I never ever play aggro. Don't play hunter either. Feels so auto-pilot, something you can do half-asleep.

Dream is to reach legend with rogue. I was 2 victories from legend by only playing freeze mage, closest I've been.

     Can respect that, same dream.

posted a message on Another season of Shamanstone.

From what I could observe, N'zoth Warrior seems to prey on Shaman.

It has earlier defense than say C'thun Warrior, and sticky minions that Shaman can't easily remove, while doing well against other decks.

This is based on watching my friend reach/in legend with the deck, obviously Hunter is still a bad match up though.

If I was Legend, and I might give them a freebie if I see they're rank 1 trying hard to get Legend because I know how hard it is, but after a full game where I had lethal.

I'd only do this for a Priest or Rogue though.

Rogues aren't harder than the rest, any combo deck of any class is hard to play at full efficiency, as long as you are not just playing value minions and you can make mistakes by playing the wrong combo at the wrong time the skill ceiling increases

     Wrong thread?

Questing with Leeroy? That's interesting, I'll have to give it a go.

I would understand if this player I was playing against made dumb decisions but it's not the case because there are many players like him that makes that very same play, also don't describe that it's only ranked 14, I've been in rank 5 and above before, it's not much different in terms of play style

Generally a Mage rank 5 to legend at the very least isn't going to waste arcane missiles like that on a full health opponent on turn 3, they need activators for Flamewaker, they get more spell damage with drake, thalnos, cult sorcerer, and it's an activator for Antonidas.
That's a rank 14 play if I've ever seen one.

I hate aggro like everyone here on this site, but to be fair it's rank 14 late in the season, everyone is going to make many misplays there.

Usually an efficient aggro player only has to two trains of thought any game though

    1. Should I use any burst to protect/remove minions for more potential face damage?

    2. Will I topdeck lethal?

Well I can give the full thief rogue a shot this upcoming season, I don't think it will be that good though.

I know it feels dirty but just play aggro shaman..... if you have never been legend anyways.
im in rank 3 too , I feel so defeated when I win a game then lose the next, it feels like Im wasting time. The game should really allow win streaks all the way to legend, stopping at rank 5 is pretty ridiculous.
I'd honest rather not make Legend than have to play a whole season as aggro Shaman.

It is difficult to accept when it happens, but it's just a game, a pressure that you put on yourself to reach your goal. Play to learn of your mistakes and Legend will come naturally.
At least that is what happened to me, "I was thinking I am gonna reach legend this month, I have never been that close" when I was rank 2 3 stars. Then I fell back 2 full ranks on the last day of the season. So I started to play just to improve my piloting of the deck and understand the different match ups better. 3-4h later I reached Legend.
Just try to answer the following questions, it should help you rationalize your climb:
    • Do I feel comfortable with the deck?
    • Did I misplay this game? If yes, did it cost me the game, could I have won the game otherwise? If No, what did my opponent do to beat me without me misplaying.
    • Do I understand the win condition(s) of the deck I am playing in the different match up I face?
    • Does my deck have some match ups that are close to unwinnable, do I see them often on ladder?

And if you play on NA I can spectate some of your games and maybe help you with those.

I indeed do play NA, I probably could use coaching, I mostly use Rogue and Warrior if you're experienced with those classes.

Obviously it's too late for me to reach Legend this season though.

It's a shame that Pirate Rogue just doesn't work at all either, I'd like to mess around with it more.

you know it's funny people voted 65 percent warrior but hunter has the highest winrate on ladder for a month now

I don't think Hunter is a strong class, it is just has a single OP card.
