I've tried including him in decks that run just enough targeted spells and tried building around him completely, and he's always felt not very good to me. He just dies too easily, so you're unlikely to get any value beyond the turn you summon him.
I'm not totally opposed to a system like that. Letting the market decide a card's value instead of cards being lumped together depending on rarity. It gives it a physical TCG feel. I mean, should Glacial Mysteries and Ultimate Infestation have the same value? It's up for debate. Artifact's system isn't really for me, but I can certainly see the appeal of it.
50 from the pre-order + whatever we get for logging in. I have 11k in gold saved up, but I don't think I'll have to spend all of it to get the cards I want. I'm thinking I'll probably open another 80 or so with gold.
I think it's possible all of the Spirit cards are bad. Spirit of the Shark is probably my favorite, but I'm not sure there are the combos & battlecries in the game right now to support it.
Spirit of the Tiger I think is probably the strongest right away. Spirit of the Dragonhawk seems like one of the worst cards of the set to me, so I'll say that's the worst of the Spirit cards.
The power level of sets like Witchwood and Rastakhan's Rumble seem perfect to me. Balanced and well designed. Kobolds and Catacombs was way too powerful. Go take a look at the insane cards that set gave us (for every class), several of them had to be nerfed. There are many you could argue should be nerfed.
Interesting, this is probably one of the strongest cards of the set, but so many of the decks that want to run it would have to cut Keleseth. This will be in every Even-cost deck though and once Keleseth rotates next year, this is going to see a ton of play.

Isn't it obvious?...
Use Unstable Evolution to evolve into Doubling Imp, cast Spirit Echo to get the Imp in your hand. Easy.

So 135-140 probably.

Elemental Evocation
Amani War Bear
Rain of Toads
Stampeding Roar
Those are all in that conversation, in my opinion.

Zul'jin
Jan'alai, the Dragonhawk
Krag'wa, the Frog
Haunting Visions
Oondasta
Mojomaster Zihi
Those are the legendary/epic cards that I'm blind crafting on day one if I don't open them.

A lot of 3 mana 3/4s this set.

Sneaky card here. Definitely going to see play in aggro decks.
Great art, too!
