I really don't get how people consider Patron warrior a hard to play deck, I routinely play it in the rank 8-12 range (in before bashing my rank) at 70-75% success.  I stop because its boring.  The reason I don't believe patron warrior is b/c I don't feel there's a lot of decisions to be made, yes you have to do some very basic math (which most of the time is overkill tbh) but the strategy is linear, stall & draw, Emp T for efficiency, clear taunt and combo.  I think of difficulty of decks in terms of amount of difficult decisions to be made:

Brainless tier - face hunter, mech sham/mage, most rush decks.  I can play these decks while watching a movie and I don't feel like I miss anything.

Calculation Deck, Singular strat - otk priest, patron war, and malygos lock.  The win condition is obvious but you have to count removals and setup 2-3 turns earlier.

Strategy Decks:  control priest, handlock, and control mage.  There are tons of decisions to make and tons of win conditions.  I'll use handlock as an example; if you get a strong draw of drakes + small minions vs another control deck, you can push hard and early and go for a 8-9 turn win.  You can trade efficiently and overwhelm the board.  Or you can pull unique plays with Sylvannas like Sylvannas + shadowflame to steal Rag.  I find control mage very challenging, I'm not able to finish opponents and I blow my aoe clear too early.

TL;DR - Combo decks you know the win condition, you have to find a way to get those cards in your hands.  Control decks have multiple win conditions depending on the cards in your hand.

Dude, there is a WHOLE TON of decissions that have to be made during matches, math is the least of concern here. You do not pull out the combo all the time playing this deck so you have to think about your strategy during each turn and its funny how you say it so easy that "clear taunt and combo". Sometimes its even impossible to breach a taunt and go face while efficiently playing your minions.

Although i hate face/otk decks like patron warrior or face hunter i must say that people know shit about these decks and how to play them correctly. Its sad to see people posting like: "patron warrior is easy to play as #%!@ VERY EZ" because they just show how they wade into ignorance. I played several types of face or otk decks more or less successful, then, eventually stopped playing them because im control-oriented player and they are rly hard to play so dont listen to this bullshit that freeze mage or/and especially patron warrior is easy to play.

I liked.  5 mana, destroy rag

3 mana, destroy rag, leave a 4/2 body on the board seems better for me
