Absolutely required if you’re playing Highlander.

posted a message on HearthPwn's Battlegrounds Hero Tier List

Anyone who's played Battlegrounds for a decent amount of time can tell you that Ragnaros has (arguably) the weakest hero power in the game. If you're lucky, one of those two fireballs he shoots out can pop a divine shield or maybe even kill a key minion like Baron Rivendare or Scavenging Hyena, but in the late game where almost everything has 20+ hp, it's usually a waste of two gold.

posted a message on Galakrond Quest Shaman [Updated]

I've always hated Quest Shaman. The stupid amount of value from the double battlecries, and it just got worse after Evolve was put into standard. (I kept beating Quest Shaman with my Quest Thief Rogue deck, but lost every time after Evolve came. Really glad that's gone now).

Now I find myself playing this deck and am just amazed at how strong it can be. I have become what I hate.

I can agree somewhat with the board clearing, but it never seemed like a problem (Spirit Lash, Shadow Word cards, etc) to just survive long enough to play a Shadow Essence or Barnes and pull out an Obsidian Statue or something with taunt.

More importantly, though, is that the benefits of an extra board clear come the demerit of a polluted rez pool, making Catrina and Spellstone less likely to improve your board.

It’s not even just the Rez cards, sometimes Barnes or Shadow Visions will pull him out too.

Can't play a single rez card without pulling out a Doomsayer and destroying my board in the process...

They seem to do more harm than good.

posted a message on Odds of getting a golden legendary?

I only remember getting three: Sylvanas Windrunner, Deathstalker Rexxar, and Duskfallen Aviana. Of those three, only Aviana was disenchanted. I forget what I used her for, but I'm sure it was something important.

So, first impressions after playing this:

It's not great. It's clearly a lot weaker than Bloodbloom-Cataclysm (and no wonder, with so many amazing cards that rotated out). You're either forced to waste cards, like Twisting Nether on an empty board, in order to lower your hand enough to play the combo, or you end up with not enough health to survive once you've drawn all your cards. You often run out of minions to trade effectively with, and your Hellfire doesn't have the damage to kill the enemy minions (trying to play Bloodmage Thalnos with it either takes too much mana, or he dies before you can get Hellfire off). Oftentimes I get Aranasi Broodmother in my opening hand or initial draw, which is just a real damn shame. Solarium -> Plot Twist is an interesting combo, and I do tend to get heals from Broodmother, but it's often not enough to survive.

I can't deny that I could just be playing poorly, but as of right now, this deck is just not that fun to me.

This is definitely gonna be one of the decks I'm trying once the expansion hits.
