"delayed" tempo is kind of a contradiction. Sure if your opponent top decks the overload its good, but the odds of that are pretty slim. Its more likely they don't draw it until later or even not at all and then all you did was play a vanilla 3/3 which is bad tempo.
Synergy with Pet Collector and Revive Pet to pull out King Krush early. Also the colossal cards from Ambassador Faelin are generally beasts and will summon all the parts when pulled out. Maybe not top tier, but definitely some fun things you can do with this.
I agree with most of what you said, except the its only scary with high value buffs. If you can get it up to about 4 health or higher this guy becomes a problem you can't ignore as 3 damage is usually the breaking point for a lot early game spells. Paladin, Druid, and now Priest can buff this very easily early on. and the high value buffs that are too specific can just be game ending if you manage to pull it off.
Bestial Wrath is only for 1 turn, my understanding of this it keeps its attacking immunity until it dies meaning your opponent has to kill it themselves or it will just keep getting free trades and then you're still left with a 2/2 making it super sticky. this is a great card.
This is part of the core set, so you get this for free and the old version won't be affected, but you'll only be able to play it in wild and the new classic mode.
That's pretty much it, but that's a big difference. Now when you play this your health doesn't get set and capped to 15 health. You just gain 5 armor instead.
...At least I think. Also because it is no longer a minion Willow won't pull it.

8 mana is a lot too though. some games you're just dead before you can play this.
