Just hit Legend (5th time) with your list. Easy-peasy. I kinda hate Corrupting Mist. It does its job but most of the times I find it very hard to play it properly. Perhaps Unstable Felbolt in its place?

posted a message on You guys just don't get it. If only you would complain more.

For me, the meta is as much diverse as it was just before the Doom in the Tomb event. There are plenty of decks to be played, each has some weakness(es). And with the Highlander decks there is plenty of room for tech cards. Yesterday I got TWO Dragonmaw Poachers played against me in a single game vs. Warlock.

Also, Wild is ton of fun if you get bored of Standard. Believe me.

    Quote from Warnerve75 >>

for most people here they will do everything they can to claim "f2p" status and not give the evil company a dime for anything they make. The mere fact the game still exists is that blizzard makes money from the continued support and development of Hearthstone. These people want to claim immortal staus of "look I've not spent a dime and I get rank "whatever". They will claim you suck if you spend money on the game at all and chastise you as an "idiot".

I claim 98-100 free packs every expansion from doing nothing but logging in to the game and completing the daily quest. I have played the game since closed beta. I have every card in the game and I'm at 67% complete golden collection. I have received more free things in the game since I've played than I can remember.  19.99 to me is about the equivalent of maybe .50 cents; I tip more for dinner than this all of the time. I can't speak for everyone but I can only speak to what I have witnessed from this community over the last 5 plus years and it's more toxic than nuclear waste.  I pay the devs for their content and only use gold for new expansion packs. F2P players can thank me and millions of others for actually spending money on the game for all these years.

Don't spend money you don't have; no one really cares one way or another.

Well said, friend. This is the reason I'm choosing to buy with cash. Thank you.

Another clue for knowing what you are facing is to monitor whether they mulligan off their left-most card. For Mage and Warlock this is a great hint to guide you through your first 1-2-3 turns.

Thanks for the advice so far!
Why could a mulligan of the left-most card show me some information? Is the left-most card always the quest when you have it in your deck?

    Exactly that.

If they keep it that could be a quest deck - either Quest or Exodia Mage or Mecha'Thun Warlock or Quest Shaman (did not faced many of those after R5). Although the opposite is a stronger evidence - if they mulligan it off, then they are almost 100% not a quest deck. I remember a thread that people were discussing whether it's a good strategy to mulligan off your quest from the starting hand when facing certain archetypes... but can't remember the conclusion.

Last week I hit Legend for the very first time in Wild. My biggest achievement in Standard is R2 and I play for about two years. In that context, I'd say that's indeed easier because I play Wild for about 3 or 4 months now.

My point is that you get used to the archetypes and power level of the others in the same manner as in Standard. Also you can expect more aggressive decks to be present near the milestone ranks and more laid back ones after you pass the milestones. That's a clue.

Another clue for knowing what you are facing is to monitor whether they mulligan off their left-most card. For Mage and Warlock this is a great hint to guide you through your first 1-2-3 turns.

posted a message on Galakrond's Awakening - cash or gold?

Btw I dislike playing solo content... it doesn't add value to me and this is why I'm more willing to spend gold on that. BUT the math is:

2800 gold equals to 28 packs, but also to $20 in case you buy the adventure.

15 packs equal to $20 if you buy them directly from the shop. In that case if you spend gold on 1500 packs that will equal to $20.

So better invest your 2800 gold on 28 packs (from the new expac) and spend $20 on the stupid adventure? I'm aware that there is no deal in buying those 15 packs from the shop without any bundle or promotion.

    Am I right?

Based on how previous adventures worked, you'll not be able to craft the cards until they rotate to Wild, i.e. April 2021.

To add more value to the thread, I read somewhere a comment stating that this time it's better content/value ratio to be purchased with gold. It was the opposite with the previous two adventures.

I was looking for threads like these because I recall previously there were lots of them. Unfortunately I can't find any now. How would you obtain the adventure?

posted a message on I usually don’t mind the meta but...

I kinda started to be okay with the meta. But that doesn't make the nerfs less desired (it happens that I have a bunch of Faceless Corruptors including a golden one).

Shaman has its counters - Face Hunter as stated above, but also the Highlander Mage and the Deathrattle rouge (which I started to play yesterday). I'm more curious with that in the meta at Rank 5 and 4 (EU) I see few Shamans.
