I really like this deck! Because Steward of Darkshire is somewhat replacable, I've opted for -2 Steward, +1 Consecration (for the mirror), +1 Dinosize (strong finisher no one plays around). Currently playing at rank 4, have not got to grind yet.
Glad you like it! I always felt evolve was too RnG for higher ranks of play unless the combos were extremely cost efficient. Devolve, however, is good bad RnG, if that makes any sense.
-2x Rallying Blade, +2x Grimscale Chum. Gives better mulligans and easier snowball wins. Rallying Blade is statistically one of the worse cards in the deck (it still has a positive winrate, but much lower than the other cards). This snowball strat works extremely well for edging out those extra wins against decks like Jade Druid.
That's the point. A large majority of decks from rank 5-1 are Pirates and Murlocs. The other small portion are mostly still winnable, if disadvantageous matchups. One or two taunts is not a loss though, this deck usually has enough tempo to trade some to keep the board open and kill the opponent. Board clears are definitely not the end of this deck either, since it has several methods of mitigating the effectiveness of board clear, or refilling it quickly.
Honestly playing with and against loatheb felt like it added fair strategic depth to the decision making in the game. I'm sure not everyone agrees with that, but most people I've talked to definitely liked the card a lot, at the very least.
I'd love to see some more of the stable [read: fair and enjoyably dynamic] cards from expansions be moved to the base set. Stuff that will keep standard interesting for years to come instead of being almost completely the same of a base year after year.
I cant wait for tournaments like this, but with a legitimate Banlist, something refined over time by top-level players, rather than community salt over a class-essential card like Fiery War Axe.

try finding room for the 2/2 Discover a spell guy, deck seems placed well rn because of all the Hunters.

Thanks! Knowing how to Shadow Visions and to hold Pyro gave me a huge edge. This deck is very rewarding of skill and practice!

There's an imgur link in the description, I went 28-12.

I agree on all points except Malchezaar. the rest are strong but fair cards that shape the game, Malchezaar is not.

Warrior without War Axe won't be good.

Well, we will see a lot of freeze mage since warrior will be unplayable.

Don't BLINDLY netdeck, yes, but it's still a great resource if you can actually improve from using and tweaking others lists.
I mean, if you don't ever care about ranking, do what you want.
