posted a message on Two Expansions and One Adventure Per Year, Knife Juggler & Leper Gnome Considered for Nerfs

Correct, it takes more than a month for a casual player to collect enough to purchase an adventure, that leaves eleven months to collect two whole expansions (well, the playable cards), most players won't be able to do that without spending money. However, compared to a lot of card games alternatives the fact that it's possible is amazing, keep on f2ping if you want/have the time and buy some packs otherwise, whatever :P

50/130 (that's 40% of the set dude) firstly that's already a COMPLETE overexcagguration of the good cards in the set, I'd reckon the playable cards amount is closer to 10-15-20

Secondly isn't it only logical that some cards just become bad automatically because better cards exist? Some cards are obviously worse but for cards to be very powerful some need to be very weak. If you study this subject you might realize that's how it has to be.

Oh, and, the deck size is 30, why in the world would we ever need/want more than 50 viable good cards, because if we get 50+ close-to-equal powerlevel that are good enough to be played, it would completely cycle out previously released cards

posted a message on Hearthstone Swag Giveway #3 - Drink Coasters

I'd definately go with Lorewalker Cho, I like deep conversations when drunk. After buying the first drink of mead we just keep summoning new glasses of mead for each other making an excellent drinking partner. I'd have to have someone else with me though to make sure I don't drink too much.

Braincast is a talkshow focused on tournament and high-level play, and almost anyone on any skill-level can watch this and enjoy some of the opinions.

    Braincast stream

This week we will be interviewing Amaz and NabUtte. We will feature all of the dreamhack big12! We will talk about who will win the tournament adding the cast+producer as the 4 random people in the group stage. We will talk about some decks doing well in ladder and decks that have been played in tournaments or could do well.

The hosts: @Schismatron (me, proclaimed the King of Murlocs by TheChiv), @Danielctin14 (2nd place of Dreamhack Bucharest and member of Next Please!).

The guests: @Amazhs (One of the biggest streamers of Hearthstone today and a really cool guy, top4 at Dreamhack Bucharest), @NabUtte (Swedish streamer that came top16 last season qualifying him for blizzcon qualifiers, has a sub-button and climbs the ladder really well!)

posted a message on Schismatron's Double Client stream, come learn while you laugh at me!

Ahoy! I am Schismatron and this is my stream! http://twitch.tv/schismatron/

I am 19 years of age and love anything with sugar in it and - although being a bit of a hypocrit - I hate salty things.

Currently I'm working on streaming more and more especially with my new original streaming concept of playing two clients at once playing arena and/or constructed! I'm playing a variety of decks although I doubt I will play control on both clients anytime soon. Come chat and have fun while learning. I will definately make some rookie mistakes because I am still not used to the double client but I can definately perform.

A little background info: I am a tournament player mostly, rarely grinded the ladder after I reached legend ranking (reached it on all test seasons) and just chilled in tournaments instead while retaining a social life. I am now planning on ruining my social life by streaming instead! CLEVER HUH?! Aaaanyway, I participated at Dreamhack in Bucharest and made friends with a lot of good players (Danielctin14 as an example), I participated in EU vs CN qualifier which was semi-invitational. I have placed top in a lot of community tournaments and I am also a professional coach in Hearthstone (I am not for free.)

I guess that's it for now! Good luck in the ladder, and see you on my stream today :D

posted a message on Schismatron - The new HS Youtuber

Hello, I am Schismatron! I am 19 years of age and live in north of Sweden (altough I've been told my accent does not reflect this) in the town Skellefteå. I was ranked #66 europe last season (peaked at 13) and I am quite active in coaching arena/ladder and also in tournaments.

These are some of my current merits, I have some other but I think some 1st places aren't relevant anymore and I can't find the source on them anyway.

I now try to go on the youtube market as I can't stream in higher than 2k bitrate which makes things blurry and I can't seem to fix it, I might stream smaller events though, but most likely I'll just record them locally and upload them instead. If you like to watch Hearthstone gameplay, be sure to check me out (I am also planning to make one or two Diablo videos but main focus is Hearthstone) and please do subscribe and share my channel with your friends :-)

This is my first match-video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DM8e-LsdAMY

I won't spoil the result in here, you'll have to find out by yourself! The match itself is Schismatron vs. Silhan and if I may say it myself I made a pretty nice play somewhere in there ;)

I'll be updating this thread when a new Hearthstone video arises in my channel.

Any tips, pointers and constructive criticism is quite welcome, as long as you keep it clean :-)

posted a message on Team [IDÉ] is looking for the final member to the roster. (EU)

We are already an established team and have scheduled tournaments and showcase-matches on the way.

I am Simon "Schismatron" Lindström. I am the captain of team Idé. The abbreviation stands for Idon'téven for those that are wondering.

We are looking for a top-notch player to fill out our roster, we recently lost one of hour members and since we are scheduled to play in a showcase match I want to speed up the process by increasing my search-span.

In a team you play together with us in tournaments, you participate in creating new decks and you mostly have a lot of fun! You will have a big advantage in the meta if your team helps you understand the current meta. Alone we are strong, but together we are invincible.

    • You should have reached legend this season or any of the previous seasons.
    • You should have played well in tournaments on here or anywhere else.
    • You should have a good pool of cards or dust to play a good variety of decks.
    • You MUST be a nice prick, we don't want anyone that flames and complains 24/7. We already have a person for that.
    • You MUST be able to speak English.
    • You MUST have a microphone as well, as we communicate via skype mostly.

If this looks interesting and you feel like you got a hint of a chance of playing with us, do not hesitate to contact me

posted a message on At What Rank do you regard as Good Players?

I would say people in rank 2 and better are good players, but for every day the quality of ranks drop until legend 500 is an "okay" player by some standards. But my definition of "good" players is "really fucking good".
