I don’t think Assassinate works. The previous one asked for an interaction with deaths, not one that causes deaths. I’d expect a more suitable answer to be something like Necrotic Geist.
So, this deck has weaknesses which I'm sure many have come across, so I'll just post the ones I've found so far:
Dirty Rat: rip combo pieces. 'Nuff said. Fortunately, this is rotating out soon, so it won't be an issue for much longer.
Mill Rogue: Yup, again, rip combo pieces.
Mage: Facing another Mage is a huge issue, as their secrets will more often than not destroy you if you're not careful, and Ice Block is a huge shutdown against the combo as we have next to no way to pop it before unleashing the inf fireballs.
Yeah... no. Not much point in discounting cards you get randomly. You need at least 2 generated cards to get the minimum value out of it, and even if you do, there's no guarantee that the generated spells are any good. Not much sense in building around that aspect of the combo, so focus on either Leyline or Waygate, not both.
That sounds interesting, I'll give it a try and see how it goes.
EDIT: After a few games, I think it has potential. You do lose a bit of draw, but you do get a lot more flexibility. Adds all the things you mentioned, as well as some hard removal (Polymorph, etc.) for when Doomsayer fails/doesn't show up.
DOUBLE EDIT: I've also decided to replace Bloodmage Thalnos with Coldlight Oracle for better draw. The spell damage is next to worthless in this deck, and one less attack than Loot Hoarder means it's not worth including if I've already cut out the actual Loot Hoarders.

Hmm, I just realized something. Considering all the buff cards that are in this decks, have you considered adding The Last Kaleidosaur?

I've also learned pretty early on that Potion of Madness is your worst enemy when using loot hoarders.
