I feel like yeah, Kingsbane still takes a massive hit. But saying it'll be unplayable is a bit of a stretch. The deck may not heal every turn for crazy amounts, but the 1 cost spell still allows you to burst heal through tough situations and just requires the deck take on more resource management skills instead of humping through win streaks while bashing my head against the wall. With a little revamping, it could still be a viable control deck I feel.
KEEP IN MIND. Some of the classes that were the reason people needed to constantly be healing with Kingsbane to survive just also took hefty nerfs.
I may be wrong but this is what my immediate thought was I brushed through ranks 20-6 using Kingsbane before I swapped decks, and it was literally the most brain-dead EZ Mode game-play and unearned progression ever. THIS NEEDED TO HAPPEN.
All you guys are all right, I really meant odd mage. I don't know how I got them both confused. But yeah, any good ways to deal with odd mage. Been okay lately, but it can be a real sleeper creeper sometimes and I'm just bricking to find a deck that does decent against them. Only deck to comes to mind is a Mecha'thun deck.
Odd mage has pretty good sustain and control options in the mid game. They are weak in the early game. If you can find lists that allow you to either out value them in the mid and early games that should help. Once they play Frost Lich Jaina things become monumentally uphill. I have also had pretty good luck with this list:
I am actually impressed with this deck, at first I honestly thought it would be trash at the cost of 12k dust. But I threw it together and if you play it right this thing is a force to reckoned with. +1
I run the Zandalari Templars as well, and agree they are a great addition to the deck. Though the Sound the Bells! just seemed dead in hand a lot when I play tested it. High Priest Thekal is my latest addition and honestly he is super worth it due to lots of heal effects in the deck.

Focus on being ready to deal with Rag when he hits the board, and making sure you don't get stomped on by Frost Lich.
