I just *had* a moment of clarity and I found that moment of confusion even funnier. So wait. You just accepted an invitation from a stranger to join a group with other strangers, you jump from a zeppelin with no parachute and only now do you ask the boss what's the plan and question it? How can you not like those villains?
I adore this video, props to its creators.

Padge posted a message on New Hearthstone Cinematic - Here’s the Plan! (Dalaran Heist Adventure)Posted in: NewsQuote from OverholtNA >>I was waiting for something interesting, but this whole theme just continues to be generic and underwhelming. Hopefully the content is fun, if nothing else.
You lot will moan at every bloody thing, won't you?
'Waiting' were you? What for? What was your great expectation from this, a small cinematic clip for some pve content in a digital card game? Why don't you wash the dorito dust off your hands and elaborate on what you would have liked, instead of acting like a snotty child?
What do you mean by generic? Do you know what the word means?
I liked it to be honest. It's a 2 minute bit of fun. It followed the theme of the expansion and along with the others that will be released over the year, will tell a little story of how it all plays out.

Twitchy posted a message on Details on the Updated Arena Rules for Rise of ShadowsPosted in: NewsI've finished 2 runs with Warrior and already fucked up by confusing Ravaging Ghoul and Rabid Worgen a grand total of 3 times.
3 mana 3/3 and vaguely similar art if you're not paying attention.

Haussenfuss posted a message on I can't wait till the next blizzard tournament OMEGALULPosted in: General DiscussionFWIW - the new Specialist format is the format which virtually every IRL card game employs at tournaments - players bring a deck, and play a bunch of games with it. There are some pretty good arguments for HS not employing this kind of format, but it's also worthwhile actually seeing what happens, rather than pretending that the end is clearly nigh . . .
It should go without saying - bringing a deck, and playing it hasn't exactly killed the CCG genre. Often, one deck is really good, and the tournament meta-game is quickly pared down to the really good deck, and the deck that beats the really good deck. It regularly happens with just about every game, and just about every expansion, to one degree or another - not because devs in every CCG are lazy and stupid, but because they make a bunch of really cool, powerful cards. Once the tournament meta-game shakes out, the devs ban cards that warp the competitive format - again, not because they are lazy and stupid, but because they want the tournament meta-game to be as diverse as possible.
If there is any value in pretending that this process heralds the end times, then the OP is perfectly justified in being its prophet.

This times a hundred, some of y'all have a strangely narrow vocabulary.

The addition of Hench-Clan Sneak in this deck makes absolutely no sense to me, which makes me all the more intrigued! Oddities makes the game fresh.
1
I like to think of them as mercenaries. The ”Hench” Word suggest they have a similar role as lackeys but the fact that they’re described as a ”clan” makes it seem like they’re for hire, working for the highest bidder. Would love it if we would see a Neutral Legendary Hench-Clan mob boss figure in the next couple of expansions!

I just wanna highlight the callback to the previous, utterly hated Noblegarden brawl. Dr. Boom showing up and saying ”The eggs are bombs now! Fixed it!” is a way of showing that Blizzard heard the community and tried to make it more action-packed and fun than last year. I just think it’s delightful, and I thought the brawl was a lot of this time around.

Triple inclusion of Dr. Boom. Loving the meme potential, I hope the different cards have some sort of voiceline interaction!

He's not saying the cards is shit based on the stats, only that the even 6/6 makes it more boring than if it were, for example, a 5/8. I kind of agree honestly, though it's a little nit-picky.

I am SO excited to play this and many of the new cards in Arena. COme to think of it, I'm just super excited to play the new Arena in general, almost as much as I am to play constructed!

As they promised, a Dirty Rat-style combo disruptor usable by all classes. I like it! The fact that it summons from the deck rather than the hand means there are more cards that are summonable. It also means, on the other hand, that it's more likely to target heavier late-game cards one would normally mulligan. Then on the OTHER other hand, it opens up for the opponent to make a risky mulligan to ensure they don't lose the combo pieces. Exciting stuff!

If you look at the website for Rise of Shadows on playhearthstone you'll notice that they spell the word "evil" like it's an abbreviation: E.V.I.L. I would imagine we'll know what it stands for in due time, but there's no harm in speculating! What do you guys think?

I’ve got my fingers crossed for more Dragon Hunter support. The Witchwood gave Hunter two dragons seemingly for no reason, so hopefully they’ll become viable. Paladin seems to be in a similar situation.
