do you always say it "12th of July" or do you sometimes say "July 12th" or "July the 12th?" Because if you ever say it the other two ways, your argument is invalid. Also, I notice that our measurement of time isn't in your nice little infographic. We don't measure time with nice, round 100 second minutes and 100 minute hours and 10 hour days and 10 day weeks and 10 week months and 10 month/1000 day years do we? DO WE? Imperial measurement of space is more consistent with the measurement of time everyone uses. And, by the way, Fahrenheit is more accurate because it uses smaller degrees and is therefore more granular and it's simpler because it doesn't compel you to use decimals/fractions of degrees. Get over yourselves; it's all arbitrary anyway.

P.S. Just because a majority of people do things a certain way or believe a certain thing, doesn't make it right. History should make that pretty apparent.

Same thing with the word "soccer." Even brits get on our case about not calling it football, but "soccer" was also a british invention (short for football's full name, association football).

posted a message on Hearthstone’s Most Wanted Emotes

So why did it disappear and why do people want it back? Well, according to Ben Brode, it just wasn’t very useful and they already had “Wow” recorded…but a large portion of the internet suspects it was because players were abusing it and it got annoying.

That's such a cop-out reason though. People abuse EVERY emote, and Wow is just as spammed as Sorry ever was if not more so. And Sorry has so many more applications. I need the Sorry emote back. I need it for having been afk or forgetting to hit End Turn. I need it for when I'm about to screw the other guy over after he just did a cool play. I need it for when my opponent just got screwed by RNG. Wow is not enough. We need Sorry back. And if they don't want an asymmetrical emote menu, then they can add a genuine Good Game one or Your Welcome for good measure. Or hell, add all three and give us a laugh emote like others have suggested. There's certainly not enough there as it is. It's sad that were this far into this game's life with so few ways to express ourselves still.

I also wouldn't mind if they would make the concede messages so complimentary or nice. The Raza priest that just spammed his free Void Form on me isn't my "friend" and his moves weren't "smart" either. I'd rather have them all be like the DK concedes. This is a competition after all... Maybe it's just me though... I'm always salty in pvp games.

Seriously... All of these issues with not enough emotes would be solved by simply letting us talk to our opponents like normal human beings. They allow all chat in OW and SC2, so why not HS? I think Team 5 just doesn't want to have to deal with adding a reporting system, even though people already commit actionable offenses in Hearthstone all the time like friending just to harass.

I mean... MtG has had plenty of instances of card effects that were once described in full being reduced down to a single keyword. Also, physical cards don't have hover-over tooltips. There certainly hasn't been evolution in mechanics seeing how as Hearthstone seems to shy away from being able to directly access or interact with cards in your Graveyard like so many other card games do, even though there is clearly a button on the game board to do so (the skull icon next to both decks), which has been there since before Hearthstone's beta.

Yep... And Hearthstone has become just as much of a bad joke as the Simpsons has, too.
