Sry, but you are 2 years too late with this thread

Dragonqueen Alexstrasza is way to slow and is more value oriented. At lower ranks or in the early seasons it migh be good tho so try it! Past D5 with quest mages and cube lock it's useless.

I got bored of standard and everyone copying the same meta decks from web. That's why i started playing wild exclusively.
I would say, for me it's harder to climb the ladders in standard because everyone can just copy what works at the time, so you end up fighting against one million same strongest decks.
In wild there are no meta decks, so my homemade decks are relatively stronger and much more fun to play.
In wild deckbuilding skills are important part of the game while in standard this skill become irrelevant. I just love spending hours sharpening my decks.

Quote from Warnerve75 >>making legend is nothing but a grind..I've done it numerous times and when I look back at the time I wasted I don't even know what I was thinking. Play the same deck and don't switch, learn the matchups and when you mulligan, hope for the best. Once you get the card back there is no reason to ever do it again. There really is no difference from rank 5 and legend in terms of skill. The only difference is how much time you want to waste getting the last 25 stars.
Grind indeed. But as for me the first legend was not the ending point. The next stop was wild legend. Then hitting top 200 legend. Then hitting legend with every class i like (shaman, rogue, hunter, priest, paladin). And after all I ladder every season, because legend rank is still an achievement for me.
I wrote at another thread some advices for other players, when i hit legend for the first time, here they are:
1. Make your own deck for current meta or pick 1 from metastats with at least 57% win rate.
2. Do NOT switch your deck after reaching rank 3.
3. Be patient and analyze your mistakes after every game.
4. If you are on a losing streak (max 2 defeats), quit the game and return tomorrow or after some time.
5. Know your deck and count your cards (i don't use any trackers because i play via my phone).
And the last but not the least. One thing that kept me going was: if you managed to get to rank 3 then you can do it to legend!
And i forgot about the final point: play a deck\class YOU LIKE. I tried numerous times to hit legend with classes i hate and ended being very angry and frustrated. GL!

Only a fool shoots himself in the feet before running a marathon just to get a sympathy vote. :-)
There's also that phrase about "cutting off your nose to spite your face".
This is a perfect metaphor for those who brag about being "F2P" and achieving some rank or other.

Always go cash for adventures.
Think of it this way: would you buy a 28 packs bundle for 20 €? Or at least, don't you think it would be an amazing value per money? If yes, you have your answer. With gold you're renouncing 28 packs of the next expansion

Another clue for knowing what you are facing is to monitor whether they mulligan off their left-most card. For Mage and Warlock this is a great hint to guide you through your first 1-2-3 turns.
Thanks for the advice so far!
Why could a mulligan of the left-most card show me some information? Is the left-most card always the quest when you have it in your deck?

I must be honest... I played just few games with the highlander version, finding it completely inconsistent.
Dragoncaster expecially with Power of Creation or Conjurer's Calling are just too strong to have only 1 copy and Zephrys the Great, Dragonqueen Alexstrasza and Reno do not reward for the lack.
Reno in most situations is just a bad Rolling Fireball, playing Zephrys the Great for healing most of the times was bad (I prefer to add better healing tools in the deck like Ice Barrier or Khartut Defender) and the current meta is just too aggro for Dragonqueen Alexstrasza (and you have a lot of other powerful tools vs control decks).

Exactly that.
If they keep it that could be a quest deck - either Quest or Exodia Mage or Mecha'Thun Warlock or Quest Shaman (did not faced many of those after R5). Although the opposite is a stronger evidence - if they mulligan it off, then they are almost 100% not a quest deck. I remember a thread that people were discussing whether it's a good strategy to mulligan off your quest from the starting hand when facing certain archetypes... but can't remember the conclusion.

Last week I hit Legend for the very first time in Wild. My biggest achievement in Standard is R2 and I play for about two years. In that context, I'd say that's indeed easier because I play Wild for about 3 or 4 months now.
My point is that you get used to the archetypes and power level of the others in the same manner as in Standard. Also you can expect more aggressive decks to be present near the milestone ranks and more laid back ones after you pass the milestones. That's a clue.
Another clue for knowing what you are facing is to monitor whether they mulligan off their left-most card. For Mage and Warlock this is a great hint to guide you through your first 1-2-3 turns.

Btw I dislike playing solo content... it doesn't add value to me and this is why I'm more willing to spend gold on that. BUT the math is:
2800 gold equals to 28 packs, but also to $20 in case you buy the adventure.
15 packs equal to $20 if you buy them directly from the shop. In that case if you spend gold on 1500 packs that will equal to $20.
So better invest your 2800 gold on 28 packs (from the new expac) and spend $20 on the stupid adventure? I'm aware that there is no deal in buying those 15 packs from the shop without any bundle or promotion.
Am I right?

Based on how previous adventures worked, you'll not be able to craft the cards until they rotate to Wild, i.e. April 2021.
To add more value to the thread, I read somewhere a comment stating that this time it's better content/value ratio to be purchased with gold. It was the opposite with the previous two adventures.

I won because I played super slowly on purpose and my opponent conceded on turn 3 -> try that strategy.
Worst. Brawl. Ever.

Dude, even if you get the desired randomness you'll still not be able to kill your opponent the same turn. So this means that this is not an OTK. This is a TTK instead - two turn kill which is severely conditional. Please fix your naming so you won't clickbait others who will then downvote your decklist.
Cheers for the idea though.

Just a statement. Chill, please.

Man, just...

Yup. But don't wait till last moment because the admission gets closed several days prior actual rotation. If you are not playing regularly Arena, you can do it right now (like me...). Otherwise 4-5 days prior should be safe as well.
