Alright, so hear me out. + Yogg-Saron, Master of Fate.
Right now the only "no minion" synergies we have are basically Font of Power and Apexis Blast, which, by themselves are okay cards, but I do kinda feel underwhelmed by them at times. Since it's random, y'know you can get those low rolls, or minions that don't really help much.
Now, if we take them out in favour of some other spells and throw in Yogg... now we have a double comeback/win condition??
We can call it a "Spell Heavy Yogg'thun Mage!"

If you've already been saving up dust you might as well wait until the next expansion.
Although I have to admit, I've tried reading your post a few times and I'm not even 100% sure what you were asking.

I'm not too sure what it is, but Demon Hunter just doesn't feel like a real class to me. I practically refuse to acknowledge its existence. I tried it out when it first came out, but that was the first and last time I played it. I can't see anything ever sparking interest in the class for me. Anyone else feel a similar way? If so, what's your reasoning?

Raza Priest discovering Coldarra Drake...

Greetings everyone,
Looking for a way to successfully play priest that doesn't lead to long, grindy games? I just took this silence priest homebrew to Legend from the very bottom of the ladder super fast (62% win rate to Legend 2167).

I used a similar deck last season, but feel like this one is really refined now, and performing well against the meta.

The deck is fast and fun with the average game taking 9.1 turns. The deck guide above has things like strategy, mulligans, card choices, and stats from last season. Here were the hero matchup winrates this season
Demon Hunter 19/29 65.5%
Priest: 11/15 73.3%
Hunter: 7/15 46.7%
Druid: 7/12 58.3%
Warrior: 6/10 60%
Rogue: 6/7 85.7%
Mage: 5/7 71.4%
Shaman: 3/6 50%
Paladin: 3/5 60%
Warlock: 0/2 0%
Notably strong against Demon Hunter Priest, Rogue, and Mage. The only bad matchup against a popular deck was Highlander Hunter (4/11, 36.4%).
Any suggestions or have you tried something similar? If you give a shot let us know how it goes. Good luck to everyone!

I am glad you are having as much fun as I am playing a deck that breaks the meta! Thank you so much for your kind words!

It is very complicated to pilot correctly but once you get it down its really fun because you start comboing turn after turn. The part of the deck you have to realize is Shudderwock is not a finisher unless you get that dream combo but it rarely happens. I use him to draw minions like Reno Jackson and Vashj Prime because ofJeppeto Joybuzz earlier in the game. Usually 2 battlecrys of Shudderwock leaves you knowing which cards are left in the deck. On the same note I play Shudderwock as Vashj Prime if she's already been played to draw spells. I don't hold him till the end like most Shudderwock decks. If I get one of Vashj Prime or Jepetto Joybuzz or Reno Jackson or Grumble, Worldshaker out of of him it usually sets the game up for the win. If you have him ready to use battlecrys for spells and minions for cheap that's usually a win as well. Ill give you an example of how some turns look that feel really good.
Turn 9 - (8mana)Jepetto Joybuzz Pulls Grumble, Worldshaker for 1. Play (1mana)Grumble, Worldshaker to pick up Jepetto Joybuzz and he now costs 1.
Turn 10 (1mana)Jepetto Joybuzz Pulls Shudderwock and Vashj Prime and they cost 1. PlayShudderwock and now you most probably have every minion left in the deck pulled for 1 because he will play Jepetto Joybuzz's battlecry twice pulling 4 minions for 1. Play a few of them and then play Vashj Prime. You should have some free damage spells and Malygos in your hand that allows for a quick burst to finish them off on turn 11.
I always try to hold my face damage spells (Lightning Bolt Frost Shock) that cost 1 throughout the game for Malygos at the end. I will dispose of all others if I need to keep my face alive. Thats 14 damage with Malygos if you have either of them for 0 which isn't hard to do in this deck. That way I have an answer to do some damage on a turn after I've hurt him a bunch. Usually ill grab 1 other face damage spell(Lava Shock Lava Burst) from Vashj Prime and that ends the game usually.
Play your minions like a tempo deck. Always trade up or go face if you out value their board. If you keep pressure on them you will finish them easily with 2 spells and Malygos
I'll post some screenshots from games below and explain how I got there.
So in this match up against a quest mage I put massive pressure on him early game with the The Fist of Ra-den and I held onto Lava Shock that was pulled by a Electra Stormsurge Far Sight from the beginning of the game. Frizz Kindleroost made Malygos cost 7 and then Emperor Thaurissan brought him down to 6. Vashj Prime was played the turn before for 1 to pull Lava Burst and Lightning Bolt. As you can see the win from this hand is straight forward and simple. Malygos > Lava Burst > Lightning Bolt > Lava Shock to the face for 24 damage and then hit him with your 5/5 Emperor Thaurissan and he's dead.
in this matchup I used Emperor Thaurissan to make Malygos and Electra Stormsurge cost 1 less. I had pulled the cards Lava Burst and Lava Shock from Vashj Prime. Emperor Thaurissan and Vashj Prime are on the board. No one laves a 5/5 and a 5/6 on the board so they took the damage as planned. Then as you can see its an easy win from this point. Malygos > Electra Stormsurge> Lava Burst (twice because of Electra Stormsurge > Lava Shock for a total of 27 damage which wins the game.
Every deck has a learning curve but this one has a big one. Im 16-4 since I put Frizz Kindleroost in the deck and once you realize you don't really have to hold on to anything except the 2 1cost spells and Malygos it becomes easy to chip their life away until you are ready to finish it.
Don't forget you have 4 full heals in this deck if used properly. Possibly more with Grumble, Worldshaker.
Electra Stormsurge > Healing Rain close enough to a full heal because when will you ever be under 6 life.
Omega Mind > Earthquake or Hagatha's Scheme
Be sure to know when you'll need to keep these cards to make sure you can survive until you have lethal. I hope this helps you understand how to pilot it a little better but once you practice with it you will see its potential is unlimited. Have fun and thanks again for the upvote!

Hit your hero button against aggro as much as possible. Against control play as many taunts as fast as you can and kill them with the rag shots. Against control your most important card is infested goblin. Gives you 3 ticks on the quest.

Really enjoying this deck, thanks!
Even though i'm having very mixed results between D5 and Legend atm, this feels like a really solid and actually quite versatile deck. It just frequently falls just slightly short when up against all those no minion mages..

I was also thinking of ways to include Yogg ~ and it might we worthwhile to include it as a replacement for Deck of Lunacy. At least in my experience deck of lunacy is hardly needed nor useful. Drawing all pieces of Cthun happens mostly whenever there's just very few cards left in the deck. using him prior to cthun is just really playing the game for the shits n giggles.

Having an absolute blast with this deck! (:

Damn :') Already feel sorry for your opponents lol

Very relatable actually. I guess for me it was simply that it felt like very little to no strategy was necessary to play DH and generate tons of wins, given how extremely broken the cards were on its initial release (2/2 battlefiend was just absurd). The games played against DH were simply so unfun that I wasn't willing to participate in giving that experience to other players (and I am generally also more of a Control style player).
I did play a little DH in the current expansion as my first 2 Scholo legendaries were Soulciologist and Kreen (so friggin' disappointing) ~ the soulshards have given a little bit of flavour to DH that I do enjoy, but it still feels as a non-versatile experience. Not my cup of tea.

I find it quite interesting that there are several assumptions being made about me complaining or not being allowed to showcase how bonkers this first turn by my opponent was because i was playing a 'broken' deck myself.
In all honesty, it was mostly to show how insane a first turn could potentially be with this new expansion. I wasn't even mad when this happened, I was just majorly bamboozled.

Man, i'm always excited whenever you post deck recipes as i've had great fun with your decks in the past. This one is an absolute banger as well, took me to From High Plat to Diamond 3 with something like 80-85% WR.
It starts to get more difficult now though, facing people who are seemingly already very comfortable in this expansion - especially the aggro stealth rogue players, really tough match up.
Thank you for the awesome deck though (:

This happened to me on turn 1, instant concede.

With 1 hour left on the clock I made it to first time Legend with your deck ~ and at least equally important, I've had lots of fun playing it. A big thank you to you for the deck as well as the guide ~ helped me tons (:

I knew I was gonna have an awesome early game with this deck, but couldn't believe that I could actually quite easily mak3 it to 12 wins with it.
